Super cute little book store! Not a wide selection, but most of the big name books. Almost 50/50 adult to children's book selection.

They always have what I’m looking for and the one or two times they didn’t have a book on my list they immediately offered to order for me and I had it in my hands within a few days.

Also, the kindest and most literature saavy women work here. You say what you’re searching for and they immediately pull it off the shelf for you in seconds. And you definitely feel like a regular after visiting a few times, as these gals are great at remembering a familiar face.

The ladies of The Bookshelf all remind me of Kathleen Kelly from the film You’ve Got Mail and the whole place has such Shop Around the Corner vibes. I love it!

My parents, husband and I love going to bookstores. We try to support local businesses so we found The Bookshelf. Upon entering we noticed how small it is but we were very surprised by the variety and quantity of books!
Cookbooks, health, young adult, kids, best sellers, NYT best sellers, staff recommendations, mystery, non-fiction, classics, mystery/Sci-Fi and more. My mother purchased 6 books and I purchased 2 myself. The woman was very kind and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely come back to The Bookshelf!
Give yourself more than an hour to browse the shop. Though it is small, there is so much to look at!

As a fellow bookseller I can tell the selection, although small, has a lot of thought behind it. Never had a bad experience and always find something I didn’t know I wanted.

If you have a young family member that loves to read, you need to pay a visit. Staff is beyond helpful and able to help children find new books that are at their level. Fantastic shop with a great selection and tremendous staff.

This is an excellent advisory and source for acquiring books. Knowledgeable co-owners operating the establishment with a long tradition. No hourly clerks just to ring up a sale. Also excellent follow through with orders on a timely basis.

We found a kids book here that Half Price Books didn't carry. Staff very pleasant and helpful and it was a big help for us to not have to go online to find what we were looking for, thanks!
