Studewood Grill

Houston overflows with dining options. It’s difficult to keep up and there is always something new to try so when I discover an exceptional place for dining, I always make sure to make a note of it, for future dining opportunities. And one restaurant that was quickly added to my list of places to return is Studewood Grill.

Studewood Grill specializes in steaks, burgers, seafood, and other assorted meats, plus it serves appetizers, desserts, and more. They have an extensive whiskey, bourbon, and scotch menu and a significant selection of wine, as well as a respectable list of beer. If you love whiskey, I recommend asking for a flight. It’s the best way to sample and compare several selections before ordering a drink.

The food served at Studewood Grill is fantastic and beautifully presented. Whether you order a steak, burger, or anything else you will be impressed by the special care that goes into each item on your plate. The executive chefs at Studewood Grill take their craft seriously and it shows in everything they serve. Portion sizes at Studewood Grill are quite generous, too, so don’t be surprised if you end up asking for a to- go box. And you will want to, because you won’t want to let any of this delicious food go to waste.

Studewood Grill is slightly more upscale than the average Houston eatery, but not excessively so. It’s a warm, inviting place perfect for an intimate date or an evening dinner with the family. The inside is elegant, but not too elegant. They have an outdoor patio, too, if you prefer to enjoy your food and beverage in the fresh air.

It’s always nice to try something new and with thousands of restaurants in Houston, new options are not difficult to find. But high-quality restaurants present a greater challenge and that is why I am happy I discovered Studewood Grill. From the service to the food to the beverages and atmosphere, it has all the earmarks of a place of excellent dining and it’s a place I recommend to all.

This place is amazing the steaks are probably the best I've ever had. The service was top-notch and overall everything was on point. I will definitely be coming back and bringing more people.

My experience at Studewood Grill was absolutely amazing! If you’re trying any margaritas the black barrel margarita was a fantastic. The staff was incredible and so kind! Plus the interior was definitely my style!

I like going when I have the entire place to myself. Everything was AWESOME. Food, service, ambiance, is amazing.

I do not post reviews often, but this place really impressed me. It was an impromptu dinner experience that was quite enjoyable! I sat at the bar which had plethora of bourbons and whiskeys very comfortably priced. I started with a wedge salad that was absolutely glorious, followed by one of the most flavorful Ribeyes I have ever had. This ribeye was very generous in size, well marbled and cooked perfectly. The couple a few spots down from me were raving about the Oysters and also had a burger that looked incredible. I definitely stumbled upon a hidden gem in the heights I will now frequent!

This place is a keeper! For the Heights neighbors, let's support them! The food was phenomenal and though they are short of staff like many restaurants this days, you would not know it. The restaurant's team was all working together to provide a great dining experience. Great side dishes if you just want a vegetarian option.

What a Great experience I had during Houston Restaurants Week. Hands-down the Best Crab Cakes in town. and that Key Lime Pie is to Die for. VIP Experience from the Manager. He had no clue I was Top Local Guide with VIEWS over 65 Million. Thanks Again. SALUTE TO THE Chefs!! They did that. Be back Soon.

I went here on recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed. The prime rib was absolutely amazing! The Feast is highly recommended; you won't be disappointed. The wait staff is amazing, too! I very much appreciate people who ask questions and actually listen to the answers, and these guys really make you feel welcomed. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be back!

Great service!! They really took care of our big table for a birthday dinner. Amazing steaks of course and even accommodated all the shots request after dinner. Highly recommend for great vibes for a special dinner

I'm a steak eater. THIS was one of the best steaks I've had in years. The service was excellent. The portions of food were on point. I'll DEFINITELY hit this spot the next time I'm in town.

Get “the feast” special. You won’t regret it! Tonight’s feast was cuts of ribeye and strip, asparagus, broccolini, maple bacon brussels, and loaded baked potato. Casual vibe, great food. Big fan!

Excellent steakhouse in the Heights. Service was outstanding. Love the decor. Prices are high but reasonable for the quality of the food.
