Sleep Inn near Great Lakes Naval Base

We had a very comfortable and quiet stay. The front desk agent at check in was friendly and efficient. Room was a little old, but otherwise very clean. Location was good, close to the base and a short drive to local restaurants. Unfortunately, we left a couple of things behind but thankfully the staff turned them in and the manager, Mike, was quick to respond in helping to get the items sent back to us.

This hotel served me perfectly. I needed basic things like breakfast and a safe location near the Great Lakes Navy RTC. This place was perfect for me and my need. The staff were kind, my room was clean, the breakfast was good.

The best part for me besides the hotel itself was how close in proximity it is to everything I needed to do. There is also a convenience of plenty of food options in sight from the hotel.

I will stay here again when I visit.

Very close to where I need to go for my daughter's Naval boot camp graduation. The room was clean. The check-in lady was friendly. Overall, I had great experience. Recommended.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and desk persons were helpful and friendly. And close to the Navy academy. I thought it was wonderful they had a wall of pics of our new Navy graduates as well from other families that stayed there.

We traveled from South Texas for our Son's Navy Graduation & chose this lil hotel & had the best stay, Beds were extremely comfortable, room was clean but a little small, breakfast was simple, didn't hear a single noise, wasn't far from Navy Graduation, Would highly recommend!

The stay was excellent! I highly recomend it. The front desk associate Mike was very helpful and answered all my questions. The room was clean adn fresh and breakfast was amazing. great stay for great price. Will definatly be staying here again.

Very nice, came for a Navy Graduation, picked this one, and boy is this a good one. Nice beds, clean and all, bathroom was nice and clean, nice soap and stuff. They also had things like an iron and the table for it, plus a mini fridge. Very convenient location, as it was close to the base, a Dunkin’ Donuts-Gas station and a McDonald’s. Very worth it price.

A very nice place that is just 2 miles from the Navy base. Great service with a great variety for breakfast. We came for the Navy Graduation and after we checked out we were allowed to come back with our sailor and his friends and sit in the lobby so they could have liberty time. They really care about the sailors and their time with their family.

Sleep Inn is known for being basic. It has a stand-up shower only, no comfy chair, no microwave, no extra end tables. However, it appears to be recently renovated, and everything is clean and up-to-date. Bed was VERY comfortable. We stayed for three days, so we really started wishing for a room with furniture besides a swivel chair.

Breakfast is two waffle makers, cold cereal, yogurt, granola bars, fruit, and packaged muffins. No eggs or breakfast meats. McDonald's and Dunkin' are adjacent to the property.

Go to the Silo for pizza!

Our trip was connected to the Naval training base, so for that it was absolutely a perfect location. We would recommend the hotel and would likely stay again.

FYI, the Navy base has a parking garage right beside the graduation hall. The Navy discourages parking on base, but it was surprisingly easy to do. Just present your tickets, IDs, and vehicle info. Just leave a little extra time in case you are chosen for a random vehicle search.

Booked online for the weekend, with a late check in time.
Had to call and add an extra night when I found out my son was going to have overnight weekend liberties. Drove up from Texas and arrived around 830pm. Had no trouble checking in and our room was nice and clean when we entered. No complaints at all.
Due to covid and us staying more than 1 night housekeeping will not enter unless we ask for it. The desk clerk did tell us that if we needed anything all we have to do is ask. We have not had any issues at all. We still have 2 nights to go.

My son is a Navy recruit & had a training accident. I had to drive 6 hours to Great Lakes to the VA hospital. Called the hotel to book a reasonable cost room with no idea how many days my stay would last or what time I would arrive. All the staff was very empathetic & overly accommodating! Due to circumstances the hotel was very flexible with my late check out. The room was bright, clean, comfortable & quiet, located only about 5 minutes (w/ traffic) to the VA center. I would highly recommend to everyone!

Front desk accommodated a request, with no problem, no issue-very friendly.

Tidy and clean room. There's a safe,a fridge, iron, toiletries, 2 small towels, two big dry towels.

The 4 pillows and sheets, so comfortable. Plenty of lighting in the room. TV with basic cable and a little alarm clock radio with an aux cable . The night stand stand has 2 USB ports. Free WiFi!

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Andy at the front desk was an absolute treat. My dad, sister, and I were in town for my brother's graduation from the Navy Boot Camp. Andy explained directions, timing, shuttle services available and so much more, like helping us take pictures with the whole family when we got back. 4 stars for the hotel, but the staff makes it a 5. Absolutely recommend.

We stayed at the Sleep Inn Jan 23-Jan27 so we could got to our daughters graduation from Navy boot camp. We could not say more nice things about our stay, the employees were very helpful and professional, the breakfast was great and the room was clean. When we got back from the graduation there was complimentary cake there waiting for us. The employees went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Strongly recommend staying here if you are going to Navy graduation, it was a short drive to the graduation and they offer a shuttle if you don't rent a car. Thank you so much to all who helped make our stay and the short time spent with our graduate, so special.

Absolutely amazing! Staff was friendly, attentive, supportive of our rather "different" event, helped us document our fun in the lobby, and all around feel like we have new friends! Wonderful experience, great rooms, and service. They made a real effort! Being very close to our destinations, they served us in many ways impeccably.

I was very impressed by not only the accommodations but by the friendliness and customer service. I stayed here so I could attend my son's graduation from Basic Training in the Navy and the staff, especially Raj, was very informative and helpful. They not only answered all my questions but gave me additional pertinent information. They have a shuttle to assist families in getting to and from the graduation and fully support the US Navy.

We came to attend our son's Navy Boot Camp graduation. Today is also our anniversary, so we asked for restaurant recommendations which they provided.
They also surprised us with a small cake to celebrate our anniversary. So sweet and "above and beyond" service.

Just checked in this afternoon (9/27/19) for Naval Recruit Graduation. Raj was working the desk and offered plenty of information for the event. He also was very accommodating to help me with my handicapped mother by placing us in a room within short walking distance of the car. I had an afterthought about requesting a handicap shower stool seat and he provided on the spot. He was very helpful. Room is very decent and comfortable. So,,, so far so good!

Love it, love it. I came for my son's Navy Graduation for one day and ended staying more time. Great location, great personnel, clean rooms, near a lot of restaurants. What else I can ask for a good price? Personnel (Gerardo, Lisa and Andy) very helpful and so nice with our Sailors. Do not look anywhere else, believe me you will have a great stay!!! Great experience.
