Park is very beautiful and well maintained. Campground is clean and pleasant, views are great. We had site #15, a lakefront pull through site that fit our 40’ fifth wheel easily. Love the natural surroundings and everything here, two days is just too short.

We did Day Use and had a blast! It was cold and windy but had fun kayaking and chilling. We would definitely come back with warmer weather. It was well maintained and everything was beautiful!

Love this place.
Amazing disc golf course.
Lots of walking trails.
Viewing decks that look over the lake with a scope.
Tent and RV camping spots with showers.
Boat ramp with a dock.
Plenty of restrooms, parking, pavilions, picnic tables and waste cans.
All with a low cost entry.
Can't really say enough good things about this place.

Some of the pics uploaded are of the Snake River right below the dam.

Our favorite times to come are in the spring when the fish are spawning. We have actually seen 39 different kinds of bird in a five day stay.
In the fall we try to come when the middle school kids run cross country. We love encouraging them and give the support along the way.

My photo interests are not typical, as I cherish little noticed out of the way sights.

This was our second camping trip to this nice spot. We saw many deer, geese, ducks, and herons. Paved walking paths, frisbee golf, and views of the lake are our favorite things about camping here.

Beautiful spot to go fish. Walk. Grill up some hot dogs with the family. First time fishing was a success.

There's something great about every State Park... Lake Walcott has several, lots of wild life, walking trails, clean restrooms. I walked around after dark with my head lamp and found lots of active raccoons. (Bring bug repellent) I went in the end of July and the mosquitoes were relentless.

Just looking for a place to camp on the way back home from Tetons/Yellowstone. Passed through rustic towns 18miles off the highway, expecting a lackluster spot. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Warm lake with wildlife and excellent camping spots on the shore. Ancient lava flows around the shore to jump into the lake from. Wish I brought my kayak! Bring bug repellent and enjoy this oasis!!

Beautiful area, it is well maintained and managed. We will definitely go back again. The back road to get there is not actually a road, and if you don't have an overland
vehicle then use the freeway.

Great camping spot. Showers are warm and clean. Flushing toilets. Lots of bugs, but not many mosquitoes. Bring essential oil bug repellant. And waterproof ear plugs for swimming.

We were here in late September. This place is great! They have nice lawns, the camping spots aren't very private but they're nice as well. We rented the 2 cabins they have available. You have to bring your own bedding, and I suggest plenty of padding as the beds are very hard. We had a great time and are planning our next trip already.

So far this is one of the most beautiful state parks we have visited. Perfect grass, perfectly clean and tidy, no trash lying around and the most helpful accommodating staff that you could wish for.
Thanks Ryan, you made our day!

Wonderful park for a walk or picnic during a day trip and also always a wonderful place to camp and stay. Amazing scenery along the many walk ways, see Mt Harrison in the back ground, along with beautiful views of the lake and wild life. It’s pet and children friendly and also is handicap friendly, if you want to enjoy the views from your mobility cart along their many paved trails and look out areas.

Love it here! Terrific walking/biking paths. Good fishing plus a nice swimming area. We had a lovely shady camp spot. Watch out for the racoons! They are brave little things, they can open your coolers and steal your food and make a mess.

Great place to come for a day or camp for the night. Entrance fee is $7 a day, but you can buy a state pass for 10. Lots of picnic areas, a Frisbee golf course, boat launches, and play areas.

Great location, good fishing. LOTS and LOTS of raccoons. Do NOT leave your stuff unattended as the trash pandas will steal it, even if you are a few feet away. They climbed on the table and stole the season salt while we were sitting around the fire.
