Fruita Community Center

Clean facility, lots of affordable activities and classes for all ages. We love having the rec center to supplement our homeschool curriculum with swimming, basketball, art, and more. The staff and instructors have always been helpful and friendly.

Fun and neat place! The outdoor pool closed earlier than the inside but that only bothered our daughter for like 3 mins haha wish it was open later due to work schedules.. But very awesome!! The lazy river was great, small but fun! Plenty of stuff for little ones to play with. Worth every penny spent! Could use personal changing rooms though.

MAD Racing Colorado had a great experience providing the registration and timing for the 11th Annual Sweet Heart 5K/10K Run at the Fruita Community and Recreation Center this past weekend. What a fanstastic event and no better venue than the Fruita Community Center. We had a ton of support from the staff and volunteers, the grounds were immaculate, and there was plenty of space for the crowds we drew this year. We're looking forward to the Sweet Heart 5K/10K in 2019!

A beautiful clean facility with lots of activities to do just about any time. Very nice swimming pool with climbing wall and slide. Two full indoor basketball courts. Indoor track. Full service gym mostly and a great value for the day fee charged. Staff is helpful and care about the guest experience.

We decided to come here when our hotel pool was freezing and our kiddos were sad. It wasn’t terribly priced for non residents. I think we paid about $20 for two adults and two kids. Nice locker rooms and they had several great family changing rooms which we loved. Pool was heated and had large wade in pool. Some sprayers and splashers for little kids. Our favorite was the lazy River with a whirlpool in the center of it!! We stayed there for a couple hours. Lots of life guards on duty. Deeper side, diving board, water slide, and hot tub for older kids and adults. We were incredibly impressed with this place. Check pool hours before going. They closed at 4:30 I believe.

We LOVE this community center! It's new, it's clean, and the staff are all friendly. Kimber is our favorite because she knows and chats with us--and everyone else. :)

I'm also impressed by how well-kept everything is, from the gym to the pool. It's not easy to manage aquatics like that, and the lifeguards are some of the most attentive I've ever known (and I have worked in many recreational settings).

My son takes private swim lessons with Rhianna and he has made so much progress. She is friendly and encouraging. Best of all she takes the time to actually teach him the strokes and proper breathing. She also pushes him to work hard and swim the whole time without making it too difficult or frustrating. She is great!

First time being there with my teenage boys and infant. Wonderful price for a full day of activities! Basketball court was beautiful and pool was wonderful! Great place for fun for all ages! So excited its up and running again post COVID.

The pool facilities are excellent.
Suggestion: The landing area for the indoor water slide should be roped off, and riders should be instructed to leave the landing area immediately upon landing.
This is to prevent severe neck injuries.

Very nice basketball court with a track upstairs for running. The gym is on the smaller side, but not inconvenient in any way. On Sundays they close off half of the basketball court and put up a volleyball net. It's really cool to see that they cater to multiple sports, not just basketball. Great place to work out and have fun!

My children look forward to visiting the community center several times a week because of the wide variety of offerings available. The staff is friendly and the location is clean and safe. Parking lot is well lit and frequented which makes it feel secure to those who go to the Rec alone. It's convenient in that it's. situation in the middle of Fruita neighborhoods and in walking distance for a lot of people who enjoy activity.

This is by far the best indoor pool on the Western Slope. Kimber is so friendly! The daycare is excellent, as is the gym. Such a great community center!

Nice indoor and outdoor pool areas. Large hot tub. Big kid short water slide with steep drop into the deep end and climbing wall in the same area. Mesa County Library branch. Nice basketball gym area. Nice workout area.

Library and Rec center combined. Facilities are always clean and tidy. Pool is nice size, with hot tub, children's splash/shallow area, and lazy river. Outdoor pool in summer, basketball court, weight area and rentable rooms for parties and or other gatherings.

I am shocked by the quality of community centers in Colorado! This place has so much to offer!! The pools and hot tub alone make membership worth it but the overall quality of workout gear, library, and activities makes it a steal.

I just wish they would put closed captioning in the TV's by the treadmills. Other than that, this place is a 10 out of 10!

This is a great place to come and work out or swim with the family. They have an in pool climbing wall, diving board, and a water slide, both in the deep end, and a lazy river setup in the shallow party of the pool. There's is also an outdoor pool with diving board. The gun is usually not too busy, and there is a library branch in the building as well.

Fun place with a lot of activities. Library, fitness center with indoor track, indoor and out door pools. In door pool has diving boards, climbing wall in deep area, lap lane, Nice kid area with multiple interactive activities, and large hot tub. Laid back life guards. Beautiful location.

The best and only recreation center in Mesa County. The ignorant people in the city of Grand Junction waste our tax payer dollars on a convention center used only for a few meetings for the rich and non profit organizations that are well established. It has been a money pit since the beginning. SO THANK GOD FRUITA HAS INTELLIGENCE . I LOVE THE FRUITA RECREATIONAL CENTER. THIS CENTER IS FANTASTIC AND UP TO DATE STATE OF THE ART COMMUNITY CENTER.

So much fun for both kids and adults. It's affordable as well. We have only used the pool so far, but it's a great pool. Always an enjoyable time!
