Lake Dexter County Park & Campground

Nice size camping sites! Nice wooded area with plenty of room to enjoy the lake, trails, and more. My dogs did great there. They saw other plenty of dogs, and they were leashed. The trails are nice for any age, fairly wide, and well labeled with smaps every so often you let you know where you are. I highly recommend it, and I plan on going back.

Site 95, amazing in nice weather, but watch for bad weather as the whole site is on low ground and water funnels through. Beautiful shade and close to water and pit toilets.

We've been camping at this beautiful park for over 40 years! It's only 30 miles from home, but it's so pretty. The fishing is good earlier in the year than it is now, but Walleye and Northern fishing should pick up in the next several weeks. Campsites are large, shower facilities are clean, free, and top notch. Firewood and ice is available. 50 amp, 30 amp hookups. There are a few full hookups.

We camped at Lake Dexter County Park in Sept 2023, in a travel trailer. We had reserved our full hookup site on line, so it was a self check-in situation. Camp host greeted us as we pulled in and told us to just proceed to our site. Trails were well groomed and very easy to follow. There is laundry available, 1 washer and 1 dryer. Ice and firewood were available and plentiful. We camped for 3 nights during the week, so the park was mostly empty and quiet.

This campground is very nice in my opinion. The swimming looks decent the spots are very shady . Nice playgrounds

Nice large park with electric hook up campsites. Campsites are space nice and the have campsites that lead to atv trails. Well maintained with hiking trails to hike or mountain bike on.

We've camped here two years now. It's overall a peaceful Park with plenty of room between sites. Even on memorial weekend it does not feel nearly as crowded compared to several other places we camped for years.. Great trails and swimming area. The bathrooms by our campsite were very nice and well kept the ones by the swimming area could use some work.

Site 87. We can’t say enough about this hidden gem in the middle of it all. Quiet, peaceful, nice sites with lots of space and parking. Clean facilities, nice play area for small kids, swim beach, walking trails, etc. perfect spot if you’re looking for peace and relaxation.

This is a great campground. Large sites, nice layout, directly at the lake, clean showers and bathrooms, clean beach with changing rooms, nice large playground, volleyball sand and basketball court, boat landing, near Dexter Drive Inn (need to go for ice cream), ... and dogs are allowed.

Nice clean and quiet campground. Many black topped sites, rest are gravelled. Nice little beach area.

The campground was well thought out and maintained. There are not "bad" sites and the bathrooms were pretty clean.

Awesome place to camp, alot of fishing spots, clean grounds and no riff raff, I'll keep coming back!
