Nice quiet place. Fishing and camping available. Nice long trails and paths. Super scenic. Maintained landscape. Beautiful views. Some docks. Plenty of parking. Playground and bathrooms nearby.

I only drove through and had dinner at the Way North Restaurant. It is beautiful. Saw a lovely camping area with trees, a beach area, fishing, boating (not speed boats), and bird watching looks to be great. I apologize, my pictures are of my new vehicle with the lake in the background so they don't do it justice. I did include 2 pics from the Way North Restaurant also. They have a large outdoor deck that over looks the lake also.

Great little park. Quiet. Will be better once the lake is done and fills back up. Good restaurant right outside the entrance and Tekamah is close with more.

Of all the places I have camped the last 97 days, I always come back to Summit. Clean sites, Friendly People and Facilities unmatched. Camp in the shade, in the Sun, or spend Time on the Beach. It's a mature Lake tucked away among hills that give way to good roads. A lake Resturaunt and no wake great fishing combination make this a little traveled sanctuary.

A quiet Getaway West of Tekamah, Ne. has it all. Lots of shade, clean campgrounds that are modern yet rustic in a naturally matured environment. On a still clear night, Stars reflect bringing the sky into the lake. Summit has a Beautiful Beach line with fresh water. Spring fed an Earthed Dam Boasts potentially huge Fish. Cranes, Pelcans, Geese, Great Owls, Eagles...oh my. Deer, Turkey and late night yelps of Coyotes echoe on occasion. Just before you enter the area is an Awesome Restaurant with a newly Constructed outside deck that over looks the area.

Very clean campground and facilities. Nice primitive tent camping area away from RVs which is hard to find! Quiet and peaceful.

Great fishing, nice facilities for camping and BBQ, wildlife, out of the way & no noisy speeding boats.

This is the most overlooked public area in the greater Omaha vicinity. Wonderful place to take the family for the weekend.

Fish? Largemouth bass, walleye, crappie, bluegill, catfish and more. Fantastic for float tube enthusiasts in the south end of the lake.

You MUST have a Nebraska Parks sticker or day pass to use these grounds.

I wish I would have remembered to take some pics. By accident, I stumbled upon this park in the evening and checked it out. It's a beautiful lake, even in the winter. Very clean, kept up, quiet area with everything you would want when camping. Areas of trees, and also open ground, low and high ground, and the lake has more fishing access areas than I've ever seen at any other park. I will have to stop back during summer and spend more time relaxing and enjoying nature. I would recommend for day use, fishers, small boaters ( I'm not sure of the boating regulations here), tent campers, and Camper/RV goers.

One of the best lakes for Bluegill in the whole state. Also Bald Eagles flock to this lake if you're a photographer looking for wildlife to photograph. Truly breathtaking when you take the hiking paths to the more secluded areas.

I tent-camped recently at Summit Lake with my family (wife, kids 3 and 5 years-old), and we had a great experience. I haven't been there in years, and I was very impressed by all the improvements that have been made since I was there last. It's nothing sophisticated, but everything seemed nice and well-maintained. I didn't have a chance to fish, but I've heard good things from others. The camp sites were nice, well-laid out, and the mosquitoes weren't bad at all while we'were there. We'll definitely be going back again soon.

Beautiful lake for fishing, canoeing, swimming, camping and picnicking. The park has both modern and primitive bathroom facilities and were extremely clean and well maintained when we visited.
We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife; our favorites were the white pelicans on the lake and sandhills cranes. We will certainly be visiting again.

This lake has received many upgrades. Lake has improved accessibility. Camping has modern facilities. Birdwatching, hiking, fishing. New roads and campgrounds are slated for future. Nice lake!

Great small state park. Best part of this time of year is that most parks are almost empty. Had choice of most any tent site. Great setup on the lake front. Could use another one or two restrooms.

Very well maintained park. No wake lake with a few people out fishing. Lake swimming area was clean. Sites for both tent and travel trailers. Showers and restrooms. There is also plenty of shade.

Really nice lake, access to swim beach, fishing, hiking, camping both motor home and tents, just great place for greeting back to nature. If you don't have a state park permit their is a daily fee, not sure of cost, I also believe theirs is a camping fee, you can check summit lake website for additional details.

Most of the time it's pretty windy, but when the wind does down the fishing is pretty good caught a 6 and 12 pound channel on corn and got a 3 pound large mouth
