Originally from Hampton roads VA.... Bought truck from dealership come to find out they sold me a 2016 f 350 With a salvage title to it. I can't even register it in Virginia now. Had to get other local dealer involved in order to get rebuilt title process started. Owner ( John ) and i had many conversations over the phone asking questions about salvage title. Owner is in contact with me now. He is fixing the problem as we speak. Learning experience for sure!!

The price was good - too good. This place sells flood damaged cars. The cars are listed as salvage title and we searched the VIN and knew it was flood damaged so we knew what we were getting into. But I live out of state and called, and was assured the vehicle I came to see had not gotten water inside. This was just a complete and utter lie and the owner knew he was lying. Just be honest dude, you totally lose credibility on such an easily discoverable lie. And if you're gonna lie, don't be so lazy about covering it up. I get there and, first flag, it looks like a junk yard. I asked him what repairs he had done to get the title corrected and he said none and repeated the claim "because no water had gotten inside the vehicle" (not true). So I asked if I could take it to a mechanic to have it checked out he said "that never works out". Second red flag. Obviously he didn't want to waste his time having a real professional tell me this vehicle was trash. But flood damage is so easy to check. Look under the dash, look around and under the seats and you will see rust spots all over from a car that has had water inside it. This typically means the car was completely submersed and likely has water in the oil and transmission. This car had rust everywhere - on the steering column, on screws, under the seats, on the seat rails, basically anywhere metal is exposed. There was even a wad of branches high up behind the gas that they didn't get cleaned out. Also the oil was still milky so they didn't even bother to give it a good engine flush. I didn't bother checking the transmission fluid. I guess I should be thankful the guy is a horrible liar and lazy at covering it up. My advice - look at his bad reviews. They always have the same theme, drove it off the lot and it blew up. If you really really know what you are doing and know how to spot issues and the cost to fix, maybe it's worth the risk but not for me.

I hadn't had the chance to leave a review I went and looked at a few of their vehicles and decided to test drive one he started it and decided he needed to change the battery and then it took them 10 minutes to change the battery (I think they were resetting the error codes) I followed my gut feeling and decided not to purchase a car the battery is for starting the car and then it relies on the alternator to continue running and when i came to the reviews and seen all the 1 star reviews im so thankful i didnt give them the chance to rip me off if you are in the market for a reliable car avoid this place I've heard nothing but terrible things and bad experiences from this place they have a very very bad reputation for ripping people off

I recommend that no one buys a car here. I purchased a 2017 Nissan Versa which looked great on the outside but it needed a transmission. John Sheehan refused to void the sale and return my money.

Do NOT purchase a vehicle here. When I say I’m not one to write reviews, I mean it. I would give this place a 0 stars if I could. Before we went to purchase a vehicle, I read the not so good reviews but decided to go anyway. My boyfriend and I purchased a truck here and while we were test driving it, the guy with us kept saying how trustworthy the owner is. WRONG! They fixed it up just enough to make it look good. As soon as we drove it off the lot, we went to the gas station and we could not put gas in it. We called and told them the issue and they said they would fix it. After that, everything looked good until we went to fill the gas tank up and realized they DRILLED A HOLE in the gas tank to release the air pocket. They refused to give us our money back and also refused to negotiate the price. If we weren't so desperate for a vehicle we would have walked away. There were fuses missing from the truck and the oil was black sludge when we checked, after they told us everything was checked and changed. The oil filter was rusted on as if it hadn’t been changed in years. Please do NOT go here. Instead go to Mann’s auto & pawn shop, also located in Columbia. We have purchased 3 vehicles from them, all in perfect condition AND they make sure the vehicle is in tip top shape before purchase.

DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! Would give 0 stars if that was an option. John sold a 2014 F150 to our son and it literally blew up on the way home. Contacting a lawyer and the AG’s office to file a complaint on them as well as with the MV division in Frankfort.

The owner sold us a vehicle with a rebuilt title and said he got it in with a fleet of vehicles that had water damage, but this vehicle DID NOT have water damage according to John Sheenhan, the owner of J& S Auto Sales. We started having problems soon after purchase. We took it to a Transmission shop to check it. Well what do you know? The transmission had water damage! Don't trust this place for a dependable vehicle! He doesn't speak the truth

I got this Nissan Altima from him for 6,000 and I thought it was a deal honestly intill I got home with the car and had a mechanic check it out the battery was completely dead , the water pump had problems the timing belt had problems oil smelled like gas and rust everywhere definitely worth 4,000 with all the money I’ve put to keep this car running not including me having to wait 4 months for a title that I still haven’t received!! IF YU NEED A TRUSTWORTHY CAR PLZ DONT GO HERE HE SELLS AS IS SO HE CAN RIP YOU OFF!!
