Gillette Police Department

Was sent here to get a VIN verification from the County Clerks Office and the lady upfront required no paperwork, asked my name, and had my information already done. She said that someone would be dispatched so I should wait in my vehicle so I cracked open a truck magazine and almost immediately a gentleman by the name of Steve came by and verified my VIN and gave me the proper paperwork. He was one of the few former PD, now a citizen Community Service Officer which is an amazing program. It allows sworn officers to do their duties and lets the CSO's handle non-critical functions, such as my VIN check :) Efficiency in it's finest.
My wife and I are waiting for the Coffee With A Cop so we can show our kids the softer side of law enforcement and we have already donated to Shop With A Cop to help locals in the community who are less fortunate purchase items for Christmas.
I've never had the privilege before to live in such an amazing community. My family is very grateful for all the public service offices/workers and the efficiency, kindness, and consideration that they show to the locals. I'm proud to live in this town now. Live in a big city or bounce around with the Army and you'll learn that there are far worse places to be. It's truly amazing here.
