8-10 Sep 2023. Great campground. Loved camping among the trees. Lake was beautiful. We had a very nice time. Bonus being having AT&T signal. We highly recommend.

I called the Forest Service before going the weekend before Memorial Day - they said they had just opened the campground. When we got there, it was empty, quiet, and peaceful. A lot of nice looking sites waiting for the crowd to come. For our weekend there, I saw 3 other campers in the entire place.
Caught 2 nice rainbows of the end of the boat put-in and enjoyed watching the Bald Eagles. They perched in the trees just a few hundred feet from our campsite.
The Forest Service guy, Tim, was extremely helpful and wanted to make sure we were having a 5-Star experience there. He gave us a few good tips about the area. Tim seems to love his job so much - they should give him a Badge to wear.
Highly recommend. At least when there aren't any other campers around!!

Each campsite has it's own parking, picnic table, fire pit and tent pad. There are 3 loops A B and C. If you don't have an access pass the camping costs $15.00 a day with the pass half price. There is also bathrooms trash cans which are 🐻 proof. Yes I said bears. So far no sign of any. A water spicket is also on the grounds as well. The water is pretty good. There is also a boat launch on site. So if you don't mind the few wild critters you do see this is the place to camp. It is between Anaconda and Phillipsburg off of highway 1.

Bill, Debbie and little bit were the best! They had passion for what they were doing and were so gracious with there time. I am so thankful for the 9 days we got to spend with them. My family and I have been coming the same week for 18 years and he made sure all of us were taken care of. Thank you for being there!

Pay site run by Big Sky Recreation under the USFS during the summer. Nice campground with lots of trees and a boat ramp on Georgetown Lake.

Great location. There's lots of trees, you are close to the water and it's clean. We saw a moose in camp. There's not great beach access for fishing within walking distance but there is some a short drive away. It would be great for any kind of boating/ water activities.

We reserved a spot in loop C which is the only reserveable loop. Most all the sites are good for tents, and the whole campground is great for RVs. There's a boat ramp and easy access to the lake. They have firewood for sale, $5 a bundle. The pit toilets are clean. The water is the pump style, but it comes fast. It's really beautifully wooded. The generator noise gets to be a bit much, but there are quite hours so you can sleep. I'd go back for sure!

Beautiful campground! Lots of trees and shade! Perfect for multiple families wanting to camp next to each other! The only problem that we had was there wasn't any dump stations at the campground... There were lots of wildlife including 4 moose that came right up to our campfire one night!

Honestly one of the better public campgrounds I've stayed at. Plenty of dead fall to keep a fire going, pretty well spread out so you don't have to worry about hearing your neighbors' conversations, and lots of wildlife. Had 3 moose near our campground over Memorial Day weekend, not danger close but it drew a crowd and it was nice to see people respecting the wildlife. If you have a dog that loves chasing rodents, keep them leashed up, there were dozens of prairie dogs in the northern corner. Don't have a boat but people were out fishing this part of the lake and said it was okay, not bad but other parts of the lake were better. Sites are in the trees so cover isn't a concern, water taps are always nearby and the toilets stay clean. Had a really nice conversation with the camp manager, Red I believe, he genuinely cares about the campground and we talked about the other places he's managed. Highly recommend staying here instead of the other options at Georgetown Lake.

Im a visitor of Montana and experienced my first camping trip here. The campground is clean and gorgeous. The hosts, Bill and Debbie are the best part of the camp ground however, and accomodated myself and my partner so willingly. They are lovely people and I will return next time.

The campground is very clean and well kept. The camp host named Tim was from the blue ridge mountain area and a very nice and pleasant man . He would come around the campground several times a day checking on restrooms and campers. I would recommend this beautiful place to anybody.

Great VZ cell service, and yet the joy of camping in the pines. Wholesome family camping all around us. With our Senior Park Pass, it's only $7.50 per night. Water available. Vault toilets (we have a motorhome with indoor plumbing!). Nice hosts.

Beautiful, well shaded campground! We saw 2 moose and a deer in the water while fishing. Clean restrooms and happy with the site also. Will be back!
