Fruita City Police Department

We love Fruita and the PD is a big part of that. They preserve the small town feeling that we moved here for. We feel safe without feeling like we are under a police state. Good job and stay safe out there!

thank you for your help, I'm sorry we had to call call you out for a lose dog issue...we called the number on the tags, a lady answered and told us there was nothing then can do until morning...we called animal control no response...unfortunately we had to calleave the city police department and waste an officers time for a lose dog...sorry but thank for your Service! the officer who responded was very professional...stay safe other there!!

The people in this department are so wonderful! My dogs got out one day and the next day the police department called me to make sure they found their way home. Precious people. God bless.

I’ve had to call twice - once for a hit and run and the other due to a person on drugs trying to get into my house. Both times they’ve been very helpful.

Driving in sleepy Fruita this morning, after stopping and looking both ways, proceeded to cross the intersection in my car and almost got plowed by a Fruita cop going FAST, def not the posted 15mph. Not headed hastily toward a crime scene, no. The cop shop is one block away and it’s almost noon(lunchtime). Then gave us a look like we had done something wrong. That accident would’ve been your fault! Way to represent your city! Your type are the reason people dislike the police. Jerk!

Keystone Kop Academy!!!! Worst police department EVER. Make a complaint? They ignore you. Have an emergency? Well they have to stop at Munchies first. Every single person associated with this "department" is a disgrace to all men and women in blue. I'd give this crap place a negative 100 if I could. Worthless and selfish losers sign up to be a part of the FPD. What happened to Jarod Wright? and all the other losers you employ? Do yourself a favor and don't even spit on the ground in crap town Fruita. But assault and beat the crap out of someone? You're good to go.

The incompetence of the police at this department is beyond me. They are so badly trained that they cannot detect a liar whatsoever! When you have multiple calls about one person and believe that person, you are incapable of being a police officer.

Here is a hint for you..
The more the guilty party talks, the more guilty they are. This is Psychology 101.

Please train your officers on how to detect these people and to care about their jobs.

I have never been treated so badly by law enforcement in my life because they chose to spend 30 minutes listening to a liar..

I will handle my own problems in the future.
