El Mariachi Mexican Grill & Bar

This was my first visit to the new location in Downtown Ionia. I don't know why I waited so long, but after such a wonderful experience and meal, I can guarantee I will be returning often! My Steak and Grilled Chicken Fajitas were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Having a full service bar at the new location truly adds to the experience. Everyone in our large group of 14 that ordered a Margarita absolutely raved about them! Our server handled the large group with only a couple small hiccups, which were quickly rectified to everyone's satisfaction. He was very professional and pleasant to everyone. I can't wait to take my wife and adult children there often in the future.

My wife and I found this restaurant on Google maps. We were not disappointed with the food or the service. If you get a chance and are in the area this is a must stop. Very tasty food. The photo is the traditional hot lava bowl.

I ordered an order for delivery. The ordering process was kind of confusing and I messed up my whole order. Apparently I called back and these guys did nothing but what they could do to fix it. I felt horrible they were super nice. They fixed the problem they wouldn’t let me pay any more money, and took care of me as a customer Because of this, I will continue to go back to these guys

First time visit, with my daughter. Service as great, food was on point, an the drinks were AMAZING. DEFINITELY worth a 5 ⭐

Love, love, love this place! The food is awesome and plentiful. If you're unfamiliar with their dishes, staff will explain them to you. If you like tequila and don't know what to order, they'll help you with that too! They do a Sunday Open Mic night, where there are lots of talented locals. They don't rush you right out the door either. They treat you like family. This is our new favorite spot!

Very good food. The salsa was tasty and our food was delicious. Service was great!

Our waiter was as amazing as the food. My son & I ordered taco salad & husband ordered 2 tacos. The waiter offered more chips & salsa as we waited for our food. Our food arrived & he offered drink refills. The owner always walks around asking how things are too. This is our favorite local restaurant.

I tried camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp) tonight and I'm not sorry! They were amazing!!!
I normally get authentic lengua tacos or a junior chicken burrito which are also delicious. If you like spicy, I recommend trying their orange HOT sauce. It's super hot but so good!

The food was delicious my tacos and carne asada were cooked to perfection I will go back when I'm in Ionia next

I've never been to this restaurant ever, but my first time was a blast! The food was great, and the environment was very nice, live music and a lovely bar.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time there ☺

I love the food here the staff is so polite and you get quite a bit for what you pay for.

Friendly and beautiful atmosphere and great authentic food.
Eat in and take out.
They are now at a larger location in downtown Ionia at 412 W Main St, on the north side of the street.
They now have a liquor license.
The problem that they have now is that they are so popular they are getting crowded sometimes. I was still quite pleased and the food and caring attitude of the workers satisfied me.

Didn't get the waitresses name but she had blonde hair and was very pleasant. She answered our questions, and said they bought the space and moved from the other restaurant they were renting where we use to go and thought they went out of business. Our food was great and plentiful. We will most definitely eat there again.

The new place is fantastic food is delicious and I recommend trying the horchata

Very tasty food. I asked for their hottest sauce and they did not disappoint. They should have wait staff on lunch though, the bartender could barely keep up. But she was great, nothing against her at all.
