Grease Rack

Our first time going there, even though we've lived here our entire lives. Jamie has done amazingly with the business. Our food was delicious. Our server Abby was so wonderful and couldn't ask for better. She knew the menu and helped us with any questions we had.
We'll definitely be back

My husband and I went on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. Hostess was very nice. We both ordered steaks, with baked potatoes and French onion soup. This is a lot of food. Both our Steaks were done perfectly. Juicy , tender and flavorful. The waitress kept our drinks full. Very friendly staff. We loved everything about this place. This is not a cheap subpar establishment. This is a place to get a large perfectly cooked meal.

Had a delightful evening at The Grease Rack in June!

The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, sitting outside and listening to Sammy Shults. We started with the French Onion soup, which was delightful. My younger daughter loved the vegetable soup. The salad was beautifully arranged and just the right amount. The steaks were perfectly cooked for all of us, from medium rare to well done. Then, at the end, came Jamie's famous crème brûlée.

I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but I was too busy enjoying it! The creek that runs alongside the restaurant was a beautiful sight, and the lightning bugs that were out when we left were a magical touch.

I highly recommend The Grease Rack for a delicious and memorable dining experience!

I ordered the Baby Steaks and it was the most tender steak I have ever had. It comes with soup which I had the French Onion and it was phenomenal. I passed on the salad only because I knew I couldn’t eat it all. The baked potato was cooked to perfection. I will most certainly be back. The staff was beyond friendly!!!

We went with a large party on a Saturday night for a birthday party. We were seated quickly, the service was excellent, the drinks were never empty, and the food was really good. I had the Earl special. It came with soup and salad. The French onion soup had excellent flavor, and the New York strip they served me was cooked to order at medium perfectly. No steak sauce needed.

Good service. Jordan was an excellent waitress. Order came out faster than expected. I ordered steak sandwich and fries. Everything was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly. Fries weren't hot at all. Also a little stingy with the fries. Overall a good first time experience. Can't wait to come back.

Went back and got the T-bone steak. Awesome.

We eat here a couple times a month and everything is always good. I personally think the burgers are the best in Newport.
Reading some of the reviews it’s hard to believe they are legitimate.

Oh my!! Several people suggested we eat here and they did NOT disappoint! The food was delicious plus the staff was amazing. We split the porterhouse steak which came with a salad, fries and soup. We also got potato skins for our appetizer. YUMMMM

We have tried to come here more often. It is not fancy, but always delicious! They make such a delicious burger and the steak is out of this world 🥰

Thursday night Barry Gregory and I had an impromptu date night dinner out. We decided on the Grease Rack. Our first trip since the new owners took over. It will NOT be our last! The food was fresh and delicious! Service was attentive and we loved the brighter atmosphere. The pioneer chicken was huge and absolutely amazing. Barry had the fried fish sandwich and fries and even that simple meal was excellent and fresh. Can't wait to head back with some of our crew in tow!

Always go there for the steak dinner. You want be disappointed. Great food.

The Grease Rack is better than ever. I have been going there for years, but recent changes under the new owner have raised the bar. The new decor is very welcome and the refinement of the steak sauces has been superb. The service has always been first rate. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s the best steakhouse in the area!

Very Good cheeseburgers and flounder. Enjoyed the fried pickles but not as many as we had a couple of weeks ago. Disappointed outside wasn’t open on Thursday.

Was there last night. Had the best steak I've ever had there. Everything was delicious. The service was great! Kerrigan waited on us. She was a great waitress. We were seated quickly, food was awesome, and service was too. If you haven't been in a while, you should definitely try it out.
