Came here on a Sunday morning and we were the only ones here. Yes, there is construction, happening but NO ONE was there. If you want to avoid big crowds and sharing space with other people, this is the worth the extra drive. It’s on the border of Idaho and Utah, on the Utah side. I stayed for about 4 hours at the end around 3 PM there were 2 other groups but plenty of space cause we were all spread out. Dog friendly. Toddler friendly. It is a short walk to the beach from the parking lot and rocky so might need sandals to get there. There are shaded picnic tables and non shaded picnic tables right on the water.

It will be close Monday Evening for the Season. It's going to have a face lift, open up more space for the 2021 Season.

Area is under construction as of 6/20/22. New day use open for visitors. Beach grooming in progress to get rocks off beach. Nice new facility once construction is complete with full RV hookups. 9/1/22 - still under construction. Day use is open, pay fee at red iron ranger. Park rangers tour from time to time and check on vehicles. Citations cost more than the fee - food for thought.

Favorite spot been here multiple times for camping or just a day trip. I do wish the beach had less trees and brush but still worth the trip.

It's a bit out of the way, the wife and I stumbled across this place while circumnavigating Bear Lake. There was only one family here, compared to the other campgrounds which were completely packed, which, for me at least is good as I don't like large crowds of ppl around. There isn't anything for amenities here, it's just a place to park your RV or pitch your tents, so you'll want to bring everything you need with you and you'll need to be careful of the Private Property line at the beach, which is right against the Campground, with only a single sign to provide notice.
