What can I say this place is the biggest ray of sunshine in the area. With great selections of both books and events this is a must see bookstore on your trip to peoria. And the owner is a lovely human who has contributed so much to the betterment of the community!

Fantastic independent bookstore in Peoria, Illinois. Lots of used books and stickers, plus a dedicated writer's space adjacent that you can use on a pay-what-you-can basis. Very LGBT friendly and welcoming.

I had never been to this store before but stopped in last week with my best friend. It's a shame I don't actually live in Peoria because this independent bookstore could easily be one of my favorite places ever. I will definitely go back as often as I can.

Great community space and bookstore, a cooperative space with the writing shed. Had the pleasure of attending an openic/reading night.

Super comfortable space where a wide variety of people gathered to read, listen, and share. Emphasis on LGBTQ, also great selections of spiritual, witchy, snarky, philosophical and straight up cool.

Nice bathrooms and accessible working proprietor. Definitely a great local business to support.

Great store with a lot of variety of new and used books. The used books were like new. Very much appreciated the lgbt section which was my main reason for going on this particular day. Will definitely go back again when I'm in need of some more reading!

In March I, like many others, suddenly had a lot of time to spend at home. I have always loved to read so I checked out my local bookstore to see if they had curbside. Lucky for me they did! I stocked up on so many books. Jessica was on top of it with her Google form that listed all of the current books in stock, so it was very easy to shop online.
If you get a chance to go in store, it is very clean, organized, nicely lit, and you feel very welcome. Jessica is a very kind person who inspires me as a fellow business owner. She is a supporter of so many others in the community, so you can feel confident about supporting a great business, a great person, and a great shop when you come here.
The selection is fantastic, and I am more times than not able to find exactly what I need. If not, I can either get it on bookshop to still support lit on fire or wait until it's back in stock!

Surprising amount of tarot and oracle cards, and spiritualist books. Highly recommend

This store features a clean and well curated selection of books as well as unique sections. The biography, literary fiction, and YA sections always provide a book I'm excited to read, The owner, Jessica, is very courteous. She strives to have a dynamic selection so there are always exciting new titles every time I shop at the store. She also plans to have some cool literature themed events. Absolutely worth the trip!

This is my favorite little bookstore, with lots of selections and the amazing help of Jessica whenever I'm looking for something particular. Every gift I've gotten from here for someone else has always been loved and cherished. The best part is your money is going directly into the community! I will always come back!

This store is one of my favorite places in Peoria. Jessica is super helpful and always has a unique selection to choose from. Since it's not packed with every single option like the big stores or online it helps me to keep reading books by different authors and Jessica is great at helping to guide towards a new author or book based on what I like. Can't recommend this place enough. It has turned me into quite the bookworm : )

Amazing little book store on Main near the intersection with Sheridan. The owner is fun to talk to, very helpful and it is open late enough so I can go in after work without rushing. Overall the selection is good and the section on Illinois is quite varied. The store often hosts events such as read-ins and the occasional movie night, to an amazing array of social events. It is worth the stop and there is a small public parking lot next door.

Really nice bookstore that has ample seating. I went here for the Drag Queen Story Hour with my son and both of us had an amazing time. The owner posts new books on Facebook so you can see what new titles are on offer.

I ADORE this shop. Run like the corner bookstores you loved in the 90s. Wide selection. Very comfortable store with couches so you can browse comfortably. Competitively priced books. Standard turn-in/store credit type program. Books are of high enough quality that sometimes it's hard to tell if you're in the "new" books section or actually have a used book. Jess the owner (and only employee) is super nice. Store is LGBTQ friendly even with a section of LGBTQ books. They host fun events every month from movie nights to open mic night to sleepins. So worth a visit.

Welcoming environment!! I've been begging my partner to bring me in for forever, but we finally made the stop. Quiet, small space. You can browse peacefully and let your introverted self flourish among the shelves.

My favorite used book store in town. I feel like the owner Jessica has weeded out all the filler books and saved only the best for the customers. She is friendly and an overall nice person. A must stop for any book lover.
