Sonny's BBQ

We had a great experience at this Sonny’s Barbecue. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with what to order. The specials (on the table top cards, not on the menu) were definitely the way to go. We both had a pulled pork sandwich and side, which was a good amount of delicious barbecue. They have quite a selection of sauces. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and will stop there again.

Wonderful BBQ chain. I wish they were in SWFL. I had the pulled pork with fries. The food was delicious! The service was also very good. Nice restaurant and very clean. I would go every week if they were in Cape Coral…

Stopped today on our way south, about another 2.5 hours to go. Have not had Sonny’s for over a year (ours closed near us in port Charlotte, boo), still awesome bbq. My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch break with the $10 special ( ribs, pulled or sliced pork plus 2 sides and cornbread). Great meal for $10!! Sides we had were tater tots, baked beans, coleslaw and dirty rice, all were very good. The meals arrived quickly and our waitress was efficient offering to go cups and or refills. Hard to drink a refill as the drinks are huge!

Upon leaving we were met again by the hostess who held the door for us and said have a great day! Big shout out to your hostess today. My wife got to talking with her saying we missed the potato salad, too bad it was gone. Well it wasn’t, we just missed it. She ran inside and brought out a little side dish of potato salad to go!!! What a nice thing to do and wished my wife happy Mother’s Day! What a way to treat your customers. We will stop now at this restaurant every time we drive by (and they are open). Can’t say enough about the fantastic service, made my wife’s day. Thank you

Just stopped again today 1/2/24. Same as always, everything was great. Tried a burger today, one of the best I’ve eaten. Of course the potato salad was awesome as well as the service. Until our next stop.. loved the place, thanks

Although this is a chain restaurant, all the ones I've been to have their own individual flair. This location was clean, friendly, easily accessible with plenty of parking. The inside was spacious and the staff while I was there certainly were pleasant and professional. The food was the high quality and standards that Sony's barbecue usually provides as I would certainly recommend.

First time here and the food and service were amazing! I ordered the ribs, BBQ chicken, chopped brisket, various sides, and corn nuggets (per the recommendations in the reviews). Everything was INCREDIBLE! 🤤 Especially the corn nuggets.

I ordered Sunday at 6pm, and despite being busy, the food came out hot and fresh. I picked it up curbside and the process was very smooth; by the time I got there, I only waited 10 minutes (which was reasonable considering how busy they were).

I WILL be coming back to dine in with my husband. Thank you for a great first experience, Sonny's!

1st time here and Brittany took good care of me. I was in town for work and she gave me great recommendations! The food was wonderful. The spiked lemonade was great too!

All the servers were very hardworking, everyone was bustling around making sure tables were taken care of to the best they could. All the workers had smiles and laughs showing what a good work crew can do for the employees and guest. overall a great experience if you ever decide to stop in for some bbq.

Service was excellent on the Wednesday around 4:00 when I walked in. I noticed that they now have a bar so instead of waiting to be seated I said it to bar, being that I was with an employee and we were both eating. Service was fast food was just as good and you could even have a drink. I didn't drink an alcoholic beverage I had the original Sonny's sweet tea which is one of my favorites. Also had the sunny sampler I must have been hungry because I ate it all

Stopped on the drive from Tampa to Jacksonville.
Our waitress was extremely friendly and gave great service. The food was delicious! My husband had the brisket sandwich and I had the pulled chicken sandwich on garlic bread.
Get the garlic bread! And the green beans were sooo yummy.
Would definitely recommend!

This store should be the model for the rest of the stores in Marion county. The server was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, the food was delivered quickly and hot and correctly. We eat at Sonny's probably once a week, I wish this one was closer to our house. We would never go to the one on 40 or on State Road 200 if this one was easier to get to

Hit the drive thru on my travels today. Yea was sweet, pork was tasty and it was all fresh, hot and fast. Will definitely come back.

My oldest son and I had an enjoyable experience here. The place wasn't packed, the service was good (and friendly), the food was hot, the beverages were HUGE, and everything was freshly made.

The restaurant is fairly new and very clean. There are plenty of BBQ options. The portions are nice and the price is good. My pulled-pork was tender and flavorful. The Red Neck Egg Rolls were a great appetizer and definitely worth having!!

My server april was amazing she is so sweet and nice such a great attitude food was hot and fresh I definitely will be back if April is there she made me and my husband's night

Matt came and checked in on me and my daughter and also gave her a free cookie!! Store was clean and the baby backs were delicious!!! I can tell why they are so popular here!!! 5 out of 5 everytime!!!

Our server name was April and let me tell you I watched her today take care of a very large table and ours came before they did and she was hussling and working so hard she didn’t miss a thing that is one hard worker and always smiling she was very nice to our kids as well makes them feel important food was very good but the service was amazing

I have always enjoyed stopping but for lunch or to have cocktails and visit with the other regulars! Bri is clearly an outstanding gal behind the bar during the afternoon hours. Keep up the good work!

Ive had Breakfast and brunch all has been phenomenal. Definitely enjoy the food and the wait staff is awesome. My son is over a year old and people watches and the wait staff is all smiles when they walk by. Even the kitchen staff get a smile on them when my son waves at them.
