Dr. Klaiber is so kind! The staff was very nice. I brought my 3 dogs for their annual exams and vaccines. My one is a previous abuse victim and frequent flier at the vet, so she gets very anxious. The doc and staff went slow and offered her treats and she did great. Dr. Klaiber was very thorough and knowledgeable. Thank you!

My dog is highly reactive to pretty much everything, but the doctors, techs, and staff at VCA Madeira are her favorite people. Seeing my dog - who can't be across the street from another dog or person without high anxiety - straining at her leash, tail wagging, to get into the vet's office is the best testament I can give as to how great the VCA Madeira team is. They are kind, efficient, and provide excellent medical care to their patients. They are professional and communicative, but also somehow make you feel like family.

I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a wonderful vet!

Dr. Gillen is the best vet I have worked with in 20 years of pet ownership. She personalizes her care to our dogs and is responsive to my many questions. I personally appreciate her respect for our "animal budget" as well. Fees are discussed openly so that I can make the decision that is best for our dogs and our family. Thank you, Dr.G and team!

We have been going to Madeira Animal Hospital for many, many years and would never go anywhere else. All of our Animals have been treated with the best of care; from new puppies to very senior pets. Dr.s Gillen and Canis have treated our furry family members like their own and remember fondly the ones that have passed. The staff is first class, knowledgeable, caring and very helpful. They have always been there for emergencies and refer us when necessary. This whole team is the best.

Dr. Canis, Sandy and the entire staff made our first visit to Madeira Veterinary Hospital for our new puppy a great experience. They were professional, but sweet and loving, and went above and beyond in helping us. My mother and sister both go there with their pets and have spoken highly of them for years. Cannot recommend them enough!

My family and I have been bringing our cats and dog to Madeira Veterinary Hospital for five years -- in that time our pets have received truly excellent care with compassion and real sensitivity to details. All of the people at Madeira seem wonderful and very happy with their work. I really don't think I have seen any turnover in staff in all of the time we've been bringing our pets to them -- always a good sign.

I switched to the vets at Maderia Animal Hospital after I lost my beloved Scottie a year ago this Labor Day weekend. I no longer trusted my vet. I bring my 13 year old Black Lab here now and just love it. Dr. Canis you are the best! I feel very comfortable with you taking care of Tootsie as she ages gracefully. Everyone in the practice has been nice and quickly attends to my pets needs. Thanks for making the transition so easy. I give you 5 stars!

This absolutely stellar group of professionals--the vets themselves, the technicians, the people at the front desk--has cared for my beloved pets for 25 years, and they've done so with magnificent expertise and universally warm hearts. They've kept my dogs as healthy as possible for as long as possible and helped them to a gentle death when that time came. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our family has been with Madeira Veterinary Hospital for 25 years. We've always had a lot of pets (dogs and cats), anywhere between 4 and 8 at a time. We've always experienced great care from all the doctors and staff over the years. From new puppy and kitten care, routine checkups, sick visits, surgeries, spay-neuters, dental care, elderly pets with chronic conditions, and end-of-life care, they've done it all and we feel they are the best!

I was visiting Cincinnati when my 5 lb Chihuahua puppy became ill. Even though I had no relationship with Madeira Vet hospital, they worked me in the day I called (a Friday) and spent an amazing amount of time with me and my puppy trying to get the info we needed to understand what was making her sick. Dr. Gillan and the receptionist staff were caring and concerned. On Sat, Dr. Gillan called me on her day off to give me the blood work results and do all of the necessary paperwork to get us to the emergency care we needed. I am very grateful for their care and recommend them highly.

The veterinary services are excellent. Everyone is professional, well-trained, and kind. My puppy loves coming here. I feel confident in the stewardship provided by Dr. Gillen and Dr. Canis.

In a survey, you can choose the level of engagement you want with regard to your pet's health directives. I elected to talk with the veterinarians, before deciding how to move forward with the treatment. The examinations are thorough. The doctors are thoughtful in sharing their assessments with me, and I feel informed every step of the way.

Dr. Gillen, who sees my dog more often, has gone out of her way to find reliable referrals for training and behavior specialists — pivotal assistance that helped me better understand how to raise my dog.

The veterinary technicians are competent and personable, and the reception is efficient. They make the billing easy to understand. It's been a relief to find a place where my dog can be in good hands.

I have been so happy with the type of care my dog receives. The staff, Dr Canis, and Dr Seaman are very compassionate and genuinely care. I also respect the fact that they do not "over" sell you on services, shots etc that you don't need.. Thank you also to the staff, they greet you with smiles

The Madeira Veterinary Hospital does an excellent job with our dog, Archer! He is a rescue that can be challenging with new people. They are always patient and supportive. Very flexible to squeeze us in for urgent concerns.

After moving here from Florida I made the wise decision of choosing Madeira Veterniary Hospital to care for my two Aussies. Dr Canis is a compassionate, sweet, and extremely knowledgeable veterinarian who has always taken the time to get to know us and our fur babies. We have been taking our children there for years. They have been there in the beginning of their lives and also at the end. Their love and compassion is equal to that of family. The recent loss of Dr. Seaman leaves us quite sad. However as said above , The office is like family and as when we lose someone we love we mourn. His legacy continues in the superb care and commitment we receive every time from the staff. A true testimony to his love and compassion for the children he took care of.

This practice has cared for more than 27 of my pets (both cats and dogs) for more than thirty years, from Dr. Johnston through Dr. Seaman and to Drs. Canis and Gillen today. I consider the doctors and techs family and trust them to manage my animals as I would care for them myself. They are sensitive and skilled and compassionate professionals, and they have seen me through all the joys and sadnesses (and comic relief) of taking care of beloved pets. I can't imagine life without all of them.

A special thank you to this wonderful staff and Dr. Canis who took a few minutes out of their day to meet my daughter who wants to grow up to be a veterinarian. They made her feel really important answering her "interview" questions with such encouraging words.

I can pretty much guarantee that the men who preceded the extremely competent caring female Doctors who practice there today would be beyond pleased and proud.Love them all !!!!!!!
