Amazing teachers, staff, and leadership! Lessons and curriculum prepared our daughter so well for kindergarten at a top notch elementary school. I am confident they’ll prepare my son to be just as successful. The atmosphere is caring, fun, and enthusiastic. The enrichment classes are such a godsend. I absolutely adore Mays and it is a great community to be a part of!

We LOVE the Mays school! It has been 3 years and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to send our child here. I am always impressed at how much she is learning and she absolutely loves being there. Everyone at the school is so friendly and passionate about working with children. It truly feels like a second family. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

We love Mays school! My 2year old son really enjoy going and has learned a lot from school everyday. And the school offers enrichment class including Spanish, yoga, dancing and singing class which makes it a fun place for kids. The families going to Mays are really nice too.

My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend The Mays School for your family. We had 3 kids attend The Mays School over a span of 6 years and our youngest just graduated a few weeks ago and she is about to start Kindergarten. We honestly feel that all 3 kids that attended were very much prepared for elementary school. Jessi, the Director, runs a tight ship and I mean that in a positive way. The school is extremely organized, and it was always directed in a manner that had the kids’ best interests at heart. This was especially true during the COVID-19 pandemic. I didn’t envy her position as Director because she had to make extremely tough decisions during a time that no one was prepared to handle. In my family’s view, Jessi and her staff rose to the extreme challenge and passed with flying colors. If you enroll your child at The Mays School, he or she will be in terrific hands and you won’t regret it.

I'm so happy with my kids experience at The Mays School. My oldest is in Kinder now and the foundation that she got at The Mays School has propelled her to success in Kinder. Many of the topics she is learning in kinder are already familiar to her because they were covered in PK at The Mays School.

The Mays School is a gem to have in our community. This unique program focuses on the child and allows growth and experimentation through natural and authentic curiosity. Studies show that play and inquiry-based learning benefit children as they progress through the younger, impactful years. The Mays School is dedicated to caring for your child and ensuring they experience learning through research-based science and research.

My daughter really enjoys every day at the school. The teachers are caring and the program is so fun, not to mention daily enrichment classes, organic meals and snacks, tons of festivals and activities. I've recommended the school to all my friends who's looking for a daycare in Bellaire area.

I cannot express how great of a school environment Mays has been for our family. We moved to Houston recently and had a tough time finding a safe and quality school for our infant, but then several of our neighbors suggested we check out Mays (formally Country Clubhouse). I typically would say an infant is in a daycare center environment but Mays is very much a school environment considering their impressive curriculum. The teachers and director, Jessi, communicate extremely well through the Tadpole app-- each day I have a video/photos of my son's day at the school. My husband and I were unfamiliar with the Reggio method but we have found it to be amazing! Thank you to Jessi, the staff, and teachers at Mays School!

My son has been to the Mays (previously named My Country Clubhouse) since 18 months old. Not only the teachers in his classroom, all the teachers around were putting in efforts to help him transition well from home to school, including director Jessie herself. From that moment, I can tell that I make the right choice for my son to go to the Mays. All the teachers know my son's name and they know all kids' name, they much really love every single child in the school. Jessie and Julie are looking to improve all the time, both academically and environmentally. I have recommended the Mays to several friends and all feedback are extremely positive. I hope this could help googlers to find the right place for their own children.

We have been a part of my country clubhouse for nearly three years and could not be happier with the excellent care. The teachers and staff are wonderful and truly care about the growth and development of each child. The added enrichment programs this year keep my son excited for something new each day. He loves stretch and grow, music and Spanish. He often is not ready to come home! We are so thankful to be a part of this incredible school.

After extensive research into daycares and child development centers around Houston, my family could not be happier to have our child at MAYS. The directors are totally devoted, thoughtful, and responsive, always looking to improve the school for staff, children, and parents alike. The teachers legitimately love and nurture the children, and I love the Reggio Emilia approach to learning through play and exploration. Ultimately, my child is happy when he arrives at school and when he comes home, is learning, growing and enjoying himself in a safe in dynamic environment. I cannot recommend MAYS enough.

Our family followed Linda Weise, the Director, from another preschool when she left and started My Country Clubhouse. When we arrived so many teachers that my son had grown up with knowing where there, familiar friends and faces as well. We eased into the transition very nicely.

We use MCC for after-school pick-up and care during the school year, and for summer camps as well. MCC offers many arts programs such as music lessons and dance, they really do care about a well rounded child! They assist with homework and always friendly, conscious about safety and keep us informed. I recommend them to every one I know.

My Country Clubhouse has been a true blessing for my family. After researching many preschools, we were lucky to find a spot at MCC when my daughter was only 8 months old. She is now 2, and we couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. Our daughter thrives at MCC. We take no credit for all she is learning. MCC's incredible director Jessi, passionate teachers, and specialized curriculum reaches every child and allows the students to thrive and grow, no matter what age or level. Their enrichment classes are a real treat, as the kids are exposed to a variety of classes, from Spanish, Yoga, Art, and Music classes. On another note, their daily menu, which includes breakfast, lunch, and three possible snack times is made up exclusively of organic all natural foods. Their in house cook is wonderful! I love MCC so much and can see why my daughter is overjoyed to go each day!

Our two little girls have been at My Country Clubhouse since they were infants and they both absolutely love it. The teachers there are amazing! They care for each student as if they were their own. Our 3 year old is now in their pre-school class and she is learning so much. We are always amazed by the things she tells us that she has learned.

As new parents, we had a difficult time finding a great day care for our kids. Luckily we found My Country Clubhouse through a referral from the Bellaire Young Mothers group. It is such a comforting feeling to be able to drop off our precious children to a place where we know and trust they will be in great hands. We highly recommend My Country Clubhouse to any parents looking for a day care for their children.

Our twin daughters attended The Mays School (formerly My Country Clubhouse) from 2015 - 2108. They learned so much through well planned (and FUN!!) activities and play that they get to apply what they learned in different ways. Lots of enrichment activities (Yoga, music, art are built into the curriculum - with optional soccer, ballet, and swim classes). The quality of care (from organic and health food, security, playground improvement) is amazing. Talented, passionate, and caring teachers! Management is highly responsive, opens to suggestions, and always looking for ways to improve the school and learning experience. In our opinion, this is one of the best pre-schools in this area.

Like many other families, I followed Linda Weise from another school to here. My son was actually her first student. I was so grateful for her assistance in bringing my son in knowing how unhappy I was at the previous school. She’s a great director and runs the school with her daughter, Jessi who works so hard in every aspect of the school. Both are very very educated in child development. They definitely know children! They've helped me countless of times on how to handle my son’s terrible two, three, and now four. I feel very comfortable going to them with any concerns I may have...about anything. I also have a one year old son at the school. I absolutely adore the infant teachers! I often call on them to babysit. I love all the teachers. They all genuinely care about the children and i like that they make me feel like my child is their favorite...until I realized they did that with all the children :-) Every classroom has it’s own refrigerator and it’s own bathroom. They did a fantastic job potty training my oldest. The other thing I like is the advanced curriculum. This school is not just any daycare...it’s a PRESCHOOL. Your child will be fully and properly prepared when they begin elementary school. The school is young and still working to become more established. Tuition prices are average for the Bellaire area. The surrounding schools that have lower tuition also has lower care of education and just doesn’t compare to My Country Clubhouse (from my own experience). For the quality of care and education given, MCC is definitely worth it. There are other more established schools and I would say MCC is very comparable, if not better in many areas. MCC has an awesome art program. They also offer dance and stretch and grow classes and take the preschoolers on field trips throughout the year. The summer camp is filled with fun activities including splash days, field trips, different kinds of art classes. The school hosts many events: book fairs, art exhibits, family meet and greet dinners, fall carnival, etc. The school is small but very active and lots of fun, not only for the kids but also for the parents. Oh, they also offer once a month Friday Date Night or Saturday Fun Day where the school is open outside of normal business hours to give parents a break. I LOVE that. There are many pros and the few cons are minor. The cons...the school is young but they have become well established in such a short time. The parking lot is tight but you will always find a spot to park because parents are in and out in minutes. The speed bumps suck too...but you learn to drive slow, rightfully so with children nearby! The location may be a concern for some parents but I quickly got over that. There is a security guard on watch 24/7 in one of the nearby businesses. Also, since the school is right at the Bellaire/Houston border, Bellaire cops often turn into this parking lot going back and forth when patrolling the city. I’ve seen them myself and every time it has been a different time of the day. So that was very comforting to me. I wish they had a bigger kitchen. However, the kitchen is fully functional perfectly capable of serving two hot meals, breakfast and lunch plus two snacks. The play ground is a bit small, but they made the best of it with endless number of balls, and tricycles, and tiny beautiful houses. And a garden in the back where the kids can see the growth of whatever plant they’re growing that season. Overall, I’m very happy that my kids are under their care.

I heard about MCC from other mothers in the Bellaire area and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! My kids are very happy here and they have just blossomed so much since they started about 4 months ago. The teachers and staff are sweet and caring, which makes it easy to drop the kids off knowing that they are being well taken care of and loved.

The Perks:
1. The curriculum is amazing! I feel my kids are being challenged and given the opportunity to develop intellectually, emotionally and physically.
2. The communication - I get emails and photos from the teachers about class activities. The daily log is emailed at the end of the day and lists what my kids learned, what they ate and notes about classroom activities happening that week. I love that they use these tools to keep parents involved in what is happening in the classroom.
3. They have daily enrichment classes, such as yoga, Spanish and dance which are already included in the tuition.
4. The menu is all organic and well balanced. I love that my kids are enjoying nutritional meals that are thoughtfully prepared.
5. The value for the money! I don't know of another school that offers everything that MCC does for the same price. I honestly feel that it's a great school and the tuition is very reasonable.

We have three children who attend My Country Clubhouse. All three of our kids have been with Jessi Weise, the Director of MCC, since they were each three months old. Several of the teachers helped develop all three of my children. It's great to see familiar faces. My oldest is 9 years old now and we appreciated every moment.

We have an amazing relationship and the best part is how MCC promotes parent involvement. Progress is made by simply allowing a parent to share their concerns and for a school willing to listen...really means they care.

Allowing someone else to care for your first child at three months old can be very difficult for parents. We too found ourselves in a very emotional state, but our comfort level raised as each day went by. And Over the years as we had our other two children, we knew they too would safely be in great hands !!!

MCC is part of our family. There's no other option. We couldn't have done this without their support and care of our children.

I had visited a few different child care facilities in the Bellaire area before finding My Country Clubhouse. The moment I walked into the building I knew it was different. It was very clean and had lots of space. There was also an obvious focus on child learning and development which seemed absent from the other places I had seen. I was so impressed with the owners and the teaching staff that I enrolled both of my children at the end of the tour. They have been at My Country Clubhouse for two years now and I could not be more pleased. They are learning so much, both academically and socially. They keep a low teacher to student ratio to ensure that every child has the opportunity to maximize their potential for learning. I highly recommend My Country Clubhouse to anyone looking for pre-schools in the Bellaire area.

My Country Clubhouse (“MCC”) is owned and operated by Linda Weise, and her daughter, Jessi Weise. Linda opened MCC in October 2012, and we followed her to MCC from another early childcare center in Bellaire, where she had previously served as the Director for five years. Linda, Jessi, and the teachers and staff at MCC are amazing. I have four children, ranging in ages from 2-8, and the quality of care and education they provide for our children is unmatched in the area. The teachers genuinely care about the children and their love for the children shows. My children are happy and thriving at MCC, which is what I believe every parent hopes for their child. MCC offers a structured age-appropriate curriculum for each classroom, and each child receives individual assistance and attention. Children learn essential language, reading, and writing skills, as well as learn about art and music. Infants through preschoolers participate in weekly Stretch-N-Grow classes, which are fun motor development classes which the children love. Dance classes are also offered on property once per week. At sign out each day, an electronic copy of your child’s daily report is emailed directly to you and includes your child’s meals, snacks, naps, bathroom/diaper changes, classroom activities, and notes from your child’s teacher. Preschoolers attend field trips once per month, which my four-year-old son is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to be a “big kid,” and ride in one of the MCC vans. Preschool field trips this year have included the Houston Zoo, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Miller Outdoor Theater, Bellaire Fire Station, and Menil Art Museum, to name a few. I am not aware of any other programs in the area which offer monthly field trips for their preschoolers. Summer fun at MCC includes splash days once per week, where infants through school-age children enjoy sprinkler water play on the MCC playground. If you have school-age children, they will not want to miss MCC’s Summer Art Camp. The camp is packed full of activities each day, including art instruction, painting, music, theater, cooking, science, creative writing, and playground time. The summer campers swim at Evergreen Pool in Bellaire once per week, have two other weekly field trips, participate in Stretch-N-Grow classes, and enjoy splash days each week. Field trips this past Summer included Moody Gardens, Health Museum, Downtown Aquarium, Dog Show, Space Center Houston, Main St. Theater, The Mad Potter, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Zoo, and several more. MCC has many great events throughout the year as well, including Fall Carnival, bi-monthly family meet and greet dinners, Summer Pizza Party and Art Exhibit, book fairs, and monthly Friday Night Date Night or Fun Saturday Program. Linda has over 35 years experience in early childhood development, actively works with the children, and has served as a consultant to many other early childcare centers in the Houston and surrounding areas. She and her daughter, Jessi, understand children and truly love and care about each child at MCC. I could not have made a better decision for my family.
