Tavern Cafe

I've been passing by there over a year and wanted to try it out but they always closed. So today I'm off of work and decided to stop. Glad I did. It's exactly the kind of place I've been looking for. I got hamburger plate with onion rings, chicken strips and cheese sticks. It was good. They use ground beef and not the frozen pattys. It has the home cook food also. Definitely will be coming there more often. I'm not from Hickory Tavern but the Cafe has that small town everyone knows everyone feel. Like you coming to your friends house to eat. Co

We all three had fried chicken and here is the list of sides: potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, fried okra, lemon cake, chocolate cake and carrot cake. You definitely can’t go wrong with them. Thank you 😊

Nice quiet place to eat with good service and good ppl.

Awesome place, good food, good price. Literally walking distance from our house. Sizeable portions, excellent variety, especially with the hot bar. Unassuming from the outside, it truly surprises and in a good way. Definitely worth the drive if you're further out, but we locals love to just walk there.

Highly recommend the Onion Rings, the batter is so tasty, can't get enough, and I also like the Patty Melt, I get it often.

Country cooking, Dinner Plates, Hamburgers & Hotdog Plates. Friendly People, Community Cafe. The food is really good. They really seem to go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy with their service.

Good food and good people. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I had the cheese burger, she had the fish. Both were delicious. We hope to make it back for Fish Fridays.

Best burgers in the upstate and an awesome staff!! These aren't people who are just good at their job and ACT friendly (like Chic-fil-a), these are genuinely sweet and kind country folk that also know how to make awesome food and provide quality service.

I like this place. It's a simple Hometown Diner. The prices are extremely reasonable. Everybody there was friendly. You can order from the menu or eat at the buffet. PS don't order the chili.

Excellent service and small town feels. Great short order food and the "good" cups of coffee. They do a meat and three Sundays at lunch that's just as good.

Legit little cafe. Was super busy but server was polite and friendly. Will return for Club Sandwhich and The-Hot-Dog-Bun-With-Cheese-And-Bacon-And-Chicken-Finger-Sandwhich-Thingymajig.

I love this little restaurant! The food is so good and on Saturday nights they make one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.

Excellent cheese burger cooked in front of you. Friendly serivce , GREAT VALUE for the money. Great salads also. The breakfast menu is excellent and GREAT VALUE you will not go away hungry!!

Love the food. Quaint and cozy little cafe. And the staff is always friendly. Especially enjoyable if you like country music. As it is always playing.
