Best Western Premier The Lodge On Lake Detroit

Our family stayed in town for a basketball tournament. There were 6 of us and we all slept comfortably! The pool and hot tub were great! Vickie checked us in and was fantastic with all of our questions and requests. We will definitely be back!

This hotel is the place to go if you want to relax. The views from all the rooms look out over the lake. The sunset is spectacular! Rooms, staff, food and amenities are all excellent. They care about their guests and it shows.

The view of the lake from our room was amazing. The room was huge and very beautiful. A must stay location.

I am halfway through my stay, but I procrastinate and forget things so I wanted to write my review now. I am blown away by The Lodge! The hotel itself is very rustic appearance but modern. Very quiet and peaceful. I got in late and the lady that checked me in was very nice and helpful. There is a highway and a train right outside but I can't hear any of it. The breakfast is amazing and I even tried something I've never heard of before. And of all the hotels I've been in, I've never had beds and pillows this comfortable. Five stars isn't enough!

This place is a gem. The staff are all amazing, and the building is a beautifully rustic feeling, but up-to-date with all the amenities. Pool, Fitness, conference rooms, even an out door grill if the weather permits or your nuts. Its right on the lake giveing many of the rooms and great view. I was told there are festivals even on the lake during certain times of year. Hot breakfast complimentary, has a bar and hot meals onsite as well for dinner. LOTS of great food with in 5-10 min drive. Had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Great check-in/out service. Big, beautiful spotless room. Room rate was good. Numerous breakfast foods, including good coffee with actual coffee mug option. Gorgeous lakeside views. Close to everything yet quiet.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel, all of the staff, its location, all of their offerings - it is a perfect place to stay. The food is fabulous. The pool is great. The spa is divine. The grounds are gorgeous. There were 32 in our party all staying there for a family funeral. It couldn’t have been better. All of the different room arrangements are such a bonus. The entire hotel is comfortable and cozy - just so welcoming. Although we gathered for a sad reason, we were able to make wonderful memories at The Lodge. Thank you so much!

We went here for our honeymoon and had such a great time. The room was perfect and the view was awesome. We enjoyed hanging out down by the fireplace and the s’mores in the lounge was such a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved talking with Mitch. Made our time there so much better.

This is a very nice hotel. All the artwork and design like a cabin in the woods and very nice natural elements. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. It's extremely clean everything. The pool area small but updated and clean great hot tub. There is free breakfast and free coffee. Very nice lobby area to relax in. I definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful place with good views and amazing spa service (Kalie (sorry for maybe spelling wrong) was amazing with the deep tissue massage!). One of the best massages of my life. The stars in this review are for the hotel. The spa is 5 stars for the massage work!

We loved this place! Booked 3 rooms for 3 nights for our family of 11, and all enjoyed it a lot! The grandkids had a blast on the paddle boards, kayaks, the pool, exercise room, netting fish on the beach plus playing baseball and other games in the grassy areas. Breakfast was really good, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, toast, muffins, fruit and great coffee! Always fresh cold water and coffee available. Check in/out went great. Atmosphere and decor well done! Service so very friendly! They made you feel appreciated for being here...well done! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Great location, the rooms are clean and roomy. Service was amazing ! Special shout out to Mitch on Thanksgiving day! An awesome host ! He did a great job with checking us in and preparing our food, it was very good! I will stay again for sure!

Great view. Breakfast was included. This is our third stay here. They must be short staffed. Still no housekeeping. They have sporadic linen availability at the desk and no garbage bags to fit the small cans in the rooms. Was given a 30 gallon trash bag. Love the location, but this time wasn't as great.

Great place to stay! We stayed on New Year's Day night which was really cold this year and the fireplace in the lobby was warm and inviting. We had a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi which was wonderful! The hot tub int he pool area is large and warm as well! Beautiful views of Detroit Lakes. I want to stay there again in the summer.

So beautiful. We got the king suite balcony and it has a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub in the room. The view is so beautiful and the lodge accommodates their guests very nicely. There is fire pits in the back and the lodge provides firewood for guests. They also have canoes and paddle boats that guests can rent. Last night they had a jazz concert in the lobby. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. Most definitely when we come back we are coming to the lodge.

My favorite place to stay in DL: this BW location sets the bar impossibly high for others in the brand. I am constantly searching and hoping for a BW with a similar unique style and amenities (the pool and hot-tub are very nice and the location on Detroit Lake is very picturesque) but have yet to come across anything else that comes close.

Kitchen is great for longer stays and the whole building smells and looks clean and fresh. Location has a laundry room, a very good breakfast and super relaxing guest areas equipped with a fireplace and rocking chairs. The balcony off the breakfast is also great to eat on in the warmer months.

The staff does such a good job with keeping this place beautiful. The front desk staff is astounding. Valerie was so nice and went above and beyond what I expected. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Hotel lives up to its name being a Premier since it'll give you a premier experience! Overall the hotel was very beautiful and the ability to watch Detroit Lakes' beautiful sunsets in your own room was an added bonus!

Outside amenities are amazing(able to do paddle board in the lake) - they even provide all equipment, like life vests to use. Swimming pool is awesome as well. Their Hot (and other) Breakfast items blow other breakfast buffets at other hotels out of the water. The breakfast staff (never got the name of the lady and man) are very attentive and friendly! A beautiful view while having breakfast was a plus as well. Eating with real cutlery and plates also adds a luxurious touch to breakfast!

Excellent service from the front desk and especially Chris (owner). She was very accommodating and very friendly. I will be honest in saying i did have a small hiccup in service, but Chris and her staff went above and beyond to resolve everything and make us happy! Would definitely go back again and again!

What a beautiful hotel! We enjoyed the view of the lake, the deck off of our room and sitting down at the beach soaking up the sun. Your staff is so friendly and helpful! We ordered a couple of sandwiches for dinner from the menu in the room and they were very good! We had a nice relaxing weekend!

Very nicely appointed hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and staff is friendly. We made use of the beach and paddle boards provided by the hotel. The view of the lake and amazing sunset was very nice. Continental breakfast was one of the nicest we’ve had at any hotel. Great variety of hot and cold cereals, fruits, waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns, coffees, juices, etc.....would definitely stay here again.
