The Tuscan Italian Grill

Stopped for dinner with my friend who visited me from Florence Italy. I asked him to order the dishes for us since he is from Tuscani area. He ordered three which meant to be comfort food for Italians according to him and we both really enjoyed every single dish we had. They do not serve alcohol but our server was very friendly and attentive.

Quiet and relaxing. The food was delicious and hot. Excellent wait staff and the price was good for the amount of food served.

The Gyro was to die for and the grilled chicken salad was amazing also. We had Savannah B. as our server for lunch and she was super sweet, quick, & informative. Thank you, Savannah! We loved the atmosphere, food, and service :) 10/10 recommend!

This is one of the nicest, well managed, & maintained restaurants we have in town. The food is delicious. The prices are a little high but that’s just the cost of eating out at a decent restaurant these days, it’s definitely worth the money & they do give you nice portion sizes. The owner & his wife Jessica are super nice people who take pride in their business from the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere they ensure a great, & consistent experience every time you visit. Can't get much better Italian in a small town. Homemade pasta and great sauces. They offer traditional appetizers, and a few unique ones. Clean. Friendly service. I recommend

would have never imagined a real Italian restaurant here and WoW, what a unexpected treat. Clean, waitress perfect service, food tasty and well done, Would be happy to return if I'm ever out this ways again. My only possible complaint is the price - basically you are going to spend a minimum of $25 a person dor dinner - that's like 2 hours average pay around here, so I guess they just survive off of passers-thru

The place is immaculately kept, the staff were friendly as you'd expect from Altavista. Whoever remodeled the place has great tastes. I ordered the chicken carbonara, it was delicious. They were out of marsala wine, so I couldn't try the chicken marsala. But that just gives me a reason to go back. Also saw they have a buffet for lunch. Definitely gonna have to go for that as well.

Good quality food, good service, don't miss this small town in VA.

Nice surprise! Husband loved the lobster ravioli!! He couldn't say enough about it! Salad was fresh and crisp. Meat lovers lasagna had PLENTY of meat. Service was a little slow but management provided plenty of notice on the door regarding staffing issues. Will add this place to our "go to" when we're traveling in the area.

From beginning to end dining there was a very pleasant experience . The pretty young girl who took us to a table and took the order did a great job !! The food was excellent !! Service was awesome !!!! I will go back , soon as possible .

I was shockingly surprised being in such a small town as Altavista the food was amazing. The buffet was also clean, I noticed how the servers always checked the buffet when they passed by. The service was excellent, my server was on point with my food and drinks. She was very friendly but not overly friendly. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was clean as well. I’d recommend Tuscan Italian Grill to anyone and I’m a very picky person.

Delicious! They were very busy with take out orders so when we sat down we waited several long minutes (with fidgety and fussy children), but our waiter came over after a while, was very apologetic, explained what's going on, and was perfect the rest of the night on. Excellent, fresh food! We found it as we were traveling back home from visiting family. If we are ever back and the timing works with our traveling, we will definitely be back! Very reasonably priced too. Hope they can keep it that way because the table near us got up and left...dined and left as they say. Took advantage of the busy-ness.

Wow! This is a lunch buffet. The fettuccine Alfredo was quite simply the best I have ever eaten! It is rich, with layered levels of flavor. Absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed the pizza as well. Want impressed with the spaghetti with meat sauce. This is definitely a place I'll visit again...soon!

Great food and service. Private room is awesome for group's. Family photos were great in front of the fireplace.

Had a surprise birthday party for my brother in law. The waitress was awesome!! We had great buffet that the chicken alfredo was the creamiest alfredo I've ever had! Great time good food

Tuscan catered an event I attended last night and everyone raved about how excellent the food, service, homemade lemonade, and dessert tasted. No one left hungry, and some even left a bit over filled due to how delicious the food was. They provided a class A dinner, wonderful personal service and we had a memorable time. As a side note, after serving they even went around and asked if we needed refills and took our plates if finished. Super service and attention to professionalism.

Ordered the philly steak pizza and crab stuffed mushroom.. They both tasted delicious.. and service was great and friendly..

We took a bus load of at least 75 kids from Franklin County High School. The staff was ready for us. The waitresses were awesome putting up with mostly boys. Special shoutout to Kelsey. Thank you. The food was great exactly what a group of mostly boys likes, pizza and pasta. I am not usually a fan of pizza But I thought their pizza was great. The manager came around to talk to all of us. He even took pictures of our group afterwards. I live a good ways away but I will be coming back to visit. Thank you so much for the good time!!!
