Midnight Magdalena Vineyards

Very nice cozy place. It is kid friendly and at the moment allows outside food. They have a very nice deck and sheltered patio with great views of the vineyard! Inside they have lots of nice cozy seating and cool chandeliers! Their wines are all dry but are all great!

Lovely view, lovely wines, lovely people. This was a wonderful stop in our winery tour experience.

I'm so glad we chose Midnight Magdalena on our winery/vineyard tour. It offered unique wines...some we were familiar with, but with a little twist explained to us by the owner. He was so entertaining and funny and passionate about his wine that we were captivated by him. We enjoyed his wine so much and what a charming place! The view off the front porch is beautiful also.

Excellent stop on our recent winery excursions. Beautiful facility. Jim, one of the owners did our wine tasting and he provided us with a thorough background on how they got started in the business from their motivation to moving from Michigan to start the winery and what makes their wine different from others in the region. Each of the wines we tasted were very good, even the whites which I normally don't like. We even had a glass of our favorites afterwards outside soaking in the sunshine and the Foothills. Likely recommend.

Owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Great tasting and absolutely Beautiful views. Pet Friendly and nice spot for a picnic. If you like Dry Wines this is a Must stop!

Happened upon this winery just last weekend and discovered a wonderful, passionate proprietor, Jim, who is knowledgeable about grapes, wine, and the wine-tasting experience. He was an excellent host for our group. Midnight's effort to cut its own path among the area wineries and NC wines in general is appealing. We enjoyed each wine we sampled and purchased a case to remember the experience back at home. We look forward to future visits to enjoy a picnic and a nice bottle of wine!

The view is spectacular, the hosts are extremely nice and give great descriptions of the wine, and the wine is thoroughly delightful. I highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere nearby and enjoy non-muscadine wine!

We arrived 30 minutes before they closed, but never felt rushed, as we and another couple finished 30 minutes after closing. Unlike most other wineries we visited, they have wine tastings instead of flights. Very enjoyable!

Loved the wine here! Their Riesling was a nice surprise for this Chardonnay drinker! :) I typically never consider Riesling because I'm not in to sweet wines -- their Riesling is dry with notes of green apple (my favorite) I had to have a bottle to take home. This vineyard has a beautiful porch views for your fur baby to join you. The owner is very helpful and nice to talk to about the wines they have. Beautiful place, lovely wines, we will definitely be back!

My husband & I came to Elkin for our honeymoon to visit some wineries in the area. Midnight Magdalena was our first stop and was actually our favorite of the whole trip! We enjoyed every wine they had. The owner was super sweet & talked to us about him & his wife’s story of opening the winery, gave details on all of the wines/grapes, and talked about other places in the area! Definitely recommend stopping by! We’ll absolutely be back!

We just visited this lovely winery and it was a very nice experience. I wasn’t drinking but my husband was. The lady who did his wine tasting was very knowledgeable and courteous. Even though I wasn’t drinking I found the information about how they make their wine interesting.
The house the tasting room is in is very pretty. They are kid and pet friendly and have lots of outdoor seating.

Lovely place on a ridge with a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. It is just minutes from Elkin/Jonesboro. The owner is very nice and told us some great stories about the Corot Noir grapes 🍇 and how they got here.
We visited it during the Winter Reds event.

Secluded delightful winery was the first stop our wine tour weekend. Our tasting was hosted by Jim, who provided us with the rich history of the vineyard and described each and every wine with heart felt passion. Great place to relax and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. Looking forward to returning in the summer.

Host was excellent and provided a lot of information about the wines we tasted. The tasting room is nicely decorated and warm and friendly. The wines were good and the view was very nice. The tasting room is very convenient to I-77 so this is a good place to stop for a nice tasting experience

The husband and wife owners are awesome. You can feel the passion they have for their wines as they explain each one during the tasting. Their wine tasting was very reasonable at $7.00 and their bottles of wine were also reasonable. I really appreciated that they made wines that were different than most other wineries in the area. They have a newly built tasting room with nice views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Another winery I suggest you visit.

Excellent place to lay back, let your hair down, rest, relax, and enjoy the company you are with or just absorb the view in silence. The wines are catered to the dry taste, including the whites. Some of the best wines, especially the whites considering I am not a white wine person. You can't go wrong stopping here for a visit or to spend a peaceful day without distraction.

Absolutely amazing experience. Our group had a wine tasting with Jim who was so personable which made this experience so great! The wines were perfectly splendid. I highly recommend visiting this winery if you’re seeking great wine with hospitality. Surrounding wineries may have views but the hospitality and quality of wine doesn’t compare to that of Midnight Magdalenas.

All the wines were good. Some of them unique and using grapes we hang tried before. The owner was very informed and gave a history of each of the wines we tried. Great experience

We stopped in July on our way back from Virginia. We absolutely loved all their wines. They have dry wines and some varieties that other NC vineyards do not have. We enjoyed the very knowledgeable presentation by the owner. We have been visiting NC vineyards for years and this is the first time we have joined a wine club!

This is one of the lesser known gems of the Yadkin Valley. The owner is so personable and he makes you feel right at home in the tasting room. He is also very knowledgeable and happy to share his knowledge with patrons. I highly recommend a visit.
