Nice part of the park. Has well maintained butterfly garden. Site of old Busters gas station.

Missed opportunity to put something interesting downtown, never loved the design of this corner or the style of clock. However, they normally do a great job with the flowers, the area is clean, and it offers some shade to rest in while walking. The crime here is that it’s ultimately boring, which is the appeal to everyone who tastelessly loves this clock and considers it a staple landmark. Google image search ‘small town clock’ and you will find several of these top heavy, oversized watches. I understand it’s historic and traditional - not saying it should be replaced with contemporary art, but at least something site specific that is a reflection of the community, sets Flushing apart etc.
