Foster Falls Camp

I LOVE this place. It is a happy place for me. So glad to see they are open fully again. The trails are always well maintained, and the views and grounds are just so pretty.

Awesome place for tent camping, picnic area, BBQ, fishing, swimming, floating, hiking and bicycle trails. Not very crowded at all and close to highway 81. Definitely check it out.

Great place to go on a walk or hike, part of the New River Trail parks. Don't forget to pay for parking.

This is a beautiful area along the banks of the New River. Unfortunately, you have to pay $7 to park even if you are only going to stay a few minutes.

This is one of the most beautiful river campgrounds I have ever seen. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to ride your bicycle on the New River Trail.

Visited on a Saturday and was surprised at the number of people on this day. Usually I visit the park during the week and I have it almost to myself. This park is clean well kept and the park employees are kind and attentive. It’s been a pleasure to visit here. If I’m fishing or floating the river or taking a bike ride on the trail it’s always been a good time. I wish all our parks were so well kept. To all those that work at the park. Good job and thanks for all you do.

Beautiful place for a birthday party! Shaded picnic tables with a playground in sight and all with a beautiful view of the New River! Saw lots of people tubing, swimming and fishing.

Very nice campsites and the trail is beautiful and easily traversed.

Don't let the name fool you- there are No waterfalls. The expansive stream is beautiful and full flowing. Appropriately cared for landscape- not pristine and not overgrown. A lot of check it out yourself treasures. Fantastic old buildings from a mansion's architecture to old work buildings of all sorts. Visitor center with info and crafts for kids, big and small! The waterway, scenery, and other natural entities are understated in a beautiful way.

This is a gorgeous Campground. Well maintained sites with tent pad, fire rings, picnic tables and lantern poles. All sites are very level. Pit toilets only. No showers but there is potable water on site. Loved the access to wagons and the little free library.

Absolutely loved this park!
They have something for everyone in the family .horses to ride kayaking ,bike paths even a little market which I didn't get to go in. Great place to spend the day have a picnic and enjoy the sights.

Great place to camp by the river with walking trail

The campsite is very well managed by people who genuinely want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a gift shop where you check-in that has souvenirs that include windbreakers, long and short sleeve shirts, and sweatshirts that would be great if you left something behind or if it was cooler than expected. The camp store has lots of basic supplies including ice and firewood at reasonable prices. The toilets are kept clean. Camp employees visit the campsites often delivering firewood, answering questions and letting everyone know about hazardous weather, nearby points of interest, local wildlife, etc. The campsites are kept in great condition and include a picnic table, a bench, a pole for hanging lamps, wet clothes, etc and a fire pit with adjustable grill. Wagons are provided for hauling gear from your car. All in all a great place to visit.

A great place to spend an afternoon fishing, a weekend camping, or take a quick run. All the people I have meet here are friendly. There are historical sites by the camp to check out and a great trail nearby. One of my favorite places to visit to get out of the house and enjoy a little nature.

Had a lot of fun riding the horses only state park in va you can do it. Never did it before 4 of us went and can't wait to go back. The horse Perky n i became best of friends.

Most amazing place ever. The staff here are always ready to help and make suggestions on fun things to do in the surrounding area as well as at the campground.

Beautiful spot to camp located in the middle of the New River rail trail. Primitive camping at its finest!
