Absolutely beautiful space. Walked in during their in between lunch and dinner specials. We decided to sit at the bar and were met with wonderful service. The food was divine. We got the pork tacos. It was two tacos and they were FULL of meat that was insanely flavorful and juicy. I ate one before remembering to take a picture they were SO yummy. I about licked my plate clean.
The beverages were delicious. I forgot what it was called but it had rosemary in it and was perfectly balanced.
Literally cannot wait to go back.

Food was delicious! Service was exceptional. Corey the bartender made us an excellent spicy margarita and gin martini. Customer service provided by Richard was awesome. Highly recommend trying this place out. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I were on a date night, and we wanted to try a new restaurant, but everyone else was packed, we were also on fixed time because we had a show to go to downtown. We came across this place , and were able to get in, we ordered the rib-eye, and mashed potatoes, salads, and drinks. The quality of the food so far is superb, and the mashed potatoes (I actually thought looked like desert from the kitchen) is fantastic! You can also see the kitchen which is made out in front of you, and someone from the restaurant came and asked how the food was, very personable, I like that! He had told us that the restaurant had only been open for just 3 weeks. For a restaurant that has been open for only 3 weeks we were impressed. We definitely plan to be back again, as long as the quality of food, and service does not go down.

First of all, the filet was incredible. Like melt in your mouth good. Husband and I also split the caprese and the pesto was to die for. The wine selection was impressive and the vibe was charming! But the best part was that we asked for a table in the back (had our noisy toddlers with us) and they were SO accommodating!!! I even left my glasses and the owner/manager chased us down to the ice cream shop to return to us. Really went the extra mile. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a first class experience and want to be treated like family. Thank y’all!!!

Probably one of the best restaurant on the coast! The scallops and the gumbo were both perfect. We had the Halibut for entree and that too was done perfectly and so fresh. We spoke with Johnny the owner and his work with the community is also worth mentioning. The service was excellent and the ambiance was warm but not overdone. Great job overall!

This place is phenomenal. This is coming from a foodie, a chef & veteran in kitchens from Miami to New England .. mark my words this place will be rated as a top restaurant in the area this year.
Cory was tending the bar and taking care of my wife and I. He was knowledgeable, tentative and checked in on us the right amount.
I run my mouth every where I go and ended up talking to the owner, and so glad I did. It was a pleasure meeting him and I am sure his staff appreciates having an owner like him. He knows what he is doing!!
A+ the food was excellent and the whipped potatoes are FANTASTIC!!

Nice place for lunch and will be back again. Good burger. Menu was limited to burgers sandwiches and salads. Cost of lunch for two was $55 and included a few beers and tip. Very nice atmosphere and service. Beer selection could be improved and slightly more creative menu. Will go back again!

Great location, very attractive, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, attentive and friendly staff. Had the Blackened Pork Belly (Wow!), Caesar Salad, Coulotte and Ribeye steaks (perfect) with Parisian Whipped Potatoes (soo rich!) and Haricot Verts. Everything was incredibly delicious. Shout out to our server McKenzie who was especially charming and gave us exceptional service. Go check them out...this one's a keeper!

They have bottomless mimosas with food purchase in Sunday for sure. And wow the crab and "some sauce" omelet is perfection. Also the servers are young and stylish. They get it. Wonderful food, staff, and atmosphere. It packs a bunch of character into its small space. While it might be a little on the high side for burgers, the portions are largrle, so you definitely get what you pay for. Overall, this restaurant is a must for lunch or dinner when visiting downtown.

The atmosphere is fantastic as well as the service. The owner is a really nice guy and checks in with the customers and chats a bit if you’re up for it. The food is excellent. There are simple ingredients that are top tier. There are also more complex dishes but all ingredients are carefully chosen. I could frequent the bar often! Great lighting. Every choice from the ingredients to the atmosphere are delicately chosen and that made my experience as a patron to where I certainly will be a loyal patron. Another thing that makes me want to go back is the owner came up to me with a “chef’s treat” to try something special from the kitchen. That was such a treat! Chef’s kiss!

The food was beyond amazing.... best salad I have ever eaten. The steak was so tender and every appetizer we tried.... AMAZING!

You’re not going to find higher quality steak in the panhandle. The owner, John came up to us and offered us a free sample of hangar steak that tasted UNREAL. As good as the steak is, the potatoes are the best part. This is a must visit restaurant if you’re in Pensacola.

I have enjoyed this relaxing yet hip atmosphere both as part of a private event, for a casual dinner & also at a special brunch raising money for a favorite local charity. Finally Pensacola has another great steakhouse option outside of Iron! Everything about Bar Steak is top tier, the cocktails, zabuton wagyu, halibut, whipped potatoes and the service. The cost is very fair considering the prices you pay at inferior establishments in town. People say Jackson's, McGuires or the District serve a good steak, thank goodness we have a new place here that supports those restaurants do not serve a quality steak. It's a exciting time to live in Pensacola as the food scene is improving drastically thanks to awesome restaurants like this!

Great food. Excellent steak and I personally loved my potatoes. Ceasars salad is brilliant. Servers need a little more experience, but I understand that is already being addressed. Also had breakfast there, and even better. Will be back. Appreciated the attention from Jacob and Johnny.

Just had our second fabulous experience at Barsteak. The food is over the top. Delicious and unique. Not your normal run of the restaurant dishes. Lots of attention to details from the chef. All the ingredients were fresh and the food had a lovely homemade taste. Service was wonderful. And as a wine connoisseur the wine was over the top. Selections were great. Can’t wait to go back again and take more friends.

I’ve never savored a meal so slowly. Best steak of my life and I grew up in the Midwest. The best steak my mouth has ever tasted. Also tried the swordfish (catch of the day) and salmon, and chicken, and each was cooked to absolute perfection. The Parisian whipped potatoes were advertised as being room temperature and were the creamiest, butteriest palate cleanser my mouth ever tasted. I was skeptical at first but now I understand. I got my (Denver) steak cooked medium rare, my friends’ rare(but also slightly medium rare- rare+?) and there was truly a difference between our steaks. The meat was tender and flavorful, the vegetables complement the entree. At a price accessible to a milennial crowd, this might be a bit pricier than your average Pensacola restaurant but fully worth a special occasion (like reuniting with your BFF Airman returned from the Middle East, who once dined with the SA prince). Filling portions, delicious drinks and lovely service (especially on thanksgiving eve!). I feel like I’ve leveled up in my dining experience.

Very professional and friendly service. The owner and manager are extremely personable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The steaks are phenomenal and I highly recommend the southern ceaser salad. We will be back.

Staff was extremely professional and efficient. Johnny makes you feel extremely welcome and created a family atmosphere. I had the New York strip and cooked to perfection. I am from San Diego and I would come back here just for the dining experience. Thanks for the experience.
