Iris Inn & Cabins

My wife and I spent two days in the cabins. We had an amazing time with great views. Very private, quiet and relaxing. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We chose the three course meal and it was delicious, we left very satisfied having to take our desert to the room to eat later. The breakfasts were very good as well. I would recommend the Iris Inn for a romantic getaway.

Oh, how we miss Cabin 3 at the Iris Inn! What a spectacular place to stay. We recommend the dining room, too. Based on other reviews, we were unsure about having dinner on-site, but we are glad we did. The service and the food were outstanding, and they accommodated my vegetarian request. The only problem was that the soup came out warm and not hot. We said something, and they were apologetic and quick to fix the problem. Our server let us know when the sun was going down, which was beautiful to see.

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend in one of the cabins. The cabin was beautiful and had the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the bed was super comfy. The staff was friendly. The drinks were a little pricey, but dinner was awesome. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a short getaway near the skyline drive so we could do some hiking and have a nice place to come back to... we could not have chosen a better place. The Iris Inn exceeded our expectations. Cathie greeted us when we walked through the door of the inn and made us feel welcomed right away. We stayed in the Deer Room, and it was perfect... comfortable bed, a great shower, and plenty of room for the two of us. We were fortunate to make dinner reservations. Cathie made us some old fashions, and we sat down to a delicious 3 course meal. The Filet and salmon were fantastic. It was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The small plate breakfast each morning was also delicious. We highly recommend the Iris Inn for a place to relax and be pampered. We will definitely return in a warmer season to enjoy the porch.

An absolute gem! This was by far the best trip my husband and I have ever been on. We came for the views and relaxation (which was even better than expected), but will be back annually due to the world class hospitality of the inn staff. The personalization in the service and the attention to detail to anticipate our needs was the best we’ve ever experienced and resulted in much needed rest and rejuvenation. It was just what a momma with 3 young ones needed! Thank you so much, Iris Inn! We cannot wait to make this a yearly trip!

My husband and I had a great time, it was the perfect little getaway for my birthday. Their costumer service was amazing, due to the cold day they delivered breakfast to our room and it was delicious. Only sad part about it was leaving but we will definetely be back.

This was our second time staying in a cabin. I absolutely love this inn! My hubbie and I stay at B&Bs often and this is our fav esp in VA! I cannot wait to come back. We stayed over turkey day to have some alone time and loved it. Breakfast is always amazing. Chef makes delicious desserts too! The hot tubs are so nice and private. Romantic cabin and overall the inn is so pretty. I loved fireplace as well. I feel so insanely relaxed here i hate leaving! Ms.Coo Is the inn cat and as animal lovers we get excited to see her too! Awesome trip, we have really enjoyed the Iris Inn!!! We decided to spend our time just enjoying the property which is centered around relaxation and connecting as a couple. We absolutely love it here and can't wait for our next visit!!

This is my husbands and I fourth trip to the Iris Inn and we absolutely love it. The atmosphere is relaxing and the views are breathtaking. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We did the prefixed four and five course dinner at the inn and the food was simply amazing! Kathy, one of the inn keepers is so friendly and even gave us an opportunity to see a breathtaking sun sent during dinner. The rooms in the main inn are gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The room we stayed in, had a door that lead right out to the deck which overlooks the mountains. We will for sure be visiting again!

A celebratory weekend at Iris Inn is food for the mind, mouth, and spirit. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and were most excited about the proximity to Shenandoah's southern entrance. The service and attention to detail at Iris Inn was simply outstanding. The innkeeper accommodated a last minute request to add their hiking package to our stay, and with the heat this weekend, we needed every one of those treats. Breakfast was filling, varied, and delicious, and happy hour was great to boot. We look forward to coming back someday.

AMAZING. My wife and I have been fortunate enough to travel many places in-state, in the country, and in the world. Little did I know that ALL of the wonderful places we have visited would be topped by a luxurious quaint property only 30 minutes from our home. To say we have a high bar when it comes to getaways and experiences is an understatement. In absolutely EVERY way our expectations were exceeded during our two day stay in Cabin #6. THE CABIN. A high-end experience. THE DINING. Folks--as good as the cabin was, I was probably most blown away by the dining. 5 course menu was as good as any place you have ever been. Unique but familiar, each dish was prepared and served hot and right after the other (how they did this I do not know!) by our amazing server and innkeeper Cathy. She did an amazing job it is to be noted! Probably a bigger surprise than the dinner was the breakfast. My wife and I decided that the two days of breakfast at the Iris was better than any we had had before. EVER. A fantastic stay and a gem--right in the Shenandoah Valley. We have decided this will be our spot for Anniversaries--we will come back again and again. It is not inexpensive---but offers amazing value if you are looking for a top notch experience and getaway to rival anywhere in the world. Well done Iris Inn!!

Our stay at Iris Inn was perfect! The owner/manager were so pleasant and helpful before, during, and after our stay. We wanted the privacy of a Airbnb with the perks of a luxury hotel and we felt this was exactly what we got at Iris Inn.

We chose Cabin #5 and loved the quiet and privacy the wooded setting provided. The screened in porch and the hot tub area were exactly what we hoped for! We absolutely loved the rocking chairs and the table on the screened porch. (The manager even shared a link for similar ones for our porch at home after we left!) We visited in the summer and found the the trees do block out a lot of the sunset view, but it can easily be seen from one of the Iris Inn's many decks or chairs around the fire pits.

Our cabin was immaculately clean. I’m very picky and found the indoor and outdoor spaces to be impeccable. There were so many well thought out features for comfort and utility - plenty of glassware options, bedside reading lamps, dimmable recessed lighting, floor-to-ceiling blinds, heated bathroom floors, exterior sliding door from the hot tub right into the rain shower, super soft linens, remote-controlled heating/air (yes you can change the room temp from bed!) and so many more.

We will 100% be back and are already looking at our calendar to try to plan a long weekend this fall. Thanks to everyone at Iris Inn for the wonderful stay!

This is a place you want to tell everyone about but yet want to keep all to yourself. We celebrated a wedding anniversary with a stay at The Iris Inn. The cabins are beautiful, contemporary, well appointed and functional. The kitchen has everything you could need for light meal preparation. We ordered breakfast that was delivered to our door when we requested. There was so much food we couldn't finish it! The bed / linens were very comfortable. The hot tub on the screened in porch was such a treat and the thoughtful design of having a door into the shower from the hot tub area was appreciated. The heated bathroom floor is a nice touch and even though it wasn't cold it was still wonderful to step on. The staff checked in daily to see if we needed anything. The Iris Inn is a special place and we definitely plan to return.

My husband and I just come home from an amazing birthday weekend at the Iris Inn and Cabins. I don't even know where to start! First of all the staff was so friendly and welcoming! I mean 5 star service from the very start! No joke they called me (I believe her name was Cathy, I hope I got it right because she's great!) before we even arrived to make sure we received the information for check in and to inform us that it was going to be a cold night and things we can do to help with that! I know right?! We stayed in one of the Cabins and it exceeded all our expectations! It was just as pictured but even more beautiful in person. The service to the views and all the amenities we had a great time!! I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant but I will on our next trip! We are already planning to go back in May for my husband birthday!

We had a wonderful experience at the Iris inn! Such a lovely hidden gem overlooking the Shenandoah valley with beautiful sunsets and evening fire pit fun! The rooms are clean, modern and beautifully decorated.
What a perfect relaxing stay during our week long motorcycle trip with some friends! From the moment we arrived, Kathy made us feel welcome and right at home! She and the rest of the staff were so attentive and accommodating. The bed and breakfast package was such a perfect addition, it made our stay even more enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a romantic getaway, or a weekend away with friends or family.

My husband and I spent my birthday at the Iris Inn and it was fantastic! The views were awesome and it's so quiet and serene that we felt like we had the place to ourselves! The cabin was perfectly clean and the hot tub was a nice activity on a cold night. We had a great time and will definitely be back. We think returning when it snows will be awesome to hang in the hot tub and surrounded with the peaceful snow falling around us will be epic! Thanks for the hospitality! See you again soon.

My wife and I rented cabin 4. The view was wonderful and we got our money's worth out of the private hot tub. The cabin felt updated and modern. The hot tub area has a door that leads into the rain shower, which leads to the heated-floor bathroom. The Inn Keeper checked on us often (but not too often) and that added a nice touch.

My two tips: (1) spend a sunset at one of the fireplaces behind the cabins (one is wood burning and the other is propane) and (2) order cocktails in the lobby and take the tray they hand you up the staircase on the side of the building to the lookout tower.

My wife and I had such an amazing stay at Iris Inn. The staff is very attentive and so welcoming. The entire experience was personalized and we felt like we were at home. The cabin we stayed in was very modern, beautiful, and so comfortable. Everything offered on the menu is delicious and the chef is amazing. Don't forget to book a massage while you're staying. She took away years of built up tension from both of us. This was our first stay and definitely will not be our last!

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff is very attentive and so welcoming especially Cathie and the charming resident cat name Miss Coo. I think this is now our new favorite get-a-way location in the Shenandoah! We stayed in the Deer Room, very clean and beautiful view. Also, the bed was so comfortable! We opted in for the B&B package which serves delicious breakfast every day. We recommend Iris Inn to couples, families and friends get-a-way.
