Lots of exotic woods and large live edges for special projects. Staff are knowledgeable and will help you find what you need for your wood working projects. Highly recommend this place.

Great hardwoods and will say I appreciate the customer service as I am literally too short to reach any of the smaller live edge pieces. I’ve done there several times to pick up material for my hobby of making charcuterie boards.

Stopped by just to see the store, I felt like I walked into heaven for men. The inventory is amazing along with the smell of fresh cut wood. They have just about any wood that you could think of. The prices were very reasonable and the staff took the time to answer questions I had. Stop by and shop you won't be disappointed

I stopped in to check on a fairly hard to find wood today. I was met with a smile and great advise and service. They took time to answer several questions. They showed how different finishes would look on the wood and offered to prep the wood best for my needs. They were nothing short of fantastic! I will be buying all my lumber from them. It is hard to find exceptional customer service anywhere today...you will at Kettle Moraine Hardwood.

What a great place to shop for raw wood planks, exotic wood species, and fireplace mantles. Sam was so very helpful with our 9-foot fireplace mantle project. He explained how to select the type of wood, how it normally stains, how he would finish cut/sand it, and even provided me with a sample section to test stain colors on. Sam made our shopping experience productive AND fun. Thank you KMH and Sam!!

I’ve had several counters and shelves made from the wood at Kettle Moraine Hardwoods. They have lots of wood and offer planing, sanding and sawing one side straight to get you started. You can bring back finished pieces for a belt sanding as well before you finish sand. Lastly they sell general finish products, the best. Always a great experience for wood newbs and vets.

First time in staff took the time to explain how they price and organize everything and services offered. Good pricing and selection. Worth the 1 hr drive for me and will definitely be going back. Updated after going there for a few years, only place I go for hardwood. Great exotic options as well.

I went here as a homeowner of a near 100 year old home. I was in need of one piece of replacement door trim. It had to be custom made and Kettle Moraine Hardwoods made the trim piece out of red oak, 6 ft. long. Cut it, planed it and sanded it for a little over $13.00 Even if one of the big box stores would have had it in stock, I wouldn't have gotten the quality service and product especially for that price. Awesome place! Thanks gentlemen!

Been hearing about this place for years and finally had a chance to stop in today. Impressive selection and great service! I picked out some beautiful quartersawn white oak pieces and got help loading up Baltic birch plywood and some really nice cherry veneered plywood. It's a bit of a drive for me (~40 miles) but I'll be back!

This is my favorite lumber place of all time (and I've been doing fine woodworking for over 20 years)! You won't find dimensional lumber here, but you will find everything else, including some woods you've never heard of.
Excellent pricing! Buying rough lumber will save you big $$$, but if you don't have the equipment, they will plane, rip, crosscut and sand at nominal costs. Highly recommend them and I'm a regular customer!

Met with Brian tonight to pick out a slab for a fire place mantel. He was super patient with us rookies. He took his time, explained each piece. He ensured we walk out the door loving our selection.
