I came for the lobster mac & cheese but they were out so I got a lobster roll & it was so delicious. My husband tried the sloppy salmon & I took a bite, it was delicious as well. Next time I will be getting the sloppy salmon. The cook Miles really did his thing cause he changed my mind about coleslaw never thought I would ever like it but it was amazing on the sloppy salmon. Very cool spot.

The food here is absolutely amazing and the views of the ocean and an occasional dolphin made everything great. I drive a semi and get to go to many Oceanside restaurants and this plus tops them all their Fish and Chips are the best anywhere and priced great.

Amazing location and food! The staff was super friendly, always ensuring we had what we needed! We had the lobster roll, salmon collars, and calamari appetizer along with an oyster/saki shot! Everything was exceptional and we will definitely return next time we are in the area!

We had the fish and shrimp combo, everything was perfect, super tasty, crunchy but still moist inside, cris cut fries were delicious we also ordered the onions rings again super tasty, you could tell the cooking oil was clean.
Great view from the end of the pier.

We have come by quite a few times but this is a first review. Obviously, there is a healthy supply of fish, shrimp and fries to order in various combinations. We mainly do the fish and chips. It's tasty!
The atmosphere can change with the days of the week, especially in summer time. Quite often have even enjoyed a live band on mid-day Sundays there furing Summer.
Expect to wait a little when ordering mid-day on a Summer weekend. But go on a Monday at 4 and nooo problem. They also have his and hers restrooms for customers. Get a token at the counter as they are locked.
The staff. Generally are very friendly! I've read some low reviews here and I don't see those attitudes described, but don't expect alot of chatty when the order line is long. Any mistake with food that has happened to me, and I've had 3 or 4 after this time, is corrected with no attitudes and quickly.
I don't drink these days but the beer sizing looks very large. The food portions are moderate. There often is cookies, ice cream and brownies as treats also available.
It's obviously set on the end of a pier over the ocean, so the sea and sunsets are amazing. I've seen dolphins out there too on occasion. I have a 3 year old I take there for an adventure and fries and it's always a kid friendly view to watch people fishing and people watch in general. Go and try it out. Thumbs up. Ps. I've posted photos of entire menu selection as on 7/31/2023

One of the coolest places in San Diego County and the food is AWESOME! Grab a giant beer and some fish and chips and watch all the fishermen on the pier. We love this place and take all our friends and family when they're visiting!

We were in Imperial Beach for a week, and we didn't realize Tin-Fish was at the end of the Pier until three days into our trip. We LOVE Tin-Fish, and we made sure to plan dinner before we headed home to Arizona. This location is at the end of the pier, and it's a walk, but it's worth watching the random people fishing and the ocean life as your walk to and from the restaurant.
We have been to the Tin-Fish in Oceanside a dozen times when we travel there, and it's, of course, our favorite go-to to eat. Our kids love it, definitely kid friendly.
The burgers are so flipping good!!!

The food is great, and it is made pretty quick. They have some beers on tap and it's just a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. They staff was really cool too and was probably half of the fun for visiting here. Definitely worth stopping by.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner at sunset and we were absolutely satisfied! She had cajun shrimp Mac n cheese which tasted homemade and wonderfully rich. I had the whole Asian fried branzino and it was to die for! The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was out of this world good! Do not miss a chance to eat here and enjoy the beautiful views and delicious food!

Great spot for food on the pier. It was better before they allowed fishermen in the restaurant eating area, but still friendly crew. The Kaboom Shrimp Burrito is good, and you can order 32oz beers!

No.1 Fish and Chips in the world. It was very delicious. Fish and chips was crispy and tender inside. I really enjoy their foods. Lonster roll also amazing. I can’t believe it just $18. Quality was so good. you must try it. For clam chowder, they are making themselves. (Some place use fozen things)

Incredibly grateful I wondered over here after walking a dog with wag! The restaurant is right at the end of imperial beach pier and very fresh delicious food! I got the ahi tuna sandwich which is new on the menu and ughhh 🤤😍 amazing! I’ll be back here for the food and the experience! I watched the sunset and ate food outside. Had a perfect time!

Super friendly folks that are fish and chipping away at the end of the IB Pier. Reasonable prices. Grilled fish options include Halibut and Mahi Mahi. Fish and chips are good. You can sit on a table at the end of the pier and eat your food with 2 islands in the background, San Diego to the north and coastal TJ to the south. Best view in town.

Went here during a wet cold day and this felt like such a safe haven from the beach. Lobster roll was buttery warm and sweet. Lobster was fresh and coming here was such a fun experience.

Awesome spot right down at the end of the pier. This place has great chowder, clam strips, and all the fried seafood basics. The sunsets here can be incredible (though a little breezy so bring a jacket!).

I got the lobster roll and loved it. My toddler loved the fries and red velvet cupcake. The rest of the family enjoyed the fish and huge shrimp. The shrimp was GREAT! The beer was a great price too comparatively. I have the crab cake as well but I guess I'm not really into them. Dont think it's their fault but never had one so not sure .
