Jones von Drehle Vineyards

This is our favorite winery here in NC. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful winery. Chuck and Diana are always welcoming and we’ve enjoyed being wine club members the last few years. They are making fantastic wines- from their Viognier, to their Malbec and to my personal favorite, the Grenache Rosè! It’s a beautiful vineyard near Stone Mountain with delightful staff. We love JVD!

Owner Diana is charming, personable and knowledgeable...loved talking to her. All of the staff are wonderful especially Morgan. We liked the wines so much we joined their wine club.

Family owned winery making excellent red and white wines from mostly French grapes. Wine quality is very good. Property is cool - a basic tasting room, nicely decorated but not outlandish, a huge patio, an events building, and a huge outdoor stage for concerts. I believe they offer tours of the vineyard but we arrived on a day that threatened rain.

Staff is amazing and the wine selection is very good. I recommend the steel and stone for a dry red with a bit of sweetness. A must stop after hiking stone mountain!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Jones von Drehle. It was our 8th winery visited in Yadkin Valley and by far the best. Their tasting included a mix of whites and reds, of which we did not taste a bad wine.
We wish we lived closer than 3 hours away to enjoy their summer concert series, but did join their wine club as they offer free shipping on full cases. We'll be back!

I came up here with a group this past week and was blown away by their quality of wines. They do such an amazing Petit Verdot! The owner took his time to talk to us and show his production room. I thought the amphitheater was very neat, and will definitely come back when the weather gets warmer for a concert! Thank you Jones von Drehle!

Good tasting experience here. Lots of good dry wine here. The owner was very personable as she takes the time to come around to engage guests. This place is building an 8,000 seat amphitheater and a event center. Nice relaxing g views from the spacious seating areas.

I believe that Jones Von Drehle Vineyards just became my favorite in North Carolina! Their wines are really really nice! And so are the fabulous folks there. Due to Covid, we were not able to see indoors, other than the very clean and beautiful bathroom, but the patio and setting were beautiful. We’re excited to see the new event venue they’re building next to the tasting room. We were celebrating a birthday and were able to bring our own picnic, which was really nice because we all three had some unusual food requirements 🤓. Super hospitality, fabulous wine, beautiful setting - a great option for a fun day in NC!!

We visited Jones von Drehle last year and enjoyed their wine so much we joined the wine club. Yesterday, owner Diana Jones hand delivered our wine shipment to our home in Atlanta, GA, just to make sure it wouldn't be damaged by the ridiculous heat wave we are having. Such amazing service, and delicious wine as well! We look forward to our next in-person visit. Thank you Diana!!

The wines are the best by far we had in NC or VA. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and passionate about what they serve.

We would have stayed all day had they let us bring in our food to sit outside and enjoy.

This is our favorite winery in NC. Yes, the wines are super complex and delicious, but Chuck and Diana are such great people who always take the time to come speak with you. Join their wine club. You will not be disappointed at all.

Absolutely beautiful winery! Being from California we are picky about our wine. Each and every wine we tasted was delicious. The staff and setting made our visit memorable. Joining their wine club was a no brainer. Can’t wait to go back!

This vineyard is in a lovely rural setting. It has a super nice tasting room. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, working to ensure that each visitor has a positive experience. The variety of wines is delicious and there is sure to be something for everyone!

Wonderful wine! Very distinctive and well crafted French style wines, eager to please the dry and semi-dry wine fans! Recommend a reservation. Please go if you are in the neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!

We love Jones von Drehle Vineyards! It's pet friendly and when we recently visited and selected a table on the patio i went inside to order. The first person I met was Diana Jones, one of the owners and she was carrying a bowl of water for our puppy Roxie. I was inpressed!

This was our 2nd time visiting Jones von Drehle. My wife and I agree this is one of our favorite NC wineries. Driving through their vineyards on the way to the tasting room lets you know these folks are serious about their wines. I have yet to be disappointed with any of their wines. Their ability to bring out the different characteristics of each grape type without masking it in oak or malic acid is impressive. Their tasting room staff are knowledgeable and helpful in understanding the various nuances of their offerings. Both times we've been here one of the owners (Diana, I believe) guided us through our tastings. What a delight to talk wines with them!

My husband and I were in North Carolina on a business trip and took a detour for some wine tasting for our Anniversary. The wines were delicious French style wines that we were happy to add to our wine collection and joined the club while we were at it! We have now introduced some of our faves to our friends back in California, and they were shocked they weren't from Napa. We look forward to returning again this fall for some music on the new stage. I highly recommend a visit!

For a new winery in NC, this one is going places! They will continue to develop outstanding wines and have the investment and commitment to stand the test of time. Our favorite this trip was the Cabernet Sauvignon, but the Merlot was a close second. This place is beautiful and the staff is so friendly! Don't miss it!

My experience at Jones von Drehle Vineyards was amazing. The wines are delicious and scenery of this location is just gorgeous. They have a spectacular tasting room, and the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and met my every need.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at JVD vineyards on Sunday! The wines were delicious and we each bought several bottles! What an awesome surprise to taste something new and refreshing! The scenic mountain vineyard is worth the drive!
