The museum is located in Downtown Pensacola. Admission was very reasonable. There were plenty of cool artifacts and culturally diverse displays. Luckily I was able to see the beautiful Magic Carpet featured during FooFoo festival. Several local businesses and restaurants are within walking distance of the museum.

I like the design of museum and how inviting it is as you walk up. It’s not cluttered and it’s well organized. There is a nice store to purchase souvenirs and other items.

I like that the way the history is displayed and I loved the exhibit on 3rd floor; Black Politicians During Reconstruction. I appreciate this display because it’s a very important part of US history.

I also LOVE the Trader Jon’s display. It’s set up as his restaurant. He was a very interesting man and they think he had the most rides with Blue Angels as a civilian. I think he didn’t charge for anything but traded with those in military. And he treated all the same regardless of rank. Seems like a great man!

I highly recommended visiting this museum if in the area. Don’t forget that you purchase a $10 ticket at the Museum of Art and can visit all museums. It last 7 days. The ticket on Sunday is half price because only 3 museums are open; Children, Art and History. But only good for that one day! You have to go see what this city had to offer!

This museum is about the perfect size for me. I took my time going through all 3 floors of exhibits in about an hour. The blue angels exhibit was first class. The admission price also gets you into the art museum across the street. There's a nice park right across the street, too. Definitely worth checking out if you're in downtown pensacola

Lots of historical information and displays. Covers the full time period from natives to each settlement by France & Spain. Local history of Pensacola area and people who lived here over the years. Friendly staff.

Excellent location to visit. History of every generation...all packed into 1 place. The Building alone is absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and stunning displays of History. A definite win for people to pass your day inside when the weather outside is too extreme. Lots to see and enjoy.

Love ... Love the passion that goes into preserving the History of One's world

Matt guided us through Lavalle House, the old Christ church, the Lear/Rocheblave house, and finished at the Door house.

I appreciated his friendly, enthusiastic presentation as well as how informed he is about history.

I recommend this tour!

Really nice museum especially the old bar that was recreated there where the Blue Angels and other aviators were known together.

I loved this museum. A cabinet of curiosity collection, the recreation of Trader Jon's, and tons of Florida History items (as to be expected in a Florida history museum). The attendant was very helpful and the admission was reasonable since it includes multiple museums.

TLDR: Great museum, convenient location, unfortunate 3rd floor exhibit.

Detailed interior with many exhibits. There's an incredibly intricate room dedicated to Trader Jon and the legacy he left on the community.
The style of the exhibits was very intriguing. There are three floors. The first is focused on the older history of the region from approximately 1500s - WW1. The second floor is focused on recent history from approximately WW1 - present.

*TRIGGER WARNING*
The third floor is focused on the history of the Ku Klux Klan in the region. The floor is simply labeled as "Special Exhibit" with no indication of the nature of the exhibit. Visitors be advised.

Do not miss the chance to visit the AMAZING group of museums and guided tours available in Pensacola. The rich and storied history is played out with the 'living villiage', who's hard-working participants answer all your questions and laugh amiably at (what I am sure) are the same jokes and remarks the hear many times a day. We had the pleasure of being on our guide's first ever tour, (feel terrible that we didn't insist on getting her name!) and she transported us with her knowledge and humor to what it was like in the beginnings of Pensacola. All staff was amiable, helpful, and engaging. Fun and educational for all ages, plus the price is hard to beat: $8, per adult for SEVEN DAYS access to almost every museum in town.

The Pensacola historic district ($10 per person) was a great experience. The ticket is good for all the historical sites. This includes the history museum, art museum, museum of commerce, and the guided tours of the historic houses in the area. History museum was very interesting, had three floors with different exhibits, the third floor being a revolving exhibit. Bathrooms are located on the second floor, an elevator is available.

Melissa guided us through Lavalle House, the old Christ church, the Lear/Rocheblave house, and finished at the Dorr house. She is very knowledgeable of local Pensacola history as well as the houses and their artifacts. The tour lasted about two hours and she didn't miss a beat. She was engaging and an entertaining storyteller which made the tour an enjoyable experience. Thank you!

A very unique architectural style building on the outside. It's got character. This museum which used to be called the TT Wentworth until the name was changed due to revelational reasons to what it is now. Aside from that, this structure used to be the original Pensacola City Hall at one time. Also the King and Queen of Spain visited here when they came to Pensacola years back. I toured the museum, and enjoyed my time there, while examining all the interesting displays. The park across the street is a nice spot as well.

This is a nice museum. My boyfriend and I took the kids Saturday about 6:00 p.m. Learned quite a bit. It's three stories high. Everyone enjoyed. We didn't do the guided tour. Customer service was polite. They gave me four passes and said that the passes are good for seven days. I asked if I can use thenm for the other museums in downtown Pensacola he said yes.

A lot of stairs to enter the building and I couldn't find an accessible entrance or I missed the signs. 3 stories of local history (there's an elevator) with special exhibits on the 3rd floor and a former local military geared bar on the 2nd.

Very informative history museum. I do love how the exhibit changes every few months or so. This way you can revisit the museum and see something completely different. I went with my service animal and it was a pleasant visit. The front desk was helpful and made checking in with purchased online tickets easy and fast.

Yes, this is a great museum as part of the multi-museum ticket. I enjoyed the displays and appreciated how well everything was laid out. The historic building was also superb. Do yourself a favor and buy the $10 ticket and see this museum plus several other great sites.

Very interesting museum with a lot to like. Personally loved the Trader Jon's Bar being a retired Aviator, brings back some post-mission "debriefing" memories!
