Salon 5th Avenue

I made this appointment very last minute (2 hours before prom on April 20th) but they were able to schedule me in and got my hair style done within an hour. Had great costumer service as they were very nice and professional. I normally have very wavy/curly hair so I was only expecting hair style to last for the event but it lasted for 3 days. 10/10 would recommend

I cannot say enough good things about this salon! My hair was a disaster before I met Shawna.. My highlights and blonde were so choppy, with a yellow/orange tint, Shawna- a god send- spend HOURS correcting and conditioning my hair my back to life. She thoroughly explained to me what needed to be done and the steps she was going to take to get there and consulted with me before doing anything and I really can’t thank her enough!!

All the stylists have such spunky fun personalities and you don’t feel like just another client to walk in the door, they really make you feel welcome. I’ve now had 2 sessions here and can’t see myself going anywhere else ever again!

Paige is very professional, and great at what she does. She asked me which colors I wanted, and in what order. I asked her to do what she thinks would look best and I think it turned out absolutely stunning! She makes sure you are happy with your hair before you leave. The other hair stylists are very polite. The salon is very clean. I would definitely recommend Paige and this salon to anyone and everyone! Thanks for my awesome hair!

I’ve been seeing Shawna for a few years now and we have always stuck to blonding sessions. I was so ready for a change! My blonde was getting hard to keep up with and Shawna was on board with going darker. She nailed the color! I absolutely love my hair and I feel so much better about it! I’ve never left her chair unhappy! She is simply the best!

I also received a make up enhancement from Juliana! She did a fantastic job at making this tired mom look human and ready for a night out!

I cannot praise them enough!

In the past I've hopped around stylists a bunch but ever since I moved to the area last year I've been going to Paige. She does a great job, is priced fairly, and is just a good person overall. When I messed up my appointment the week before my wedding because of the chaos she was SO kind. Go see Paige!

Shawna has cut and colored my hair for several years and I have never been disappointed. She uses only Redken products and is extremely knowledgeable about how each works. Shawna takes the time to explain each process being done and what it will accomplish. I’ve recently started going to Maggie for facials - they are so relaxing and have really improved the quality my skin. I book my facial immediately before my hair appointment and enjoy a wonderful day of pampering.

I love coming to this salon everyone is so professional & always smiling & really enjoying what they do! Taylor does an amazing job with my hair. she knows what I want for my hair before I do. & It always comes out better than I thought it would be. she always lets you know exactly what she’s doing & really wants to help your hair become more healthy. Shawna was amazing. I went in for a cut and color and a consultation about the damage that was done to my hair by another salon. Shawna took the time to explain what was going on with my hair and we worked up a treatment plan for it. I left without getting the color due to the damage my hair had, but she was up front about everything and explained the entire process. I will be returning for color once my hair is healthy. The salon was clean and the staff was amazing. You feel included and taken care of through the entire process. My hair now looks and feels so much better and I have the products I need to continue treatment on my hair. I would definitely recommend this amazing salon to anyone! Hannah Rose did a color and cut, and deep conditioned my hair and it turned out fabulous! I also recommend Maggie and Sara for all your facial and waxing needs. They do an outstanding job as well. I’ve never left disappointed with any of my services. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s a very friendly and welcoming an environment. Every employee was very professional and everyone was very devoted to their work. I highly recommend this salon!

Exciting new spa Salon on the waterfront in Peoria. Absolutely gorgeous! Very cool but comfortable vibe! No matter your age, you fit right in. Taylor has been doing my hair since she was in beauty school and her talents have never ceased to amaze me. She is spunky, fun, and always willing to do whatever I want while maintaining the health of my hair. I cannot express enough how incredible Salon 5th Avenue is! I see Shawna, and she is incredible. My hair’s integrity is always top priority. Every appointment has resulted in gorgeous results and healthy hair. Shawna and her team also take time to educate you on what products will help your results last longer. She takes the time to explain the process and the why behind it. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I trust her entirely with my hair. Not only that, she’s great to talk to!

As if the results themselves aren’t enough, the entire Salon 5th Avenue team is amazing. The owner, Shawna, is amazing at choosing a knowledgeable team that works TOGETHER - they ask each other’s opinions and are constantly learning from each other. It also makes it a very FUN environment to be in, especially when you’re like me and spend hours in her chair. The last two times I saw Shawna, Paige assisted - she gives an incredible blow-out, my style was gorgeous, and thanks to the combination of products she used, the style lasted a couple of days!

The other side is the SPA! I have seen Keeley for a massage and she was wonderful! I felt so relaxed and she really helped the muscles in my neck and shoulders. She also gave me tips on what to do at home to help reliever the pain, and cares about how you’re feeling between appointments!!!

I am very particular about stylists and hate change - I had been shown some of Shawna's work that she had posted online by a friend and started to become curious... Could she help me? I had been to a stylists for years and didn't like the direction my hair had turned. Was always told it was my age, hair type, stress etc but in reality it was damage.
When I finally contacted Shawna, she made a consultation appt with me to discuss what I wanted and how to get there. She quickly discussed the damage that I had and how she would correct and repair it.
Ive now been with Shawna for 5 years and would have a panic attack if I needed to find someone else. She works wonders and is Highly educated. Hair is not just a profession for Shawna and her team but a passion! I cannot recommend her and the salon enough!
