The Upstairs Catering

I can not express how much we, including my 2yr old son, enjoyed our time last night at The Bar Upstairs. The burger, wrap, and hot peppers were very good but their fries stole the show. They were just perfect and wish I had gotten a pic to share.

The owner and staff were super friendly and attentive. Honestly, if you're looking to try something new I'd suggest giving this place a try.

Lovely white-tablecloth decor, excellent service, diverse and well-prepared dishes, original paintings on the walls. Really enjoyed the evening with our dinner club. Our servers, Christina and Jess, were excellent. The Middle Eastern and seafood dishes were exceptional.

The food here never disappoints and while the service can be spotty sometimes, it hasn't turned us off from coming back. I highly recommend any fish dish that they offer - they simply prepare seafood wonderfully. Their chicken dishes are pretty good as well. I love their scallion rice and their house made desserts are delicious. All in all this is a great place for a great meal!

Great service and good food! We had a pretty large party and was well taken care of! Will be back for sure and order some more of those home made meatballs! Also the ranch is really good as the salad was very fresh! Thanks for making our event so enjoyable!

I cannot say enough good things about Joe and his staff. Joe was hands on in overseeing that everything was exactly where it was supposed to be. We reserved the downstairs hall for my mom's surprise party and it was perfect! At some places, one food item outshines the others. This was NOT the case. Everything was absolutely delicious!! So good that our guests were asking for menus on their way out. I would strongly recommend using them for your next gathering. You can't go wrong with any of their food and the service was top notch!! It says something about a restaurant when the owner and staff are truly sincere in making you feel like you are family. Even though we were a smaller party, they really made us feel like we were their only priority on a Friday night, and dedicated their time to make sure we had everything we needed.

Considering that I have lived in the area my entire life I am wondering how did I not ever eat at this gem that we have?. The staff was as kind as ever for my fiancé’s bridal shower and made it the easiest thing ever. The setup and tear down, the food and beverages were amazing. They even helped her with the unwrapping in like every father in Christmas Day gathering that wrapping paper as soon as one of the children threw it on the ground. The experience that my family had today is exactly why we must continue to support our local establishments

I love this place! I have never had a bad meal nor bad service. The menu is not overwhelming and on Mondays they have a Mediterranean night for something different and special. This place is small enough to where its comfortable but big enough to accommodate a nice crowd. The bar downstairs has a wonderful selection of wines and a relaxed atmosphere. I highly reccomend this place if you're looking for a place to eat.

When we first walked in, I was a little worried because the bartender downstairs was not friendly at all. However, once we went upstairs the owner greeted us and was overwhelmingly accommodating. The waitress was exceptionally kind and gave us a free dessert since we waited a little bit. Honestly the wait wasn’t bad. The food was very delicious!

Wonderful food, great service, and consistent. Recommended if your looking for something on Sunday, call 30 minutes ahead so they can make the product fresh.

We stopped at The Upstairs as we were coming through the area on our way home. What a find for us! I had the Halibut and my husband had the Lamb Chops. All of our food was amazing! Our server Kristine was on point all the way through our experience. We also had the pleasure to meet the owner, Joe while we were enjoying our meal. He was an incredible individual dedicated to his business and customers. We can't wait to come back. ***Matt and Toni***

Wow let me tell you we had the most friendly kind server / bartender from know the menu and making suggestions and let me tell you me drink never ever got close to empty! KATHY you are a rockstar the food was amazing but I would come back to talk to you any day! You made my family feel like tour family you went above and beyond... Hard to beat. Great atmosphere quality, service and consistency. Menu is a great mix of American Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. The owner is almost always their to greet his guests and make sure their happy.

Upscale place. Mediterranean Cuisine. Owner Joe Saadey is an awesome host! I recommend talking to him. They have a grilled cheese sandwich with diced tomatoes and hot peppers that is awesome and quite a deal.

Loved this place. The ambience, staff and menu are on point but the FOOD is where it's at. AMAZING food that makes you want more. We still talk about this place and how it's one of the best meals we ever had. A+++

This is such a wonderful restaurant! We had my sister's rehearsal dinner here last Friday and everything from the atmosphere to the service to the dinner was fantastic. This is THE BEST restaurant in our area!!! Thank you for a memorable evening. ☺

First time eating at the Upstairs and the food and service were great, probably one of the best meals I've had dining out. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend.

Delicious food. Lovely ambience, paintings on the walls by owner's mom are beautiful. Attentive, efficient and friendly waitress made us feel at home.

Always great. One of the best in Youngstown, if not the best. Great selection, good service and the food is cooked to perfection. Never had a bad meal there.

We just had Valentine's Day DINNER there this week.Everything was Great Especially the Filet with portabella mushrooms over Linguine with a Sweet Bourbon glaze .Delicious!!!The owner Joe is gracious to all guests dining there and wants your dining experience to be excellent and it was .Great music too and the ambiance was greatly appreciated for a Wonderful night.
