AMC CLASSIC Havelock 6

Had a great time at the movies tonight. We are from out of town, so this was the first time going to this location. It was your normal movie theater though lol. It was kind of empty at first. But once the movie got going, there were actually a handful of people in there.

Overall building looks clean and staff is generally nice. (Although they have had some bums in there) I’ve always gone here and never had any problems so I recommend going here if you are in the area and looking to see a movie at the local theater

Reasonable prices for both tickets and concessions. The theater was clean every time I've visited and the seats are very comfortable. The audio levels are great as well.

Our family goes here often. It is the only reasonable priced movies that is still affordable for entire families. It is a basic looking AMC and not the new or very nice movie theaters but well taken care of and nice. Especially for the price....highly recommend. Popcorn is also really good..

Easy to park. GREAT staff. And good sound and seats. The movie was ever so slightly out of focus at first, but they took care of it quickly. There are also several restaurants nearby to get a bite to eat before or after the movie. So, overall, an excellent date night theater!

Friendly, helpful staff, clean facility, efficient, comfortable, good temperature, and great movie, " Oppenheimer"- will probably win an award if not several.

5/27/22: we get in line to see Top Gun and at approximately 1240pm, the Manager unlocks the doors and makes an announcement that the one guy who was supposed to be there to help him open, calls in and fails to show. He respectfully requests everyone to please be patient with him as he was running the ticket and concession counters! Bravo Sir! Job Well Done! Your positive attitude and friendly personality were a joy! Many thanks for a great AMC theater experience despite your employee challenges!

The Theater was great! The facility was clean and the staff was super friendly and really helpful. Seating was a little on the smaller size, but still had plenty space, and they had seat boosters for small children! (My kids just wish they were more comfortable)
But I found it to be family friendly, clean, and all around a good time.

Nice, clean theatres. Good concessions at an expected price for theatres. They offer a savings club for frequent movie goers. Courteous staff.
As far as long lines, if customers would make up their minds prior to ordering, the line (if there is one) will move quickly.

The two managers are kind, respectful, polite and sympathetic. We had the unfortunate experience of a child becoming ill at this theater. Luckily it happened while my wife and our child were in the bathroom and not in the actually theater. One of the managers came and found me in the theater and alerted me to the situation. They took care of cleaning up my child’s mess in the bathroom quickly and without any kind of malice or feelings of animosity. They gave us passes to come back when our child was feeling better. They also stopped us on our way out of the theater and let us know that they would take care of our popcorn and drink the next time we returned. I have never been treated with such respect in a bad situation. This is our theater! We love to see movies here and we will continue to see our movies here. Two thumbs up! Thank you again for the way you handled this situation.

I'm from Nashville so I'm used to being in crowded theaters. I love the smallness of this one. Prices have gone down since becoming an AMC, and that's desirable. The staff is super nice, unlike what I'm used to in big cities. I never have to wait in line long.

I really like this movie theater. They are always kind and friendly here. The theater is clean.. lobby as well as the viewing rooms (for lack of better words). We really like the matinee movies as well as the regular priced movies. I would choose to come here full price before others.

Clean and comfy!! Felt like home..Movie started on Time.. They Ran out of ice but ...the drinks was still cold

The service was great, the teenage kraken movie was a 10/10 for sure. Overall it was a great experience.

There were 2 very nice host in the lobby. One was cleaning an area and the other took care of our tickets and popcorn. The theater was clean and we enjoyed the show.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Michael and Dee were the nicest people I've ever met and they worked so hard to make my movie going experience absolutely incredible. They were extremely courteous and friendly. I had such a wonderful time!

I have been to this theater ever since i was 13 and personally I don't find any of these reviews to be true. First off i've never seen anybody sneak in alcohol and get drunk and interrupt a movie. Second i've never been when when the air conditioning wasn't working and it gets really hot in the summer here. Third i've never seen cockroaches in the floor crawling around and i've been coming here for years. Now you should know that I don't usually get concessions at movies because i go out to eat before hand but I have at this theater before and I thought the candy selection was good and the soda and ICEE machine was working and has always worked when I see people try to use it. This isn't the only movie theater i've been to so, yes i agree it is a older building and with older buildings comes the look of not being cared for but it very well is after every movie they go in a and sweep and every time i'm in I see someone wiping or cleaning something. All of these bad reviews might have been true when they went but I have been coming to this movie theater for years and it has always but a wonderful experience. I usually go on Tuesdays with my nieces and watch one of the child movies that are being shown at that time they always have a blast and the best thing is the movie tickets are only 5 dollars. This theater is old but it is a wonderful place with a family friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this theater to anyone.

I lived in Havelock, NC years ago, while in the Marine Corps. 😎👍🏿The Havelock Theater started out as a four plex. I remember seeing the movie "Purple Rain" there. 🙂🍿🍫🥤

Nice theater and friendly staff. It's super clean too.
