This is a hidden gem in college station. The food is authentic and tasty. The price is unbeatable and the portion size is really generous. The best asset of this local restaurant is the waitress, she truly cares about the customers and she reminds me of my Chinese aunties. When the store opens for dining in, you should definitely give it a try!

Everything about this place is amazing! My husband is Chinese so we have eaten everywhere in Cstat/Bryan looking for good places to eat, and this definitely rated up in the top! The food was authentic, fresh, and came out very quickly, and the server was just the sweetest lady ever. It was a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it!

They have a lot of 1 star reviews, but the majority of them are from + or more years ago. Since then, they have changed management and the menu, so don't be discouraged by poor old reviews.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost fifteen years and I’ve loved it every time! Their food is one of the best priced in town with huge heaping helpings that taste absolutely delicious. No matter if we dine in, pick up our take out or delivery it’s always fresh and taste amazing...every...single...time!!! But even after all that my favorite part is the employees. They are the friendliest and most cheerful staff I’ve seen in a very very long time. I always leave the restaurant with a huge smile on my face.

My wife and I love this place. The BEST Chinese we've ever had. I don't know what the people are talking about who post bad reviews. It seems everyone in this town is a critic, I've read mostly bad reviews when researching places. Eat Joy Luck and you won't regret it. Fast delivery, large portions. I would recommend to anyone who wants Chinese, eat here.

Don't understand the bad rating. Maybe people get frustrated with the language barrier? The food is always made fresh to order and of good quality. I usually get the $5.49 Hooked App lunch special about once a week, it's a great value for entre, rice, and soup! My favorites are the Broccoli Chicken and Sesame Chicken.

Joy luck has changed a new owner and a new chef.

They make authentic Chinese food if you request the Chinese menu items. The owner’s wife makes Chinese bakery from her hometown occasionally. You are in luck if you come in on those days.

My friends and I are very satisfied with our food experience, and will definitely go back.

Dine-in Review Only

My friend and I went to eat some Chinese food during the off-season in CSTAT(Winter Break, a few days before Christmas). We walked in to find an empty restaurant and was greeted within 5 seconds by a lady who did not speak much English. She asked us if we were dining in or carrying out and she told us we could sit anywhere. She was quick and nice to us. I ordered the lunch portion of General Tso's Chicken - a dish I order at every Chinese restaurant for the first time.

The dish came with a choice or soup or egg roll. I chose the egg roll and my friend chose the soup. The egg roll option only gives you one egg roll, which I'm okay with for the price of the lunch portion(less than $7). You also pick between fried rice and steamed rice - I picked fried rice.

The chicken was freshly fried(or re-fried for the second fry) since the coat underneath the sauce was crunchy. The fried rice was not too dry like some other places in town, the egg roll was decent.

Overall, I think this place gets bad rep for the deliveries, but my dine-in experience was great. I would highly suggest eating here if you live nearby or if you're studying next door at Eugene's and you're getting hungry while studying for that final.

I would suggest this place over Chef Cao's due to the price and friendliness of the staff I had interaction with. For the best taste, my suggestion still goes to BCS Market's dine-in restaurant.

Ordered online. The order was made quickly, picking it up was easy and the employee that helped us was really nice! Order the hibachi fried rice! It’s maybe the best I’ve had!!! Not to mention the portions are large and inexpensive.

I didn't notice this place was reviewed at less than 4 stars. I don't eat here often but I live right next door and I'll occasionally walk over before they close for dinner. Just about every time I've eaten here it's been good and the staff has been nice and polite. My only complaint is that they don't have Moo Shu pork....but not many places do anymore. >.>'

Super nice couple making authentic Chinese food. They got this place in late 2018 and really changed it into a home style restaurant. Love the nice owners and their food. Go try it and spread the word!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Food it's DELISH>>>> I always get the black pepper chicken and there Szechuan Spicy Chicken and top it off with there crab sensation egg dish OMG AMAZING !!!!! Love the remodel as well Cool atmosphere!!!!

Extremely affordable, the employees are hard working and despite being busy are very fast and accommodating! I come here all the time, they have fantastic sushi and Chinese food (especially the fried rice mmmm)

I went to joy luck today because I heard new partner add in and he is famous chef . I am not disappointed. Food is good . Service is good. I will come back again.
