We very much enjoyed our stay. We were very comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and the young lady at the front desk was very very welcoming and her hospitality was on point although did look forward to being in a brick exposed room as you advertised on Travelocity but unfortunately we did not get a room as such but the bed was very comfortable. The room was nice and the location was in the perfect spot near everything and everyone that we needed and wanted to visit

Very nice hotel. Easy check in process. Great location.

Reading recent reviews, the people giving low reviews about no breakfast buffet obviously don't know how to read because the website clearly says the restaurant closed during COVID.

The room is cleanish and spacious with free WiFi. The lobby is dark but maybe and a great place to just sit and relax. The staff are friendly, warm, and welcoming. My partner stayed here years ago and said the bar and restaurant onsite are great, but sadly, neither are open anymore, which is a shame.

The hotel probably needs a bit of a makeover as it's getting a little tired and not the place it used to be.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! My fiancé booked a room for New Year's Eve, came in early to check in while I was getting my nails done, and brought flowers, a bear, and my favorite wine. He asked Andrea to put them in our room to surprise me. Not only did she upgrade our room to a newly remodeled room with a beautiful view of the river, but when we got back, she had it set up in the sweetest way! It was definitely a big surprise and even surprised my fiancé with how beautifully she had laid everything out. It was so romantic, I almost cried. We saw her later and she was so excited that we were so happy with everything! She really cares about providing a great experience for her guests. This is our 3rd time here and it's been great every time!

Thanks Mark Twain!! Visited Peoria for a confirmation and stayed at this darling, eclectic hotel jewel!! Had a beautiful view of the river and bridge!! Decor was beautiful, staff was helpful! Hotel was within walking distance to multiple attractions, even the riverfront! Great place to visit!!

Our original room was ok, but when the AC was having issues they immediately put us in a new room. While it was right by the ice machine (which was loud) we still had a great view. Not only that, but it was nicer! Most likely a remodeled room. Would recommend this hotel and staff!

What a sweet place! Very pleasant experience. Just a couple hours away from our home. But, mom had surgery at OSF in Peoria. It was close to hospital, close to restaurant we chose. Provided us with all that we needed. Staff was very nice, room was clean.

All front desk help was incredible. Especially Latoya who booked our room. Will definitely stay here when visiting the area.

Super pleasant experience! Clean, comfortable room with a great view of the riverfront and bridge. An old hotel that has been updated while retaining the nostalgic charm. Staff were friendly and genuinely interested in making my stay nice, which is not easy in covid times. Didn't get to see any apparition so it's on my bucket list to visit longer next time.

Really enjoyed our stay! The restaraunt was in a class of its own. We found our Bree appetizer to be exceptional. And the breakfast in the morning was hot and pleasant. The staff was also very helpful. The room was clean and unique, and we really appreciated our shuttle driver who was friendly and prompt.

I thought this hotel was really charming. The reviews are kinda bumpy but I don't see why. The staff was very friendly and the building and rooms were very well maintained and clean. The lobby is beautiful and cozy with a very nice restaurant inside. It was also a very good deal for a downtown room. 10/10, would stay again.

Only went for dinner at their restaurant Two25. Awesome! We had shrimp cocktail to start - very good, nice portion. Ribeyes for dinner. Excellent! Tender and very juicy. Could cut it with a fork. Dinners came with a nice house salad, potato or vegetables and fresh, warm rolls. Not at all inexpensive but definitely well worth it. Would highly recommend. Just two of us and we ate at the bar. Probably a good idea to make reservations for a group. Very friendly and professional staff. Will be back for sure!

Great location, nice views of the river. Spacious, clean rooms. Interior design is contemporary, my room came with stand in shower only (no tub) The signs in the elevator that state where the ice machines & vending are is inaccurate. The breakfast is fantastic. Staff are friendly.

Great location downtown Peoria. Close to Riverfront. One block from I-74. Comfortable and clean rooms. Fantastic staff. Lobby restaurant closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Order breakfast in the evening and receive bagged food the next morning for breakfast also due to COVID-19 restrictions. Comfortable lobby with great seating to hang out while waiting or just plain to relax with a book from one of their bookshelves.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed here for one evening in order to attend a concert. The location was great: we walked to the theatre and to dinner. The ambiance is amazing: brick walls and a huge library near the lobby. Breakfast was delicious. And the extremely pleasant service sealed the deal. Will definitely be staying here again!

I don't even understand the reviews that say this hotel is "dated" We loved our room, It was very clean, very comfortable and more than met our needs. We loved the lobby and made to order omelets for breakfast! We'd love to stay again if ever down that way. Bed was wonderfully comfortable. Room had a "homey" feel. Thank you, Mark Twain!

A good hotel with pleasant rooms. Great restaurant and other amenities. Our room had a whirlpool tub in the bath. A good TV and CD player with full rich sound system. The bed and bedding were very nice. Seattle's Best coffee for the room brew. Fairly quiet on the 8th floor. Had a great night's sleep and a fine custom made complimentary omelette for breakfast. The price for a room was reasonable.

This was a nice, different hotel! It is an independent, locally-owned business. The building has a lot of charm, the room furniture was not the boring furniture you might find in a chain hotel, and the staff was polite and friendly. A breakfast voucher was included with my room, and breakfast was fresh and hot. The view from my window of the river was beautiful. I'm not sure exactly how the price compared to other local hotels, but I was pleased with the value of my experience. I would stay there again. The one thing that a visitor could find lacking would be the quality of the WiFi connection and the quality of the cable (did not seem to be HD) - those weren't major problems in my view, but if that is important in your needs, please be aware. If you want to visit Peoria, consider this charming, locally-owned hotel.
