Fairplain Yacht Club

Fantastic atmosphere! Great place to have lunch or dinner . Great beer selection with a full bar. Live music sometimes . Sort of a Roadhouse feel Yacht club place. Hard to describe. There's also moonshine distillery in the same parking lot.

The food was absolutely amazing. Our surfer was fantastic. The atmosphere seem like it would be a great place to be for a good night out. What really got me was the Arnold Palmer's. I could have drowned myself in them. I don't know what sweet tea and lemonade brands they use but they have it nailed!

EDIT: After 2 years, decided to make a return visit. Absolutely delicious! The food, the atmosphere, the service were all top notch. 24 local and regional craft beers on tap including brews from Big Timber, Greenbrier Valley, Country Boy Brewing, and Great Lakes. If you ever find yourself on I-77 traveling through Fairplain WV, do yourself a favor and make the exit to find this amazing hidden gem.

Not a fancy looking place but the parking lot was packed. Inside was spacious. Sports Bar environment.
Great menu. Got the Jameson Burger and son got the Barnyard.
This was the best burger ever. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. The Jameson glaze was excellent. The burger was big and it was all I could do to finish it. Wish I got extra of the Jameson glaze.
Next time we come back to WV will definitely make the ride back.

Had a delicious meal here. The menu was quite extensive and everything tasted great. I had beer battered fish and onion rings. The burgers looked very tasty as well. Tables were spaced out in a very large room. There was a nice looking bar with screens showing the current games. The restaurant itself is a hidden gem which is a bit difficult to find, but worth the journey. Service was great and the waitress was very friendly.

Walked from the Love's, wanted something different then truck stop deliciousness. Was apprehensive about halfway because of the dirt road I walked on to get there; however, when I opened the door I greeted with beautiful smiling faces. Sat at the bar and was even more blown away by the attentiveness and awesome service I received from Savannah and Tia. The owner even stopped by and checked on me, made me feel great! The smoked wings were some of the best I've ever eaten and the ribs were fantastic as well. I was so pleased with my experience I even grabbed some swag; Jeff and the team he has put together are doing it right and anytime I get remotely close I will be stopping in for good food and great service.

From the outside, The Yacht Club is deceiving. It’s down a hill and hard to see. The outside screams of a locals spot. The inside is more of the same. However, you never judge a book by its cover!!!

The staff is extremely helpful and charming. Great suggestions on food, drinks and the daily specials. The beer list was large and HF a little bit of everything. There was so much food that sounded amazing, making a decision was tough!

I had the 2018 Burger of the Month winner. It had a flavorful beef patty with cheese and their awesome pulled pork. It was cooked perfectly and soooo full of flavor. I had the house chips and they were just as tasty. Some at the table had the ribs special and they were fall off the bone perfection.

If you are passing through or staying in the area, stop in for a great meal.

By far the best French Dip sandwich we have tasted in a very long time ( it was the special) hopefully it will be on the menu fulltime. I'm not sure what they do to the meat,, but please never change the recipe!! So much flavor plus we added sauteed onions and mushrooms. The bar tender says the prime rib is the same yummy flavor. Plus if you're traveling with a RV the parking is large enough, don't let the pictures deter you. Worth it. The bar keep was very friendly and if you want to sample any draft, it is served in a frosty sampler( classy and memorable).

Stopped here on a road trip, did not disappoint! Had the smoked pulled pork sandwich and the Bavarian burger. Hidden gem here!

Excellent selection of brews on tap, great food, and friendly staff. I've never had a bad experience at the Yacht Club.

My only regret was not being able to wait around until 5 p.m. when the house smoked baby back ribs were ready.

Our first visit. Absolutely perfect!!! We are new to the area. We had the prime rib special. Cooked to perfection!!! All of the sides were fantastic. Velvety cheesecake to finish it off. Clean, family friendly environment. To top it off, our server, Kylara, was absolutely spot on!! Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, but not hovering. I really can’t say enough. We’ve already reserved a rack of ribs for next Saturday. Can’t wait.

Really good I had the Burger of the Month (Not Your Average Joe) Dr.pepper BBQ sauce that was delicious and the coffee rub on the burger was so good!

We had a great meal. Service was fast and friendly. They may not have water close by but they have a few boats inside. You need to go and just have a good time.

What a great place to eat! They serve beer and drinks too! Conveniently located close to the interstate with a big parking lot to accommodate my truck and trailer. I’ve also been here on a motorcycle. The food is great with a good selection. They make BBQ on the premises instead of buying it frozen. I have food allergies and they have always been able to work with me. The staff is friendly and service was great! I’ve also sent customers here while they were in town. Great food. Great service. Great location. What else could you ask for??

This is always a 5 star place in our book! Cold beer. Plenty of selection. Never had bad service or bad food.
