Kite Hill Vineyards

Loved this winery. Staff was great! Ask them about the propeller that fell from the sky! The wines were delicious and the view while we drank was lovely.

Small place but in a beautiful scenic location. The service was good and the wine was good. The deck overlooked a pond and there were sheep grazing on the other side of the pond. We enjoyed this stop on the wine trail.

We had the greatest visit at Kite Hill Vineyards. Barb is the most generous person. She was excellent at helping us select a wine to try, and made sure we liked it before pouring us a glass. We met the most amazing group of people, who welcomed us into their circle. We hope to cross paths with all of you again someday! We had the best time celebrating our Engagement with you!

Kite Hill is a must if you are visiting the Shawnee Wine Trail, you will never want to leave! The scenery alone is worth the visit - and of course do not forget the great range of wines they offer!

We enjoyed our visit to Kite Hill. As stated by others, Barb is amazing and takes time to make sure you enjoy your selection. We met some friends of hers and the wine maker who made us feel at home. The property is amazing with great views. We strongly recommend this wi ery.

Great wine, friendly staff! Small and cozy with a lovely lakeside view! It is a bit off the road with a long driveway-- you need to go past a barn or two until you reach the tasting room, but persevere, as it is a worthwhile experience!

Quaint, adorable winery with kite decor, overlooking a small lake. My family and I sat outside for a couple of hours just enjoying the view. I didn't notice anything too special about their wine selection, but staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and their frozen wines are phenomenal.

Small, quaint, and easy going. Great wine slushees and a variety of wines to sample. Good sized outdoor deck with shade on part.

The wine slushies here are phenomenal! We actually bought a kit of the peach bellini because it was so darn good. Would definitely recommend this winery because of the slushies. Jim was the owner here and he was very nice and informative. Smaller winery, but worth a visit!

This is the second time in the last 8 months we have come to this area, this winery is one of the best. We were given a taste of a warm blueberry pomegranate wine for the holidays, simply the best. Will be back in a few months.

Didn't know what to expect when we drove up, but we had a great time. The lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly. After our testing, she recommend we go to the Big Muddy brewery on our way to St Louis. I wanted to thank her. The IPAs were nice. We left there with their Galaxy IPA X2 to take home!

Love the open views and hospitality. The location and variety of areas to sit and sip wine while enjoying the views was remarkable. Very creative setup for tasting glasses.

A smaller winery but in my opinion made the experience more enjoyable. Staff was very nice and wine taste amazing. Definitely give this place a chance.

When you are just needing a quaint little, beautiful, peaceful, winery with amazing wine, Kite Hill is just the fix! Be sure to take home a bottle of White Kite or Broad Wing!

Wow, what a great place to start our Illinois wine tour. Small place with a gorgeous view. The wine was very good and the service was perfect.

Workers at Kite Hill are very nice and professional. Drinks are great and so is the atmosphere. Highly recommend you visit and try the wine slushies
