Willie's Grill & Icehouse

I didn't remember this place when I used to go to college here 20 years ago, it may have been here, it may have also not been, but I wanted to give it a try. It is a very casual restaurant with large windows, a patio outside and plenty of seating on the inside. It's similar to counter serve however after you order at the counter when you sit down a waiter comes and serves you as well. You don't pay for your meal until you're finished with your meal and you give your card to the waiter. During the meal the waiter may stop by and ask if you need refills on your drink, additional beverages or desserts. My waiter was very friendly, Francis or Franco I believe. I ordered the Cheesesteak with smoked gouda, the hoagie roll was nice and soft and very tasty, there was plenty of cheese and the steak was good quality. The french fries were the best part of it, very nicely seasoned I had to tell myself to stop as is very easy to keep munching on them. Overall I enjoyed my experience here, I wouldn't mind trying their burgers and other items as well if I lived in the area.

Willies grilled chicken sandwich is my all time go to meal! So delicious! (oh and the margaritas of course) Honestly, I have never had a bad experience here. Definitely ask for Jaret K. to be your server! Awesome service, knows his stuff and is super funny! We love having him wait on us every time. Highly recommend!

The cocktails, pulled pork, burgers, desserts, and service were all a hit! I meant to take a picture of the bread pudding and peach cobbler, but everyone dug in before I could get a chance. Upon walking in, I thought it was going to be a typical counter service fare as ordered up front, but the servers seemed more attentive than most casual dining chains. This was our second visit in less than one week while dropping off our Aggie. We will definitely come back here to eat during future A&M visits!

Great food, atmosphere, and service. I recommend the bacon burger and I also recommend Taylor as your server. Taylor is one of the best servers we have had she was super friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back.

This place was amazing! We had Nathan as our server and he got us right! My buddies and I just got done with a brutal half-marathon and boy were we ready to eat!!! Our boy Nathan hooked us up big time, if you come here make sure to ask for him. He’s the GOAT.

Went in not knowing what to expect of this establishment, but after sitting down I was nervous about the ordering system. My doubts were extinguished when my server, Taylor, greeted our table with outstanding customer service. Explained that she will get our food out shortly and the check will be split at the end. She continued to check on us, refill drinks, and make sure our orders were not only right, but excellent. 10/10 experience that has surpassed any customer service I’ve ever received. My future kids will hear about this.

As always, Willies is a tasty and affordable outing for a family. Server Taylor and the rest of her team made the meal comfortable and seamless especially since we have a little one. Great outdoor patio and ventilation if that’s something being looked for.

The food was really good a the service was amazing! Freddy our waiter did such a great job very professional but also very friendly he made sure everything was perfect for us an got everything we needed! Highly recommend going

Amazing experience! Recommend the food and service to anyone. Will be coming back very soon! Jaret was an amazing server he was very welcoming to my family and I and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. He worked fast and effectively and was part of the reasons why Willie’s will be a go to spot for my family and friends now. Way to go Jaret!

If you want Americana cuisine from a chain, Willie's was honestly really good. I'd consider this a good place to grab some beers and have appetizers after a hard work day. Fried mushrooms and fried jalapeños are soul food to me so I'm glad I finally checked it out!

Cannot rave about my experience here enough!! Absolutely phenomenal And the best part about it was our server Jaret Kelly! He was so sweet and understanding and got us taken care of in all our needs. Loved it!

I love this place, the atmosphere is fantastic, the food is good, and the employees are amazing. Whenever I go I always get Taylor, and I'm never disappointed. She's a wonderful server and makes me feel better than I felt before going in. I love willies, I will always return.

We absolutely love coming to Willie’s. This is our go to date night spot. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are very personable. Nathan is one of our favorites. Sometimes he has a British accent, sometimes he doesn’t. It keeps our visits joyful!! Highly recommend!

I came in this afternoon for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. Our server Jaret was OUTSTANDING. Guided us through the menu and provided great service. Will definitely come back here for the service and food!

Tried Willie’s for the first time. First off, our server, Jes, was amazing! Anything we needed, she was on it. Awesome customer service. I normally get a burger when we eat out but I tried the Caesar salad with grilled tender bites and it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend

I had Maddie as a server, and she was spectacular. Always checked on us, made sure everything was refilled when needed. Food was excellent, will definitely be coming back!

Visited Willie's for lunch the other day and was amazed by the friendliness by the staff, especially Jaret. He was more-than-welcoming with our many guests, despite dealing with a large party and was able to tend and cater to our needs effectively. I will definitely be back soon and I recommend Willie's to anyone, and ask for Jaret!

Had dinner at this location last night and our waitress Amy B was phenomenal! The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious! Highly recommend this location to anyone!!
