Cloverleaf Campground

Great campground..nice paved spots spaced enough to give privacy. Fairly easy to maneuver in though larger rigs may find some places tight. I was there a week and it was mostly empty except for the weekend when every spot was taken. It seems that lots of people come for the weekends and stay here while going to Bear Lake for the day. It's a mix of reservable and first come sites. Lots of water spouts to get drinking water but only one bathroom which wasn't a problem till the weekend when the campground was full...too many people for a single toilet for the men though the women's side had two. The host, who wasn't on site did a big cleaning after the weekend crew and it was stocked well the rest of the time. Quiet campground and peaceful, at least in my experience. No cell reception in the area. Access to streams and hiking right from the campground. Garbage is located on the road leading up to several of the campgrounds but was over full and in need of emptying. Overall a great place to stay @ $20 a night if you are in the area.

Cloverleaf CG is up the canyon from St Charles Idaho. About two miles from the Minnetonka cave. It has about 15 sites. #13 is in the middle but has good shade. The is no water in the campsites but placed throughout the camp. Bath rooms are flush toilets. About half of the sites are reserveable the others are 1st come 1st served. Sites filled up early Thursday morning.

Quietly nestled in the South For St Charles Creek in the Cache National Forest, this campground is perfect to get away from the busy lives we lead and unplug. The campsite are primative, with padded lots for trailers or small RVs, and tent sites right close by. There is water available at a central location right off the main road (that runs like a figure 8 through the campground) and a men/women restrooms with toilets, urinal and sink. Each campsite had a nice picnic table and fire ring. This fork of the St Charles Creek is cold! The water is fast moving and pretty Rocky, so you'll want to keep an eye on young children. With this campground just minutes down the road from Minnetonka Cave and not far from Bear Lake, it's a really hidden gem of Southeast Idaho. Be careful on the road that turns off of Hwy 89. There open grazing cattle through a section of the road in the national forest. This is a canine you'll want to visit over and over again! With the dappling of aspens, it's sure to be a beautiful spot in Autumn's glory.

Great ice cream and just excellent service. Exceptional effort was made to avoid food allergies. Probably the friendliest service we have experienced.

I hesitate to say how awesome this campground is because I like the quiet solitude.

Beautiful site, one of the closest public campgrounds to the lake that I'm am aware of.
