George's Steak House

I went to George’s with a group and had a great time! My group is from out of state and if we were local we would be regulars! The 14oz New York and Brandy Alexander were fantastic. The stake was one of the best I’ve ever had, the sear was perfect. We had ordered quite a few of the local starter and they were not to miss, the fried pickles were surprisingly tasty!
I hope to make my way back to Appleton just to stop at George’s Stake House!!

When we arrived at 4:00 for a 4:30 reservation, the bar was so crowded there was no seating available. The bartender said they had a couple of large parties.
Despite this challenge all the staff (bartenders, host, servers) were friendly, welcoming and calm. The service at the table was very good, the food first rate. (At our table, we had a light prime rib - 10 ounce, lobster tail, and duck). The odd part of the experience was that the appetizer cheese spread and liver pate arrived in plastic cups with covers. This seemed inconsistent with the rest of the presentation.
Advice: if you are planning on the duck ,(you should!) apparently you should order ahead. Fortunately for me they had one extra order - but lesson learned.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

Considering we barged into a supper club where “everybody knows your name” and took over seats from some of the regulars, it was excellent. We were there following a funeral for my Mother, and were hanging out in the lounge before our room was available. Bill the piano player was very personable and entertaining, and actually all of the patrons were quite gracious. When dinner arrived in the private room, it was great and the service was top-notch. Even though we had a crowd, no one suffered for food or drink. The atmosphere allowed us to reflect and celebrate our Mother’s life. All in all, it was a great experience, even considering the circumstances.

Friendly staff and very good food. Drinks very good too. I suggest calling to check if reservation is needed. Reservations are a must on Friday nights if you want to avoid a long wait. Very busy which is a good sign!

Went there about 7 30 and the hours said they close at 8. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated right away. Our server was very patient, kind, and attentive. Ordered steak sandwiches with a baked potato. Ended up with fries and a baked potato. Every thing was great!

This steakhouse is an all time favorite of mine for over 30 yrs! Best steaks over done to perfection. Ample serving. Great staff. Comfortable atmosphere and piano bar for singing or listening for lots of great memories!!

My wife and I finally tried this place for the first time a few days before Christmas. To say we enjoyed everything - from the food to the overall experience - would be an understatement. Phenomenal tenderloin that was cooked to perfection and came to the table sizzling and loaded with tasty shredded onion rings. The hashbrowns were delicious. My wife raved about the tenderloin stroganoff and potato soup. And after dinner, we hopped over to the piano bar and sipped on some grasshoppers while listening to festive music. Plus, the staff was super friendly, and the service was excellent. Loved the overall vibe and atmosphere. We're already planning our next two visits! Can't recommend George's Steak House enough!

Even walking into this place is cool! The piano bar is fun and unique. It isn't loud enough to hear in the dining room which is nice so conversation can still happen. The food is delicious! My husband was bummed we didn't get there early enough for the prime rib, but that just means we will need to come back again! He said the other steak he picked was excellent. I had the crab legs which were delicious and conveniently cracked for me. We will come back when we are in town.

Place is awesome. Best meal we've had in a while. Onion rings were great, salad great, steaks phenomenal. Oh and the desserts were way too good. Highly recommend.

Best steak house in the Fox Valley. Get there early on Saturday to enjoy the piano bar and have a few old fashions. The Bleu Crusted NY strip is my go to every time. Had it multiple times and it's fantastic.

An Appleton classic. From our wedding rehearsal dinner there more than thirty years ago, good steak, very good service and good value are the rule. Decor is “dated” yet in a warm, clean and not worn out way. Good crowd on an early Friday hour.

Amazing Steak!! Great cocktails, great atmosphere. This restaurant is very worth your while.

The best food I've ever had. The steak melts in your mouth. The mushrooms from behind the bar are also the best I've ever had. I know that sounds weird, but if they put that much effort into a mushroom used for rail drinks, think how delicious the rest of the food is.

This was our first visit and we could not have been happier. The staff was accommodating and helped create memories of our anniversary that will last a lifetime. Flowers on the table and the complementary dessert for 2 helped foster the shared intimacy we sought. There is an atmosphere that seems to inspire loyalty and the food was done to perfection. Wonderful place for families or date nights.

Our first visit here. Best food we've had in a while. I had bleu cheese encrusted NY Strip ($40) with potatoes au gratin. We both had clamchowder. Everuthing was outstanding.
My wife had steak stroganoff, also great. Highly recommended!

Classic Wisconsin supper club. The piano bar is a unique and fun aspect. The steaks are the best in the area. I highly recommend the ice cream cocktails.

Bartender was so polite and gracious! Everything from the pate/cheese, soup, salad, scallops and prime rib were spot on! Although, our waitress seemed a bit "under enthused" to be there, everything was great!

First time at George's Steak House. I had scallops and my husband had filet mignon and lobster. Everything was very, very good. Compliments to the chef!! The au gratin potatoes were so creamy and cheesy. AND, the hot bacon salad dressing was awesome. Our server, Kathy, was the best. Very attentive and kind. We will definitely be back. Maybe even again this week!

Nice supper club with very good food, drinks and service. Bartender was very friendly. Steaks were done as ordered.

Favorite steakhouse by far!!! Any time I want to get a good gift for someone my go-to is gift certificates for George's. Filet mignon is phenomenal! Au gratin is cravable! Be sure to call ahead, they often serve large corporate groups and can back up regular dining at times. Love to see them so busy though! The jazzy piano atmosphere is just the icing on the cake ❤🤤
