Candlewood Suites Youngstown West - Austintown, an IHG Hotel

I can’t say enough good things about our experience!! They took us in last minute with TWO dogs due to a terrible experience at another hotel in the area. Front desk staff were amazing not matter what time it was but special shout out to Devon! I’m hoping I am spelling her name right, she made us feel right at home. Affordable dog fee, pool, and jacuzzi! The beds were so comfortable, I have never slept better in a hotel. It was quiet, I never heard a sound even with being ear gas stations and busier road. We had the best stay!

I have stayed at many hotels across the country but this one is hands down the best. The lady at the front desk (Dion) was by far the centerpiece of the hotel! I have no idea what they pay her but it SHOULD be more! Great experience, never an issue and by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Hello!! We had an unexpectedly horrible day with one setback after another including being stranded on the turnpike for 6 hours, hastily booking a cheap Airbnb which left us cold, wet, muddy and without pillows or blankets, a busted driver door mirror, and many other emotional challenges. Our saving grace was MIKE at the front desk!!! We arrived late and he was the most pleasant encounter we’ve experienced since this day from hell began. He was warm, welcoming, patient, friendly, accommodating and helpful with EVERY thing that we needed! Our first time at a Candlewood Suites location, and now, will definitely not be the last. He’s the type of person who should train all the other desk people. Thanks again MIKE!! Once we got to our room on 2nd floor, we were VERY pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was, the fact that there’s literally a full sized fridge, dishwasher, 2burner electric cooktop and dish ware, pots, cooking utensils, silverware and glassware!! For the low price we paid I was VERY impressed. There’s also 24 hour access to gym and laundry room for guests(NO coin op!!—FREE)

Deanna was excellent at welcoming us at our first stay at this lovely place. The lobby is very inviting with the holiday decorations. There is a great selection of goodies in the pantry.

Great staff!! Easy access on and off the highway. The staff however made the stay Phenomenal. Johns and Dion were amazing. They catered to our every need. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks %100!!

When you travel for work every single week of your life, hotels kind of run together. Most of us stay at a different chain, no matter what town we are in, but I personally prefer candlewood over anywhere else I've ever been. There's not a lot worse than being stuck in a tiny hotel room day after day, and there's not a whole lot that can make it better to be honest. But candlewood does a really great job of making the rooms into little apartments. The kitchens are a welcome addition to a work trip, even if I don't plan on actually cooking. Just having the full size refrigerator with a separate freezer to keep things Frozen or refrigerated appropriately, so you don't end up with frozen Cokes or milk and melted ice cream in those little minis. Not to mention it makes leftovers so much better when you can reheat them in a stove or a skillet. This is the first room that I have been in that is actually separate little rooms, most of the time they're just separate areas. Which is fine, don't get me wrong. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled when I walked in and realized I not only had the kitchen that I wanted, but I have a little living room with a sofa and an actual coffee table and a recliner and a TV, and then to top it all off I walked into the bedroom and realize that there's a TV in there too! Having the on-site laundry is something that is a necessity for me, because the less clothes I have to bring, the easier the traveling is. I haven't gone exploring yet, but I was definitely pretty psyched passing the cracker barrel and Bob Evans and Perkins on my way in, not to mention the McDonald's and the pilot that are pretty much all within walking distance. Now all I need is a Walmart or some sort of grocery store to stock my little kitchen for a few days and I will be golden!

Front desk people were very intentive very nice very polite! Rooms are amazing, housekeeping are very personable. I asked for coffee filters yesterday and she brought it as she remembered today and brought them to me! I told her not to worry about them, but she did 😁it's so nice here I don't even want to go home The beds are very comfortable,kitchen's really nice and fully stocked all the way down to silverware I couldn't believe it. I brought paper plates and stuff like that but they had dishes and everything in here!

I was at this hotel for an extended period.
First I would like to say...I was truly impressed by the hospitality I received from a young lady name Janiera. She was extremely nice, kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to see to it that we had everything we needed and to make sure we were okay. We left out... She not only cleaned our room..it smelt good and she done it quickly. The whole time we were there she was the Only one to make sure we were okay. Because of her I rate this hotel a 5. I'm not sure if she will Ever see this but if she does...on behalf of my family and I we want to say thank over and over again!!!! Words can't express how much your kindness and help meant to us at a very difficult time in our lives!!!
Also I would like to thank the young lady at the front desk name Amber for her kindness and and all the help she extended to our family as well. May GOD continue blessing the both of you! Again.. "Thank You"

We will never stay at anywhere but here. My husband’s family lives in the area and we have stayed at another hotel a few times. Since we now have a baby and were brining the dog on this trip, I wanted a bigger room with a kitchen. We paid less for our stay at Candlewood and had a much bigger room and a full size kitchen. The hotel is so nice. Water pressure is amazing. Staff is super friendly. They have everything you could need. This was the best and cheapest hotel we have ever stayed in. Hands down. HIGHLY recommend.

Everything exceeded expectations. I forgot a mini kitchen would be in the room. Plenty of towels, clean bed linens. This trip made me want to book all future stays with Candlewood. They allowed my dog at this location and $75 may be a little steep but your pets are worth it! Loved the little store room for late night snacks and alcoholic beverages as well!

Travel all the time and this has been the best place that I've stayed in this price range. Only 1 drawback - no oven. But it does have stove top burners, and a grill you could use outside on the first floor. Kind of impractical in the winter though. Super nice staff, free amenities (laundry, gym, business center, etc.), nice rooms. A lot better than most chains.

First off let me say this, I have done a ton of travelling from a previous job and stayed in the best of motels and the worst of motels. This is an honest review. I am blown away by this place. Seeing it being 2 stars is surprising. I will attach multiple pictures. Common area equipped with an indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, conference room, free laundry, putting area, grilling area, and more.

The room has a stove, toaster, microwave, all needed utensils, plates, plus you can rent other stuff as well near the lobby.

The hotel is extremely clean, the ladies are the front desk were extremely friendly and welcoming.

If you travel to this area, I highly recommend this hotel!

Pet friendly. Very kind and courteous staff. Great amenities. Full size Refrigerator, laundry room, fitness center, Candlewood Cupboard, outdoor grills, outdoor putting area, pool & hot tub! My kids love this place.

Love, love, LOVE this place. The room was so comfortable and the kitchenette was convenient. Staff was very pleasant. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi was a pleasure. Having a washer and dryer onsite was also convenient and the property is so clean and quiet. I really wanted to take advantage of the grill and movie theater but I didn't have the opportunity but it is there for your use. Just a heads up: they do charge for the grilling utensils but it's not expensive (like 2 dollars). They also have a store type of room that you can purchase things from drinks alcoholic and nonalcoholic, snacks, tv dinners, travel needs, detergent, etc. Those prices too are fair for a hotel. Overall I would suggest this to a friend and hope to stay here again if I'm in town! PS they have happy hour specials in the hotel if you drink
