On 1/31, arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment. But they were on it - I got out in 15 minutes (license renewal). Zero issues as I had all the documents that were needed. All 3 people I dealt with were polite and professional.

Simply the nicest most courteous staff I've ever had the pleasure of doing DPS business with. I've been to several DPS offices before and the Mount Pleasant DPS office was so professional and actually took extra time out to explain my situation to me. They were very respectful and showed that they really cared about the business I had to complete with the DPS office. Thanks staff and keep up the good work. It was a pleasure visiting the Mount Pleasant DPS office.

Mount Pleasant DPS was absolutely worth the 1hr and 30 minute drive. My appointment was originally scheduled for 8:40am. I walked inside/checked in at 8:10am to get a Texas DL. I was sitting in my car with my temporary license by 8:40am. The staff were helpful and polite. Overall 10/10!

Everything went smoothly. I checked-in inside my car in the parking lot. Then, I checked in at the tiny table just inside the door to the right. That area is a little cramped. Filled out a few additional forms on a clipboard in the seating area. Waited for 10 minutes, maybe less. When my number was called and displayed on the TV above the entrance. I went to the appropriate counter. Number 4 is closed to the door, number 1 is all the way at the end. I handed over my documents, signed a few things, paid, took a quick and easy eye test, and received my paper driver's license. It cost me $38 even, but that's counting donating a single dollar to each of the 5, I think, listed charities. They take cash, check, or card. The card has to be swiped, they don't take touchless payments like Google Pay, or Apple Pay. They take walk-ins until 4pm. I hope this helps.

Friendly and professional employees. We had a scheduled appointment and were waited on a few minutes early. Great experience and completely worth the hour drive to get an appointment in a reasonable time frame.

This is a terrific group of DMV employees. They accommodated me when my appointment didn’t show and helped me through the process with kindness and professionalism. Five stars for sure!

We drove out here because the driver license offices in the Dallas area were backed up for several months. We were able to get an appointment here a few weeks out. Once we were checked in, it literally took about ten minutes and we were out the door.

A well run office. The areas are clean and well maintained. All of the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
Susan helped us upon entrance. She made sure we had all our paperwork and that it was completed correctly. She treated us with kindness and respect. She was calm and made us feel at ease.
Denise processed all our forms / documentation and helped my son navigate the procedure to take his written test. She was patient and thorough.
Louise helped us in the final stages after my son passed his test. She made sure he understood all the upcoming requirements.
Everyone at this location acted with professionalism and courtesy. My family greatly appreciates these ladies who made our visit such a positive experience.

Was pleased with the service after using the Sulphur Springs DPS office. There was only one family in there when my son and I walked in so we thought, great, no wait. But it took a minute to get the form filled out and a couple other folks got in front of us and we had to wait like 20 or 30 minutes but it was nothing like the nightmare when we went to the DPS office in Sulphur Springs several months ago. Good experience today.

The most pleasant visit to a DMV in my 45 years of driving in the state of Texas. I made an appointment online per instructions, checked in 30 minutes prior to visit, was called to counter and completed forms and process for renewal in about 12 minutes. This could not have been a better experience. All of the staff present were courteous and friendly as well as proficient at their tasks.

My son had an appointment there today to do his paperwork, and pay for his driver's test. His appointment was at 12:20. They called me, and asked me if I could come in around one, because that's when they went to lunch. I said of course. I asked a few questions that I had been stressed over, and Margie answered all my questions that I had. We get there to his appointment, and the check in lady was super amazing, and super friendly. When we walk in to do the everything. Margie was there was a smiling, and greeting face. She helped him in every way she could. My son was sonly there for paperwork, and paying for everything. His driver's test wasn't till Thursday in Emory. She told us there was an appointment at 2:05,butbthey did a no show, or cancled it. My son could go ahead, and do his driver's test. Well, he got to do his test instead of missing another day of school on Thursday. Y'all, this place was super friendly, super nice, and super amazing.

this place is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I have NEVER IN MY 46 YEARS of life been to any dmv and it be fast or even a little remotely on time/on schedule. Mount Pleasant is so fast compared to every other dmv. All other DMV's need to come & take some notes and maybe even be retrained on how to be a bit more efficient in their daily routine. Thank you Mount Pleasant for being so pleasant for others. You are appreciated more than you know for ALL YOU ALL DO and how you all do it with a smile even when it's hard to.

Fantastic experience! Originally went to Sulphur Springs but the power was out so I carried on another 30 miles to Mount Pleasant. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by the agent at the counter. I was in and out in ten minutes.
