Buttons Family Campground

My husband and I stayed here for just over a year. The management is very accommodating and respectful. The club house is nice comes with every you would need if you weren’t camping with an RV. The pool was fantastic, it is salt water which is better in my opinion especially if you have kids. They just put in a dog park area and it’s a decent size. As far as things to do in the area, Swansboro is about a 10 min drive from the camp ground. They have tons of places to fish or rent boats, jet skis, paddle boards, you name it. The camp ground is budget friendly and a great spot to stay short term or long term.

If you are looking for a sweet, quaint campground that is pretty close to Camp Lejune or some of the other popular points of interest, this is your place. They are very accommodating and super friendly. The sites are level and there is ample space between. The bathhouse is very clean.

My husband and I just returned from a three-night stay at Buttons Family Camp Ground and absolutely loved it. We are local and are looking for a quick restful getaway and found it at Buttons! Donnie is very accommodating and the lot was beautiful. It was extremely peaceful and serene and very relaxing. Loved the pool and the clubhouse. We will be back soon!!

We stayed here for a full week and absolutely enjoyed every minute! Joyce is amazing and so very accommodating and the residents were so very welcoming. We were tent camping and she put us right next to the club house, clean bath house and 6' pool under some beautiful shade trees. There's wifi and a kitchen to cook in! The location of the campground is ideal as well as it's about 4 miles from the main strip and within 10 miles of Emerald Isle. 10/10 recommend!

Clean Bathrooms! This alone will be enough to bring us back. For the smaller size of this campground, we were pleased to easily enter and exit with our large bus. Our 40ft transit bus fit perfectly at our campsite. The lawn is well manicured. The water pressure was great and consistent. Our site had 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp receptacles. The owners are very nice, very helpful, and had great communication before and during our stay. When we are in Swansboro again, this will be the campground we stay at. If you stay here, please help the rest of us keep this place clean. It's so nice to find a spot where the owners care and the residents work together to maintain a clean and peaceful campground. This campground has a mix of long-term and short-term campers.

Joyce is a wonderful park owner. Donny maintains the park. If you have a problem Donny's on the spot. Joyce gets her hands dirty as well, trimmed trees, keeping this park beautiful. Wonderful location to Swansboro NC, all the shopping you need is 15 minutes away.

Stayed at Buttons Family Campground for 2 weeks. I'm pretty simple. I like trees, clean bathrooms, and quiet and friendly people. I give a thumbs up to Buttons. Lots of trees, super clean bathrooms, and a very quiet and family oriented environment. I will for sure be back!!!!

Lovely campground with equally as lovely people. The grounds and pool were always clean, bathrooms and clubhouse as well. Full hook ups with great water pressure. Neighbors and owners were beyond kind and accommodating; we already miss them dearly! We'd love to be back asap! ❤

A true hidden gem. Smaller park with alot of long termers on property, which they were all very friendly and staff was always accomadating, the owner always available by text and responded quickly to any issues, even though only one was tree was in way of awning and they trimmed it the next day. Everything was very clean and the spaces were not crammed in to tight. We were there for 2 weeks and had a blast.

We had our RV parked here for about 5 weeks while we moved from Virginia to NC and stayed multiple nights. The staff were all super friendly. It is a small campground with some long term residents who seem to really like it there. The monthly price was great and is a big plus for military or traveling workers. The pool was closed for the winter but looked inviting. The clubhouse was basic but generally clean and had warm showers. The kids loved playing pool but we didn’t use the kitchen or cable TV there. Out T-mobile reception sucked but I got enough to do a 3-hour computer teleconference. Residents said Verizon is better. They were making improvements to include new power poles and grading and adding gravel to some of the sites. It was super quiet and we felt extremely safe.

There is alot of permanent sites. Everyone was super nice . Camp host helped us get us right to our spot. It was easy to back into with a very level site. The pool was already clean and ready to be used as soon as its warm.

I really enjoyed my stay here, great family business as well.

Joyce was absolutely accommodating in our last minute request. There is wifi at the property! Sites are a good size! There's a pool, clubhouse, and bathrooms/showers! Very reasonably priced!!! Family atmosphere. We will return when in the area!!!

Very nice family friendly campground, very well kept and everyone looks out for one another there. We stayed 2 weeks and very much enjoyed the pool and location, the lots are spacious and clean with all the amenities you can ask for! A few regulars there pointed out all the good BBQ joints and attractions nearby and we were not disappointed. Would recommend this campground to anyone looking for a clean and safe place to camp!

I love this place! The family that runs Buttons is very pleasant to work with, they truly care for the campers here. They are family oriented and in many ways make you feel like family. Donnie is your go to guy if he can't help you he will find someone that can, but usually he can. The bathrooms are always clean and ready for you. The pool is a big plus in my book, it lures my grandchildren here, lol! Speaking of lures there are several fishing spots very near the campground so don't forget your fishing pole. They really work hard on keeping the grounds clean and the grass cut so you don't get carried away by the mosquitos. Buttons is a great place for an even better price.

Great campground my husband & I & the 2 dogs enjoyed our stay , we want to come back after we sell our house & stay longer , I will tell my friends & family to try this campground.

Friendly and quiet, close to the beach. What else can you ask for?

Not the most scenic of campgrounds, but definitely a hidden gem! We wanted a quiet relaxing weekend and this place was perfect for that! Only 5 minutes from Swansboro. The owners were very nice and made sure our stay was a nice one.
