Arguably one of the best camp sites I’ve stayed at. Running water with very clean bathrooms, dumpsters, and best of all an amazing view. Handful of spots still available despite arriving on an August Tuesday night at 8:30pm without a reservation. Fairly good privacy bn campsites although some are more tucked in than others. We stayed in a sprinter van and the ground was very level. One of the most epic drives up to the campsite and made for a perfect place to ride bikes from. $22/night + the park entry fee. Well worth it!!

Classic National Park system campground, with water, restrooms (no showers), no electricity and no dump station. As such, it meets all the expectations. And, as part of the National Park system, you get to be in a place that is magical. This campground sits on top of a mesa with a view down below of the towns of Fruita and Grand Junction, spectacular!! I have been to a lot of NPS campgrounds, but this is really unique because of that. Beautiful place!

So many incredible views and hikes 🤩!
Most decent size camping spots. Mostly smaller campers although we did get our 35' travel trailer in. Good amount of spacing and privacy in the sights.
No power, or sewer. Some water at a spout but not to hook up and fill your tanks.
Bathrooms are very clean and in good condition. No shower. There's a community center in Fruita. And shopping. Water and sewer in Fruita at Welcome center.
Drive very slow as the big horn sheep like to graze and play by the road.
Dog friendly camp but no dogs on trails!

We had a great experience here. The Camp Host allowed us tent campers to move into Loop C so that we didn't have to be bothered by RV campers. The facilities in Loop C were all very clean and well maintained. The Loop was close to a lot of short but great hikes in Colorado National Monument. We went Labor Day weekend and it was super hot and there were not many trees around our site that provided shade-but our site was better than others with the sun beating down. But we had a great time and would highly recommend this Campground.

Beautiful campground. Awesome location right on top of the mesa with amazing views. The monument staff are friendly and there’s a lot to do around. Clean bathrooms and abundant potable water. Might not be the best choice for larger tents (6+ person tents), but for smaller ones works great. Lots of juniper and sagebrush for privacy and a natural feel.

Awesome campground with amazing views and sunsets. The toilets as well as the campsites are cute and clean. The campground site was very quiet at night.

Beautiful! We just camped here one night on the way through. This is such a unique place to camp being on the edge of the cliff. The bathrooms and grounds were clean. Just be sure to bring strong tent spikes because there is a lot of rock!

It's all about the amazing views! Modest amenities but location, 360 views and night sky make this one of the best campgrounds in Colorado

The campsites here are decently sized and include a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Fires aside from the grill and camp stoves are not permitted. There are spickets for drinking water and restrooms with flush toilets. They are spaced in good locations, so no matter where your camp site is, you can get to them pretty fast. There were plenty of camp sites left when we got there and walk ins are allowed. There are some short hikes and the visitor center nearby as well.

What an awesome campground. There’s a lot of ants but they are NOT fire ants. They are leaf cutter ants and we would have saved ourselves a lot of go around if we would have known that. We showed up right when there’s no one on site 5-7 pm. We ultimately moved campsites from loop B to Loop C but we ended up having a better site for our larger sized tent. Leaf cutter ant mounds look menacing but find some sticks/fallen wood and make a border so they don’t go to your campsite. They won’t cross the wood. Loop C (I think 74C) was walkable distance to the outlook. Nice bathrooms with flush toilets (no showers) and our site had a family bathroom which was great with kids. The ranger at the station and the camp host were incredibly nice and helpful. 41B site was right next to bathrooms but it wasn’t a great size for our bigger tent. Call and ask them which site would be best for whatever you’re camping in - they can all vary.

Beautiful and well maintained sites. Very clean restroom. Some sites are VERY private and allow you to camp further away from the road among the trees and rocks. We were in 43 and it was an epic site!

Colorado National Monument Park, a hidden treasure and underrated beauty. No reservations needed to enter the park, along the 20-mile scennic drive , there are many stops to park and enjoy the views. Many short easy trails along the drive and near campground.
Well maintained saddlehorn campground has 80+ campsites can be RVs, trailers and tents, so you can wake up with breathtaking views. Also it only 8 miles from Fruita, a good size town. campground and the most of 20 miles' drive have good cell phone and internet receptions.

Very nice campground. Only loop A was open at the moment. We had site 10 and it had a nice view. Facilities are nice as well - flush toilets and two sinks with running water. Great place to see the stars and a beautiful sunset and sunrise.

What a wonderful campground! Coming off of a 2 month road trip, I felt I had seen enough campgrounds to post a few reviews of my favorites and my not so favorites. This one is definitely a fave. High elevation, so be wary of the possible wind, but overall such a great location. Bathrooms are so clean, featuring running water! Flushing toilets! All the loops are nice, we chose a spot in A loop that had level ground. Plus, window rock trail is just around the bend, which offers a truly amazing view of the canyon. Be sure to stay here if you get the chance!

This campground is a little piece of heaven! Beautiful breathing views! It was a little windy at night and it felt like God himself was gently rocking me to sleep in the RV. Very well maintained and even has a visitor center with so much information about this park! Good hiking trails and rock climbing! You will feel like you can just reach out and touch the hand of God!! This is one of the many perfect places made by God!

Gorgeous location on the mountain! Breathtaking views! The dirt is red and soft to your feet, but there are lots of rocks. A park ranger came to tell us about a talk they were holding to learn about a tree that grows there. Clean bathrooms with just toilets and sinks. Know that you drive up one of those mountainside roads to get up there, if you're hesitant on mountain roads, but it seems like a well maintained road.

We booked this campground really late notice and were pleasantly surprised at the quality. Nice bathrooms. Large tent campsites. Nice parking. Awesome views. the drive up is a bit scary but worth it! I would recommend and go again.

This was a great stop - close to the highway, clean bathrooms, and an incredibly friendly and helpful camp host. Quiet / generator hours were respected which was so nice after a long day of travel.

This place is worth staying at with flushing toilets and and sinks, clean grounds and bathrooms, spectacular views. A short drive to utah as well. We stayed 2 nights and host were friendly. Wildfire burning in distance so ash was falling from the sky and smoke was thick. The landscape is stunning. You can walk from the campsite to overlooks and drive to all the lookouts. Saw plenty of bighorn sheep.
