I have been coming to see Shelby for a few years now and they always brighten my day! This salon has such a positive and inviting energy. You will leave feeling refreshed, pampered, and HOT.

Lauren is fantastic, she did an amazing job with my hair! She was so kind and just made it such a wonderful experience for me. The atmosphere is very relaxing, everyone seems very friendly, and the coffee was a nice touch! Thanks for taking care of me on my birthday!

I went to Olive and Ivy for the first time today and saw Kenzie for a cut and couldn’t be happier. I moved to Cincinnati a few years ago and have been to multiple stylists but have never found one I loved. Kenzie listened to exactly what I was looking to achieve with my cut and executed perfectly. She was super sweet throughout the process and the environment in the salon was beautiful. I’ve already booked with her again and am so happy I finally found someone I can trust with my hair.

Meg did an AMAZING job on my hair! As a natural redhead, i’ve consistently been told “no” by other stylists when I have asked for highlights or anything to switch it up! Meg was the first to say “YES!”. She was super professional & gave me exactly what I was wanting! She has a positive energy about her it’s impossible to leave without a smile on your face. I also met Brenna during my appointment and she was super sweet! They both made me feel so loved while in the salon! The whole atmosphere is so nice & welcoming and I so love all of the plants everywhere!

I don’t know where to start but I am so extremely happy with Olive & Ivy and with my hair. Not only is the atmosphere positive and fun, Emily (and everyone really) was very welcoming! Emily took time to sit with me at a consult and again on my appointment day to be sure we were on the same page with what I wanted. Leaving a salon I went to for 4ish years was scary but well worth it. Many places can do hair well and they did, but the main reason i needed to change salons was due to environment, mean girl energy. I felt so comfortable and like I fit in at Olive and Ivy, there is no question that I’ll be back in! Thank you to the entire team and especially Emily for helping calm my nerves and get my hair ready for fall!

I cannot say enough good things about this salon. In my opinion it’s the best in Cincinnati. I would come hang out here every day if they would let me lol.

I go to Summer who I am obsessed with. She gives me THE BEST haircuts I’ve ever received and I go to her for all of my coloring needs. I have also seen Brenna way back when she wasn’t even at olive and ivy yet and that was a wonderful experience as well. Those two also tag teamed a color correction for me once that was truly heaven sent 😭 (see before and after photos)

Everyone at olive and ivy is so educated, experienced, and knowledgeable and they are constantly improving their craft by taking classes and learning so much, while also sharing their knowledge with other stylists which is so admirable. They try to uplift anyone in this industry as well as everyone who walks through the door. Every stylist here is so passionate about what they do and so dedicated to doing their best work constantly and it shows. I am honestly inspired by them all.

Not to mention the aesthetic, ambiance, and vibe they have curated with the neon signs and plants and amazing decor. And the music!! And if you’re lucky enough to meet a baby or a dog, it’s a great day.

They really feel like a family, they all help each other, and none of them are in the business of competing with other stylists and I love that.

Literally obsessed 10/10 and I can’t wait for my next appointment!

A trip to Olive + Ivy is something I always look forward to. The salon itself is beautiful, but the kind hearted, hilarious, talented people who work there make it something extra special. Brenna has been doing my hair for a year now - taking on a new client in the midst of a crazy global pandemic. She’s honest about what results are achievable, she listens - and she’s ridiculously good at what she does. She’s sweet to everyone (including my daughter, who loves her and constantly wants to change her own hair). My hair has never looked better. As if all that weren’t enough to keep me coming back, Meg treats every person who walks through the door like they’re a friend. Hands down, best salon I’ve ever been to.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Kenzie and Olive and Ivy salon! Kenzie gave me such great advice on keeping my hair looking amazing and did such a wonderful job with my hair cut!

So glad I found this hidden gem in Madisonville! The staff is so nice and welcome (not uppity at all). My stylist Hanna did a wonderful job. I was very nervous about getting curtain bangs but wanted to try them. She spent a ton of time with me talking me through options. Such a sweet person as well. I found my new hair salon for sure!

So glad I found Olive and Ivy on Instagram! I've been seeing Emily and I've never been happier with my hair. Had been going for a while for blonding only but currently, I have the prettiest rainbow hair in the world 😍🌈
The salon is so cute. All the plants. Good music. Good vibes. And all of the stylists are so sweet and welcoming. The stylists are always pumping each other [and the clients] up. Can't tell you how many times a different stylist has complimented my hair before my appointment is even over 😆 The salon is LGBTQ and fat-friendly. If nothing else, follow them on social media, you won't regret it! I can't say enough good things about Olive and Ivy.

Ps. Sometimes they have dogs at the salon. Heaven.

I visited Olive and Ivy for the first time this week and couldn’t have been happier. I was lucky enough to be able to snag a last minute appointment with Brenna after many months of admiring her work. After asking me about my hair goals, Brenna took the time to discuss her plans and ensured I had no questions. The end result was amazing-Brenna is insanely talented and I am so excited to return to the salon.

As soon as I sat in Meg’s chair I felt like I was meeting an old friend. She is so professional but has a little something extra that makes being at Olive & Ivy seem magical. My hair has never been as healthy and vibrant as it has been since I started going to her.
I have also had my hair done by Shelby when Meg was not available, and they are wonderful too. They are very knowledgeable about hair and provide such a comfortable experience for anyone that sits in their chair. They are equally good at hair cuts as they are in fashion colors.
You can’t go wrong with Meg or Shelby. I’ve never experienced such a loving and excepting environment in a salon before coming to Olive & Ivy. I will be a customer for life.

This is the very first time in my life that I walked out of a salon with exactly what I asked for. The entire staff was so incredible and made my chocolate hair dreams come true. It’s places like this that bring a beam of positive light on dark days! Highly highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Olive & Ivy is such a wholesome and welcoming environment. Meg and Shelby especially are so fun to talk to!! Shelby is my hair person and they are so freaking talented! I always feel safe with my hair in their hands. My hair is a pain - lots of cowlicks, weird growth patterns - and yet Shelby always KILLS it! We are constantly experimenting and they are always quick to listen to my “complaints” and work to try to find possible solutions. Olive & Ivy as a whole is an extremely safe space for LGBT folks and are all about helping you achieve a hairstyle you look and feel like your best self in! Would highly recommend this establishment!

This place is amazing, from the cozy aesthetic to inclusive culture and the energy from the stylists Allyson, Jessie, Fia and manger Meghan Gilbert. Ive been lucky to be a model for Allyson first just doing an angled bob hair cut with texture and I couldn't have been happier. In addition to i had a separate appointment with Allyson, Jessie and Fia being their vivid color model and it was worth the hours they put in i got turned into a sunset vibe! The customer service was top tier from all of them and we had great rapport making me feel at home and willing to come and spend all my money here! I was able to gain education from them as the service continued which is always the best. We concluded with a fashion shoot teaching the new stylists how to take the best vibey hair posts from the talented Meg! I couldn't recommend this place more!

Best and most amazing salon! The environment is out of this world, not to mention the crazy talented and caring stylists! 100/10 overall!

I see Brenna and highly recommend her!! She is always sweet, does an amazing job, she listens to my hair questions and requests (even if I reach out when I’m not there) and is always willing to help. She has done a phenomenal job with my hair both when blonde and red!

I love Olive and Ivy so much! If you are looking for a salon to call your home, look no further. I see Shelby for all my cut & color needs and she never ceases to amaze me. I love spending time in her chair & in her company, she's the best! The staff is so professional and the atmosphere of the entire salon will make you feel so at ease and comfortable. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!

I saw Lauren and she gave my hair life! The results were EXACTLY what I was explaining to her! This is the first time I’ve been happy with a cut/color in a long time! She was so nice and easy to talk to, I can’t wait to book with her again! The salon as a whole is very welcoming and beautiful. I loved the modernness and all of the real plants around! This is a space I can’t wait to spend more time in as a client!

Edit 10/20/21: I have now been seeing Lauren for quite some time, and saw Shelby while Lauren was out on maternity leave. Let me tell you -- you can't go wrong seeing any stylist here! Each stylist has their own vibe and they all have amazing energy! Even when I see one stylist there are always others there hyping each other and their clients up! If I could quit my job and just hang out here every day I would. I have never met so many sweet, talented people in the same environment. Can't wait to watch the salon expand and grow!

Brenna has color corrected/colored my hair twice so far, and I have an upcoming appointment for a third visit. Both times Brenna did my hair, I left the salon feeling confident, beautiful, and relaxed. Yes, the services are expensive, but Brenna is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and talented, so you are paying for quality. It is also important to trust the process - blonding to a different tone can't happen overnight, especially if you want to keep your hair healthy. I've purchased products from the salon, too, and my hair has never looked, felt, and smelled better! Don't be afraid to ask about finances in more detail if you aren't sure you can afford the services.
