Such a wonderful experience! Fine dining in a relaxed, yet charming atmosphere with the chef Sal and his assistant taking great care of us. He explained the dishes, their sourcing, and the preparation. It really made the experience feel special. The food was delicious and high quality.

I highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.

We had an incredible dining experience here last night. They had a 4 course dinner with options at each course. Sal (don't call me Chef) was great about describing each dish and recommended a very nice wine. A very very reasonably priced fine dinning experience.

What a incredible dining experience so close to home. Sal did a VERY awesome job making a 4 course meal that was out of this world. You can easily see the passion that was put into making our meal, and he tells you everything about each plate. High quality locally sourced ingredients. You don't need to get all dressed up, as we felt very comfortable in casual attire.
There may not be a huge menu selection but to us that didn't matter one bit, you can view the daily menu online. This is simply a experience you must have, and felt the price was totally inline with the quality and service.

If I could give this experience more stars, I would. Sal did an applaudable job. His charisma too was something I really found delightful. Food was so good. Live lettuce was fresher than fresh. Honestly check this place out!

Oh my!!! The food was incredible! What a treat to have this quality of food and service in waupaca. The chef serves you, tells all about the food being served, allowed us to go down to the cellar to choose our wine and of course the ambience is beautiful. Fabulous taste, textures...a beautiful work of art.

Neat, quaint, little place to eat and sleep! They have a menu that changes with whatever is fresh and seasonal. We had the aioli garlic burger, turkey panini and quinoa vegetable salad. We sat outside and ate. The house is cool, old and decorated inside. It's also a b&b/ airbnb.

Stayed at the inn for a night and we had the best time. The room was clean and beautiful, staff was incredibly nice and helpful, breakfast was yummy and everything was super pretty!!! Definitely would recommend staying at the inn if you ever get a chance! They even have a small tv room you could stream from which was awesome. Better experience I’ve ever had at any hotel!!!

We came here for a ladies lunch gathering. It was absolutely amazing. Food. Service. Atmosphere. All were ten out of ten.

We celebrated my sister's birthday at The Green Fountain Inn and had the most elegant and delicious meal ever! It began with a soup or salad selection. I had the curry, coconut soup. It was absolutely out of this world! Followed by Chicken Cordon Bleu, served with wild rice and asparagus with a sauce over the top of the asparagus and rice. The white lemon cake was something from heaven, phenomenal. If you are looking for an extraordinary place to dine, I highly recommend this place.

Waupaca is lucky to have a chef like Saul. Locally sourced seasonal ingredients are masterfully prepared. We had a truly incredible meal. The ambience is quaint but the food steals the show.

We had a fabulous, safe, wonderful meal at Green Fountain Inn created by Chef Sal and beautifully presented by him. During Covid, safety was our number one concern and Chef Sal did everything in his power to ensure we were comfortable and safe. Separate rooms for dining areas and mask wearing enhanced our experience. Portions were extremely generous and served piping hot. We will return before long.

Awesome first dinner out during pandemic.

My wife and I had dinner at Green Fountain Inn on March 6. My wife was a little anxious, however, we had been assured that we had a private dining room as did the other two seatings that evening.

We started our meal with a bottle of Marcel Dubois 2017 Vouvray at a very nominal price followed by Brie Quesadiilla topped with apple, arugula salad appetizer. The quesadilla was paper thin with just the right amount of Brie and so, so yummy.

My wife’s entree consisted of crab cakes on potato corn chowder with shrimp nestled in under the crab. The crab cakes were encrusted with unobtrusive panko crumbs and appeared to be perched on top of the chowder without any moisture seeping into the very thin crusted coating. The chowder gave off an aroma of freshly steamed vegetables which melted in your mouth.

I chose the Big River Family Farms trout accompanied by Quinoa, apple and fennel. I can’t recall having such delectable trout steaks with crusted skin. This would be a must have for my return. As the finale, my wife and I shared the flourless chocolate cake with homemade ice cream.

Chef Sal made us feel quite comfortable with attention to the timely serving of each selected item in addition to serving the other two seatings. He peppered our conversation with tidbits of his career to the point that we were very familiar with a local restaurant he had serviced during his time in our hometown.

This is definitely a must visit place to enjoy a grand meal. Thank you for the memory of our first meal out during the pandemic.

A charming historical setting in which to have a unique meal! Long sick of the regular junky dining options, we were surprised to have a fresh, made-to-order, fine meal at the Green Fountain's cafe. Highly recommended! The price is very fair for the high-quality meal.

We had our wedding catered by Sal and the food was incredible. We received many compliments, especially about the pork. Sal was professional, flexible, and everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend!

Green Fountain provided the perfect atmosphere for two friends to have a relaxing time to chat and dine. EXCELLENT ECLECTIC ENVIRONMENT! The food was cooked and served to perfection...Thank You, Chef, for your Birthday Greeting--song and sorbet topped off our enjoyable afternoon. Worth the travel time from Baraboo...be back in the spring. You ROCK!

I try to get to the Green Fountain Inn for lunch or dinner whenever I am in the area. The food is amazing and the service is great. Barb and Michael are incredible chefs and the baked goods are to die for. Everything is made fresh, including the sauces, breads, and iced tea, and each item can be customized to whatever you want. Lunch prices are very reasonable.

We started going here over a year ago and keep coming back. Food is extraordinary and cooked to order so it's easily customized to your needs. Dinner served only Fridays and Saturdays - don't miss it! The Inn is comfortable, quiet and good value, Attractive inside and out. Friendly and very professional hospitality. Variety of accommodations. Convenient to cross state travel or as destination with easy walking to restaurants, shopping and nature. Waupaca is charming town and beautiful area.

Reservations for rooms and for meals are a recommended. There are times when there is no one there. This is not a place to be in a hurry. We find this all to be a pleasure and are looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely amazing menu for Valentine's Day with wine pairing. This is our gold standard place for dining. Thank you Chef Sal and crew. Lovely rooms in the B&B as well.

Absolutely charming place to stay. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet at night and an easy half mile walk to downtown Waupaca. They have a fabulous breakfast in the morning, usually something like a veggie fritatta and homemade toast and jam, orange juice and coffee. It's fun to poke around the parlor and look at all the knick knacks and antique bits and bobs. It feels like staying at your very hospital great aunt's house. Has: WiFi, private bathrooms (for some rooms), A/C, coffee and breakfast in the morning.

The rooms were clean and pleasant and the food was outstanding. The staff was warm and accommodating and adaptable to our needs. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return for another visit.
