We didn’t stay at the B&B did reserve the dinner with wine pairing which we enjoyed. This place is a beautiful, well cared for and well preserved farmhouse. The ambience can’t be beat. Early arrival means a glass of crisp champagne while you get to wander around and admire this gorgeous house (so don’t be late!). The food presentations were excellent and the wine descriptions were a nice touch. We enjoyed the wine and the food overall. Everyone on staff was excellent and accommodating. I could’ve use a bit more seasoning on some of the food courses but for the price of the food +wine pairing, ambience and wonderful staff you absolutely cannot beat this place. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation asap.

The Farmhouse at Veritas is an amazing get away and if you're a wine lover, you need to get there sooner than later. The staff were amazing and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and the wines were amazing. This was our first venture into Virginia wines and it was not a disappointment. Veritas has sparkling wine that is the same quality (if not better) than a lot of champagne that Ive had. I will recommend this place to all I speak with.

My husband and I enjoyed dining and overnight accommodation at the Farmhouse as a gift from our children. It was first class, from the beautiful room and wine in our room to happy hour before dinner, champagne going into dinner, and fabulous food and wine pairing. The following day, we had an excellent breakfast before heading back home. Thank you for a beautiful evening, and we will be back!

We had dinner at The Farmhouse, as I was looking for a romantic upscale dinner with my girlfriend. The Farmhouse is a beautiful old farm home in the middle of the Vertias vineyards. They had one prix fixe seating at 6:30 pm. Cute touch, our name was on the table reservations card. It was four courses, described in detail on the menu card along with the wine pairing. The room we were in had four 2 tops. They brought each course in for all the tables at once after the wine for that course was poured. Perfectly orchestrated. Simple terms: first course was shrimp and grits with tomato conserve - wonderful, second course was black bean lentils with duck stock and pickled fennel - very comforting, entree was local beef tenderloin medallion cooked to a perfect MR with lamb demi Glace, creamed collard greens and sweet potato hash. Dessert was poached pears with sorghum brown butter cake and creme anglaise. Service was elegant food was wonderful. They need some exterior lighting. Very dark parking lot. Might fall into the vineyards if not careful! No children allowed. Great place for a special dinner or to get engaged!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The food is phenomenal. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The staff is wonderful. So many great touches that other B&B's don't have, such as fresh baked cookies available all day, the 5pm wine hour with snacks, and the impeccable service at dinner. Truly a 5 star experience.

We had the distinct pleasure of celebrating our wedding at the Farmhouse, and it was probably the best decision we ever could have made.
The 8 rooms on the property made for a wonderfully intimate and unique environment. The house itself, nestled among the vineyards, was charming and picturesque.
But what really is important to know that you can't tell from pictures is that the staff are all so wonderfully kind and helpful, and that the food is absolutely and indulgently divine. Those two elements really made the weekend something special, and we're so glad that we ended up celebrating our wedding with this amazing team at the Farmhouse.

Truly an incredible dinner experience all around. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often!
We arrived early to get our champagne and walk around the property, which is gorgeous.
We were seated in a private dining area, with special menus that said “Happy Birthday”, since I let them know I was celebrating there.
The service is top notch. But beware, you can’t add more guests to your party after a certain time so if anything changes with your reservation, let them know ASAP!
The wine pairings with each meal were fabulous. I especially liked trying the ice wine at the end with dessert.
I also love that they change the menu and are seasonal! Our menu was dreamy! The first course shrimp and grits had us all licking our plates. We even asked the chef at the end how he made the grits. Perfect!!
The next round was an interesting goat cheese and corn soup. Loved the pumpkin seeds with it.
Then….the filet. YUMMMM! Now they don’t ask you how you like it cooked but we all got rare which was fine. The asparagus was nice with it too.
The dessert topped it all off, with a perfect peach compote and almond cake that had us all delighted.
Or maybe it was all the wine.
Not to be missed is the pipping hot French press coffee we all enjoyed after dinner. Again, superior service, cozy atmosphere, and we enjoyed our convo with the chef afterwards.
It was certainly a special occasion for the price, but in my party’s opinion, very worth it and a night we will not soon forget.

We wish we could have stayed here but thankfully at least were able to make a dinner reservation at the restaurant. Phenomenal! Very personable experience with a budding staff and chef that aim to please. We had the filet mignon and which was cooked perfectly and the wines were outstanding. I have experience in the wine industry out west as well as food and wine pairing and this was such a gem of a find. The atmosphere was incredibly picturesque as well. WELL worth the price and there wasn't a single dish or wine we didn't like. We will be back and would recommend to anyone!

My husband and I came here for a Friday night dinner and were delighted by the delicious menu prepared by ches Chris Tidwell and Ricardo Rafael.
The property itself it beautiful and up for a tour as you wait for dinner to start at 6:30PM.
Tonight the menu was duck breast with blood orange vinaigrette with ansom mills sea Island peas, carrots and parsley, paired with their cab franc. While duck isn't my favorite, I still found this course delicious!
Then, we had roasted winter squash house made creme fraiche, freekeh, pistachios, and chimichurri. It was delicious, I love winter squash so I was delighted to see this on the menu. Then the third course was beef tend to Lauren with a red wine demi glace and rutabaga. I'd never had rutabaga before, but I'll definitely be seeking it out after this! Of course we finished with dessert, which was an absolutely divine lemon cheesecake served with blackberries and a lavender creme anglaise .
The meal was served with an amazing pairing of wine which included Cabernet franc, Chardonnay, Claret, and a Kenmar.
Overall, while definitely pricey, I'd say the experience, the beautiful location, service, food and wine is definitely worth it!

My wife and I enjoyed a few days at The Farmhouse at Veritas as we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Our experience exceeded expectations. The personableness of the staff, the agreeableness of the atmosphere, the excellent food and wine, the pastoral setting. It was all magnificent. One of the guest informed me that he and his wife have been frequent guests of The Farmhouse for several years. Another gentleman shared with me that the atmosphere was kind of magnetic to him. I understand. Sipping a glass of Chardonnay while rocking and reading in the mid-afternoon, walking to the Tasting Room for lunch, or strolling the vineyard, all have become welcomed memories. I heartedly endorse The Farmhouse at Veritas for the quality of the experience.

The Farmhouse at Veritas is a real gem for anyone in need of a romantic getaway featuring great food, wine and mountain scenery.

Our room features a large sitting area with a desk and plenty of coffee and tea. The bed was up a spiral staircase. We've been to inns where some very clever photography was employed to disguise the true size of the rooms. Nothing like that was done here; the photos posted are straight off in iPhome with no maniplation.

Unknown to us before arrival, wine hour for guests ran from 5 to 6 PM. Many of the vineyard's offerings were available on a self serve basis. After that it was Champagne time from 6 PM until the first course of dinner. Dinner was four courses, each paired with one of the vineyard's own wines. The service and presentation were exceptional. Think about the hot chocolate scene on the Polar Express: every course came out with enough servers to deliver it all simultaneously. One server per course had the duty of describing the wine pairing.

Breakfast the next morning was also a wonderful experience. It began with the house Champaggne, Fren Press coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The waitstaff never left any of those beverages go dry.

One final comment has to do with EV charging. This wasn;t advertised, but apparently some level of EV charging is available. We arrived to find two parkig spaces dedicated for EVs. One had only a post with a 240 VAC outlet. The other had a charging station plugged in. We pulled into that space hoping for a charge, only to find that it had a Tesla plug as opposed to the more common J1772. This was our second encounter with this situation in two days, so a Tesla to J1772 adapter is on Santa's list this year.

We had a fabulous time at The Farmhouse. The staff are always so attentive and are always cheerful. Gabriela Is a joy she is always so helpful and kind.
We stayed for two nights and loved the location it is stunning at any time of year. Breakfast was so delicious we always enjoy the excellent food ,coffee, bubbles and juice. The Farmhouse is so relaxing, clean and very well appointed.
We enjoyed the Wine hour daily. Dinner was exceptional no stay should be without the dinner and pairing. Alex and the wait staff are very attentive and seamless in their presentation.
We have stayed at the Farmhouse many times and each time it has been exceptional on every level.
Thank you for helping us create such lasting and very happy memories over the years.
We look forward to our next stay.

I attended the 4 day yoga, hiking, and wine retreat at The Farmhouse. What an absolute gem of a find! I booked the event on a gut feeling after reading about this family owned and operated property. I am SO glad I went with my gut! There is absolutely nothing in comparison. From the luxury food, artfully decorated living spaces, warm atmosphere, and incredibly personable staff, there is so much charm at Veritas. As for the wine, it will speak for itself! I truly enjoyed every activity on our itinerary. The hikes were picturesque and the yoga was so very complimentary to the day's activity. I was blown away with the cuisine. The chefs cater to any dietary need and did so with great confidence. I returned home feeling grateful, energized, and excited to return! Special thank you to Chloe, Mia, Ariana, Alex, Gabriela, Carlinda, Jonathan, Emily, Patricia, and countless other team members for making this retreat extra special!

This was the first time I have ever stayed at any B&B and I must say, The Farmhouse at Veritas did NOT disappoint! The pictures online do not do this place justice! It is absolutely beautiful (even in January) and the staff was so accommodating. Everything from the check-in, to the evening wine hour, and did I mention the restaurant?!?! The breakfast (which is included in the room rate) was top notch! I was trying to find a menu online but it literally changes everyday and when you sit down the chef personally comes to your table to take your order. I cannot WAIT to come back! Well done everyone, it really made our anniversary quite memorable.

If you are considering joining one of their 4-day retreats do yourself a favor and book it ASAP! I participated in one of the retreats this year and do not have one negative thing to say about it.

From the second that we arrived - and were greeted with a glass of bubbly - we felt like a part of the farmhouse family. The farmhouse is beautiful and the retreat schedule was well thought out and allowed us to have the perfect combination of a wellness and luxury food and wine retreat. We enjoyed yoga and hiking with Chloe and Mia and appreciated the fact that they cater each activity to the skill level of the participants. The cellar tour with Emily was the best I have ever taken. The vineyard tour with Patricia was incredible - she was so generous with her time and the passion and knowledge that she and her family have for winemaking was apparent and probably why they are able to turn the grapes they grow into such exceptional wine.

Each meal that we enjoyed was a delight! The chef was thoughtful in considering everyone's dietary restrictions and focused on using local and seasonal products (including some that he foraged himself that day!). Nothing was an afterthought - even the soup and sandwiches that we took on our hikes were delicious!

The farmhouse retreats are an exceptional experience!

Absolutely amazing across the board! Stayed here for a yoga and wine retreat with my mom and sisters. It was amazing! It was organized, but flexible too, based on the weather and interests of the group. Yoga was 2 times a day, with activities in between and everything was tailored to the group. We had an almost even mixture of women friends/families groups, and couples. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I can't even begin to explain how great it all was! The owners, family, and staff were delightful and very customer focused, to the point when sitting outside reading, I started to get cold, one of the house cleaners brought me a blanket, unsolicited! I enjoyed hearing more about the farming process than I ever have at a winery in VA or CA. All of the rooms were delightful, the house was warm and inviting. The stable house is great with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a full kitchen (we only used it for coffee and the fridge), a nice sitting room and the most amazing views out all of the windows. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Came for dinner celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. One of the best meals we've ever experienced, accompanied by some of the best service we've ever experienced in one of favorite environments; the blue ridge mountains. Can't wait to return!
