Cactus Flower Cafe

Stopped by mostly accidentally, just looking for a bite after fasting for lab work. The staff were extremely welcoming and provided great service. The dining area was very clean and looked great inside. Excited to come back intentionally, bring my wife and try some of their drinks. Food was great.

Wow! I was blown away my first time here. I had a gift card from Christmas and so I stopped by for dinner for my bf and I. The steak bowl I ordered was top notch. Even the sweet tea was perfectly sweet. Bfs food was incredible. Cute little cozy place. I will definitely be a regular. Great food and great service. Thank you guys for a great experience. :)

It's been many years since I last dined here. As wonderful as I remembered. The menu was fascinating with many interesting options. This instance I tried Southern California Burrito. Steak medium rare and very spicy. I also had Spanish Rice and smashed beans. Everything was excellent although it could have been spicier. I also had the top shelf margarita but this was okay. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Parking was easy. I wanted to dine outside because it's October and the evening Weather was pleasant. Overall it's a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely like to come back again.

Great place to eat, this is our first time here but we ordered the queso and burrito bowls. We were able to eat outside and enjoy the music. Jessica was our server and she was fabulous, very attentive and Attn to detail is on point. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Pensacola.

One of my faves! Food is good, service is always excellent, and the family whom owns it is very nice. I recommend the Margaritas, but watch out....they are small, expensive, and ADDICTIVE!!!

I went to Cactus Flower with my family this week and was very nervous eating at a new spot with a food allergy. However, I discussed with our waitress, Evelyn, that I had Celiac Disease and a dairy allergy and she reassured me of menu items I could order safely without the risk of cross contamination. I ordered the steak carne asada burrito bowl with some modifications and it was 10/10. Also, the chips and salsa were delicious! I was so excited to have found a new restaurant that I can safely eat at without getting sick. Evelyn was so wonderful and even told me she'd make sure the chefs knew to change their gloves and how serious my allergies were. We will definitely be back and will definitely request her as our waitress again! Thank you, Evelyn, for taking such great care of our party of 10!!! :)

Cactus Flower is consistently one of the best restaurants in Pensacola and easily the best Mexican Restaurant anywhere in NW Florida.
I love the food and staff and the care that goes into it all. Best chilli rellenos I’ve ever tasted.

We drove quite a ways to get there, and on our trip there, the neighborhoods were looking mighty sketchy. 🤪

I was thinking (what have I got ourselves into). We decided that we've drove this far. We might as well check it out!

Just as we turned the corner to the street, that the restaurant was on... the neighborhood was much better.

The restaurant is located in a little business, Square. we really enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent!

We were so pleased with our experience at Cactus Flower Cafe! Friendly staff and excellent service! I got the fish tacos with soft corn tortillas and were so happy with how they tasted! We were also pleasantly surprised that the black beans were seasoned incredibly well!

Our go to place! I normally get their California burrito or chicken tacos. It seems there is some variation on the Cali burrito depending on who makes it I guess, but never disappointed with whatever I get. Normally I get take out which they are normally very good about and any time we've dined in (mostly when we have visitors)they have been great, accommodating every request. ( restrictions/ kids). Thank you!

My sister was in town. We enjoyed everything! Love the queso and the sweet tea. I’m glad we picked Cactus Flower! Yummy!

Cactus Flower Cafe in East Hill! The owner took our to go order on the phone; she opened this place after moving from California to try to help with the—we’ll say lacking—availability of cultural food in Pensacola. She delivered!

The chicken enchiladas (pictured first) were hands down the best enchiladas I’ve ever had. Order them. The SoCal burrito (pictured second) was fantastic as well as enormous, the picture doesn’t show a good angle but it was about as big as a plate and loaded with steak and potatoes. The refried beans were fresh and not greasy and the lime rice was like a premium version of what you’d get at Chipotle. Not pictured was the guac which was the best I’ve found in Pensacola.

I too moved here from California (a trend?) and this is about as close as it comes as far as freshness and the “west coast flare”. A clear cut above the other Texas-themed Mexican joints around here. I think some of the local trucks adequately hit the CA street food vibe (Tacos Mexicanos, El Asador, etc), but this place had all the comforts of your classic family owned Mexican restaurant in California that uses premium ingregients and homemade recipies. I will be going for a run tomorrow though.

The restaurant is a sweet vibe too with a coffee shop attached to it - all open until 9. Will be back soon on a non-school night to try their fresh squeezed margaritas. Cheers!

Nice little restaurant! Friendly staff, white linen tables. Currently at 50% seating capacity due to Escambia County Health Statute. If the weather is decent, consider eating outside at their patio. California cuisine has a 'lighter' feel, which is a consideration for those that are health concious.

Nice, cozy Cali-Mex Restaurant. Fresh menu, not your routine Mexican food. I had the California Street tacos with spicy shrimp. Restroom was clean. Service was fast & friendly. It's a really nice lunch destination during the work week.

We have been a couple times now. Love the food and the drink specials. We will be back to explore more of the menu.

I have to give Cactus Flower five stars for their outstanding service! The place was full but our server was attentive and super friendly. The food was excellent; the salsa and chips were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I also like that they have art from local artists displayed on the walls. This will definitely be a go-to whenever I’m in town.

Went for lunch in this tucked away little gem in a strip-mall. Can't say enough how good the salsa/chips & Queso dip was! Our California Burrito was fantastic The wait staff was friendly and accommodating! Try this place out - you'll be glad you did!

Cactus Flower is my go to restaurant when I want fresh delicious fish tacos. The food is always delicious! Friendly people , outdoor eating with live music on Thursdays.
