We love this place. They have sourdough bread. Sandwiches, which are very good are available for carryout. The people that run this place are lovely.

Don't bother going. I guess they decided to quit working. Who knows when they'll be open.

Absolute best bread in town. Especially love the country loaf (sourdough). Small town charm that’s big on customer service and high quality product. Organic and local ingredients. Call ahead to reserve a loaf if you are going to stop in later in the day, because they almost always sell out.

This place is amazing, just sitting here writing a review makes me salivate, and now I want a pop tart from the bakery. Almost time for my free bread.

One of the best places (maybe the best) to get a sandwich or treat in Athens - and they have beautiful breads too :) The folks at the counter are fab and the atmosphere is peaceful. Love it there!

Love this place! I was in a bread coma after my first visit and had to hide my car keys to keep from driving right back the next day. This is Athens' hidden gem.

Very good breads in both flavor and selection. Particularly love the rye. I don't love their baked goods but that is simply a matter of taste. I prefer what they have at Kindred. My friend loves their eclairs and little cakes.

I just ate a roasted red pepper goat cheese scone from this place; I don’t believe Alice Waters herself could have made a better one! Plus the people are always so nice here-highly recommend:)

My partner purchases from here every Tuesday. Usually a loaf of bread, some sweets, and a Panini. Everything I've had here is extraordinary. I love the ham and brie paninis. I actually put just a little apricot jam on them to add a sweet layer to the savory. My favorite bread. Hands down.

This European style bakery offers amazing sourdough breads and sweet pastries to make your mouth water.

Once again, feeling fortunate to have close-to-home local alternatives to big-box stores and air bread. Maybe a little pricy for flatlanders and rubes like me but sometimes there's no comparison between fresh out-of-the-oven delicious breads vs. store shelf breads. Plus,nothing better than supporting our unique local enterprises. Just wish they were open Mondays too !

Have tried at least half of their breads, all of their paninnis. Excellent! And I am fussy. Highly recommend if you like good, well proofed bread, well baked bread. In a perfect world, I wish the sourdough had a bit more "tang", that the ciabatta had a dash more salt and that all was in the oven for another 30 seconds...but I am nit-picking here. Best bread I have had, have found in a long time. Props to the bakers!

I'm thrilled about the pain au chocolat, tastes amazing and is a perfect fluff. Definitely saw all the other baked goods and will be back!

I adore stopping at this small bread shop any time I'm in Athens and have never been disappointed by my purchases (often thanks to recommendations by bakery staff!). I recently got the "siciliano" loaf crusted with sesame seeds and splurged on a little dessert (pistachio cake with bourbon orange glaze) and OMG both are simply delightful. Don't mind paying a bit more for high quality. Definitely getting the pistachio cake every time forever going forward - it's sooo good!

My husband and I make this a regular stop when we visit Ohio University. The staff are always friendly, the bread and pastries are fresh. There is always a variety of baked goods to choose from each time we go.

Amazing little Italian bakery in Athens, Ohio. The small olive oil cakes are to die for, but I've never had anything here that wasn't fabulous. Try it all!
