Tiffany was nothing short of amazing helping my family with my grandfather's passing. She goes above and beyond to be kind & courteous during one of the hardest times. The grounds on my visits have always been clean and respectful.

Tiffany has been amazing. The grounds look beautiful, her input and suggestions were much appreciated. She did such a beautiful job on the bookmarks of our loved ones. I so appreciate her kindness, and thoughtfulness during such a sad time for our family.

My stepmother was buried there last month next to my father who had been interred in 1991. I did not make the arrangements either time, but both occasions went smoothly. The cemetery looked well-maintained for a cold January day.

My husbands father, mother and brother are buried here and they have managed to over charge mismanage, lose photos, cause damage to existing stones and in general cause more heartache then I could believe possible. We had to deal with them because family members had prepurchased plots. Last funeral they charged $500 extra to be buried on a Saturday and damaged a stone while doing it, said were not responsible, blamed animals when stone was whole the day before.

My husband and I buried both of his parents at Augusta Memorial Park. The memorial park itself is truly in a beautiful location, situated on a quiet country road and surrounded by idyllic pastures. When my father-in-law passed away in 2008, my mother-in-law purchased plots for both her husband and herself. The result was that my husband and I were forced to be subjected to the same callous treatment by the staff when she passed away in 2013.

The office assistant was abrupt, rude, and completely unprofessional. However, her demeanor of hostility did manage to soften to indifference upon hearing of our loss. Later, when I called with follow-up questions, she was unable or unwilling to answer a single one of them. When I asked to speak with the manager, the phone was abruptly disconnected.

The other members of the staff were tolerable enough, but far too concerned with turning a profit. They attempted to sell us unneeded and unwanted memorabilia at a time when all we wanted to do was survive the day. False notes of care and concern rang in their voices, as they attempted to maneuver us into providing them with the names and contact information of friends and family for marketing purposes. Through the guise of providing us with a funeral guest book and sending our guests sympathy cards and maps of the cemetery, they shrewdly attempted collect an ever-widening pool of potential clients. This was a crafty business maneuver, geared toward preying upon victims in a moment of vulnerability.

Thankfully, the grounds are maintained and manicured well enough—certainly better than Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro. However, my mother-in-law passed away in November and, now in March, the mud from where her grave was dug has yet to be cleaned off of the headstone. Dead flowers are only removed from vases twice a year, which means they remain an eyesore the other 10 months of the year. The American flag that sits atop the hill in a crumbling base is tattered and faded, looking quite battle fatigued. I put in a maintenance request with the grounds-keeping crew and will be pleasantly surprised if it yields any positive results.

Augusta Memorial Park is currently owned by Cornerstone Family Services LLC in Pennsylvania. According to online reports, the company has an average yearly income of $75 million. Therefore, one would think that they could afford to keep the memorial park grounds in immaculate condition and hire professional staff capable of effectively maintaining an air empathy with the grieving.

It's so sad to see how the grounds are cared for. I have many family members buried there and you cant even see most of the stones because of the grass (green and dried cut grasses) covering everything. Very disappointing!

To whom it may concern ,
To start this off this is NOT the first time this has happened….. This cemetery is by far pathetic, the staff of the cemetery makes the whole place look bad , the actions of the staff is by far the worse. I never thought that with my family being laid to rest that they would be disturbed, some one from this site has decided to continue to remove my deceased families possessions from their grave sites and think that it is ok, it’s definitely NOT ok , my family is not here to defend them selves but I am and will defended them till the death of me and it’s a shame my family don’t haunt y’all everyday for everything you have removed from them that means something to us! You are a poor excuse of a human being , if I could dig my family up and move them I definitely would do so , that way they could be at peace. I pray that this cemetery can be snatched away by new ownership immediately to prevent buzzards like you all from stealing from the deceased with that being said may god reach out and touch each of you . Attached is a photo of ALL the flowers they have decided to remove from people’s loved ones for no reason what so ever , saying that it’s for clean up and if that was the case they wouldn’t pick certain grave sites to remove them from and would just remove them from EVERY grave site in this park . My skin CRAWLS at the site of this happening and is a disgrace , very disturbing to me and my family and to several other families as well.

We went to visit my husband's family members and friends who are burried there. We were extremely upset at how dirty the grounds were. The white marble statues are covered in black. The cement walkways and steps are disgusting. There is moss and mold growing on mausoleums! People's loved ones don't want to spend eternity in filth. It's extremely disrespectful.

When my husband and I pass, we want to be with family, but this is not a place we want to give thousands of dollars to. They need to take better care of this place.

This is the most disgusting place to get things done. So many misconducts and no one wanting to step up and take responsibility for their mistakes...Taking advantage of people while they grieve is the lowest you will ever get..i tjinknitsctimecthis facility needs to be looked into. .
